Comparable to Annabelle and Quo in terms of quality. Colour saturation can be inconsistent among colours - I have some of the 'old' square shaped containers of singles as well as some palettes from the company. A wide variety of colours, and when on sale a real deal. My only knock against them is that I have to go to Rexall to get them, which is not really in my area.
However a note for Torontonian's, the Rexall at Yonge and Eglinton recently renovated and got a much larger display, ergo a better selection of goods.

I found this in the "Everyday" variation at Marshalls for about $7. The colours are not terribly finely milled, but if you use an eyeshadow primer they do stand up all day. The individual colours are small, but a lot of them are similar and I do tend to find that if I like one, I also like the one on either side of it. Great for people who like variety, or teens who like to feel like they get a lot in the package.
They do not seem to have a lot places to buy their line, and I haven't tried to order from over the border. But I have found some of the line at well.ca, some at Marshall's/Winners and apparently Target Canada has some too but of course, they don't have online shopping yet.

I am officially switching from Smashbox to this. There's no a thing wrong with Smashbox, but even with conversion, this is about $10 CDN, vs. $50 for Smashbox, and I can't see or feel a $40 difference. Almost everything I've tried of e.l.f. has... +

There's no a thing wrong with Smashbox, but even with conversion, this is about $10 CDN, vs. $50 for Smashbox, and I can't see or feel a $40 difference. Almost everything I've tried of e.l.f. has been decent, and very well priced. here's to hoping they come up with a permanent home in canada. Although I've lucked out with shadows at Marshall's/Winners quite a bit. -

I can't recall how I got started on Primer's but probably from the cosmetics women at Shoppers, who seem to always point me in the right direction (or the very least, the ones at my local store do). It adds that touch of longevity to foundation, or in my case tinted moisturizer. Makes you look good when going out sans coverage or if you opt for just powder gives it something to stick to. The only issue is the price is higher than i'd like to pay. -

This is professional hair colour that I pick up at a beauty outlet in Toronto. I've used other professional colours, I've used drug store colours, and this is my favourite by a landslide. In my personal opinion the trick to effective at home colouring is knowing whether or not your hair takes colour well, choosing a colour that is close to your natural colour and having realistic expectations of the product. Trying to go white blond from brunette at home probably won't work. Having said this, I love their reds, except the Brilliants, the colour is saturated and with some good conditioning doesn't do too much damage. Apparently this brand is 2nd to L'Oreal in overall sales worldwide. -

I find this cream a little overly fragrant and overly sticky. It won't be one I repurchase once I'm finished with it.

This will probably be the winner of my long lip balm replacement search. Even though it's a bit more 'vaseline-y' than I'd like, it goes on easily, isn't in a chapstick type container, smells good, and tastes good. The flavour I have even has a bit of sparkle in it, although as i mostly wear it to bed, it's not really a feature I was after. My only concern is that I bought it out of the sale box at Shoppers' so it might be harder to find.
I noticed from the picture i downloaded that other flavours have some colour, I bought a coconut one which is sheer, so I might like the darker pinks better for weekends and a more natural option.

I purchased this as part of my quest to replace a now discontinued favourite. It wasn't terribly easy to find but I did eventually find someone along Danforth who sold it and purchased the Bazooka (like the gum) variety. My old favourite had a taste as well as a smell, but this only had a light smell. It's a good lip balm, but lacking that taste I was after, so my search continues. -
