Priced very reasonably and of decent quality, I have not yet tried all the colours in the palette but of those I have tried, the pay off is OK. The colour isn't very saturated, so you'd need to either use a bit of water to darken it or try adding more. But it stood up well over the course of the day. -
I'll admit the pretty colours, fun packaging and low price point drew me in, but the colour is very pale and each one is a little inconsistent. I certainly can't complain for under $7 but you can probably do better for your dollar. A bit... +

I've been trying a few new primers to replace Smashbox and now have found a second one I like. I find it works as advertised, keeping my make up in place over the course of a day, as opposed to it being absorbed into my skin or just simply disappearing. My only real issue with this so far is that it is only available at Walmart. I'm not a huge fan of Walmart and it's not the easiest place to get to as most of the stores are out of the downtown area. -

I've been looking for a less expensive version of Urban Decay, which is great but not easy on the wallet. I'd heard very good things about this product but it's very hard to find in Canada so when a friend was in the US she picked me up some. It is a smaller container than UD, and in a wand not a squeeze tube, so I'm sure I won't be able to use up all the product like the UD container but it's about $2 US, which even with exchange is under $2.50. Based on the last time I bought UD eyelid primer I can buy about 10 of these! I bought the sheer and wore it all day today and after 13 hours just a bit of creasing - which due to deep set eyes also happens with my UD. I'm impressed, -
I missed this collection but found one last eyeshadow palette on the SDM 'sale' shelf. I ended up with a lovely set of pastel colours, many of which I will use as liner's but at $10 (on sale) you certainly can't complain about getting 8 new colours... +

A friend picked this up for me in the US as elf is slow to move into Canadian retail. A tinted lip balm at $2 US, a smallish pot at 4 grams but give a lovely little bit of colour, I have Berry and Grapefruit, a slightly sweet smell but no taste in anyway, which I like. The balm itself seems to stay and provide protection. I put some on after eating and licking my lips and it provided a nice layer of protection. elf provides interesting cosmetics, often comparable to product 4 and 5 times the price and this seems to be one of them. -

i love the essence mini collections and sadly shoppers doesn't seem to be doing them as often as they used to but I was in today and found a "Good Girl/Bad Girl" collection and picked up a very dark purple, almost gothy lipstick for $3.49 which is pretty much what i want to pay for a colour i'll probably wear sparingly. There was also a very bright pink and gold collection of shadows i might go back for! -

I received a decent sized sample (there were 4) in the mail, but the sender was unknown. I'm not certain I understand how to assess that one pantyliner is better than another, but there wasn't a plastic-y top that made you feel uncomfortable, they were individually wrapped so you could carry in your purse, and the liner stayed in place. I'm not certain this sampling made me a fan for life. I suspect I'll still buy whatever brand that is one sale when I need these next. although there was a coupon attached that might help. -
Received this from (another) sampling company and it's OK. Not certain it lives up to it's claim of length and volume, but seems to wear well and wash off easily. it does have a strong smell, which I find a lot of CoverGirl products do, that is... +
Received this from (another) sampling company and it's OK. Not certain it lives up to it's claim of length and volume, but seems to wear well and wash off easily. it does have a strong smell, which I find a lot of CoverGirl products do, that is off putting. Not certain I'd replace my favourite mascara with it, but for under $10 it seems good. -
I think this came in a shoppers GWP and it's a decent little buffer, but it's very small. No idea if they still sell them and honestly I only use it on the rare occasion I come across it in the drawer, but i do find because it is so small it comes... +
