So yes I did get the chocolate bar as part of a sampling program, but in real life I'd have given it a pass because it's got mango in it and I don't love mango, in fact that weird sulfur-y aftertaste I find real mango has is here too, so perhaps they're using real fruit.
Unlike the Blueberry version, I didn't find the smell overwhelming when I opened the it. The coconut, crispy texture was nice enough, but again I don't love dried fruit in my chocolate, so this one is a miss for me.

As a participant in the ChickAdviser group I received this chocolate bar at no cost. Because it was a cold day I let the box sit to allow the chocolate to warm up. I opened the Blueberry Almond first figuring it would be among the flavours I preferred and was initially hit with a strong smell of blueberry flavour. I'm not certain that added to the experience.
I have a thing about chocolate being too thin - Lindt does this with their bars, so it was nice that this was a little thicker, but somehow still missing that feeling of your teeth sinking into it. I didn't like the dried bits in the chocolate, which I understand are part of the experience, but generally I like my chocolate without mix or with nuts only. So that took away from my experience, having to use my tongue to pull bits out of my teeth.
Finally the chocolate itself, while not overly sugary, is missing that slightly tart flavour you usually find with dark chocolate.
Overall it's fine, but not my version of ideal.

Was working a job over the holidays were i was touching a lot of paper that seemed to be treated with a chemical that created micro cuts on my skin, add hand washing in and my hands were a mess. This was a well priced cream that I was able to keep in my purse and saved me for a lot of wear and tear although not completely. The only bummer was that it was a little more scented than I would have liked. -

I got a sample of this somewhere, but I just looked it up and it's about $80 a jar, so way out of my price range, although there was enough in the sachet for a couple of night's trial, so it was nice while it lasted. Although a nice cream I did find it stung a little, so it's probably got an active ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin. However at that price point I won't be able to confirm. Oh well. -

I received a small trial sample from another sampling company in December. The bottle was quite small so I wasn't certain I would get enough to give this a decent try out. However after trying alone (no serum) the first night I woke up with 2 pimples and a dry patch on my chin. I have fairly normal skin, not too prone to breakouts but i am dehydrated so my skin always wants hydration. the following night i tried the sample with serum and still woke up with dry patches. I discontinued use after that.
I suppose if the goal was trying to make me look younger, pimples is one way to achieve this... but not the one I would have chosen. Pass.

I got these over Christmas and generally I don't love these, I find it easier to just wash my face, and it doesn't result in garbage, but I figured I'd give it a try. With make up on, I feel like i still need to rinse my face off and deal with the leftover mascara and liner - which I generally don't have to do when I wash my face. With no make up on I still feel like I need to rinse off the residue left on my skin. Might be handy if away and not able to get to water easily but otherwise I think I'll skip it. -

I picked this up after Christmas on offer for $14! But even at the original $35 it was a good deal, 8 shades, 6 blushes/powders, 5 lip colours, a mini mascara and a few tools all in a black box that folds up into a little box. Unlike many Quo collections the box is very plain, which is a bummer because I generally love the containers as much as i do the product. So far the colours I have used have been up to Quo's general good standard. As I'm trying to use up a few things before i buy more I figured I should get one last good deal in before my self imposed moratorium. -

When my favourite day cream with SPF wasn't available, I went looking for something else, and started with Marcelle. It's a little lighter in terms of moisture than I'd like, considering it's winter and my skin is dehydrated, but overall it does a nice job with the texture and the SPF should be OK for the winter months. -
If you don't really need a primer that much this might be a good product, but unfortunately I need something that really sticks as I have deep set eyes and my shadow creases by noon, which is what happened here.
