I was at Mambo over the Canada Day weekend and I loved it. As a spicy food and pretty drink enthusiast, I was not disappointed. I tried the Lolita Cola and loved the twist on the traditional pina colada. My friend tried the margarita. The drinks weren't blended like i expected, but poured over ice, as is the tradition. Mambo has a $15 lunch special that makes having lunch and drinks on the patio totally worth it. -

This translucent powder sets my makeup and keeps it in place all day. I like how light the formula is since I don't normally use a powder and I like to keep my makeup light in the summer. The only problem is if the packaging opens your purse, or dresser, will be covered in it, so keep the little plastic piece that comes inside the container to keep the powder from moving from one place to the next. -

I was given this product to try out and I must say, it works pretty well. NIP FAB have an amazing line of products to cover my biggest beauty worries but my dry lips are the worst. The nanolin in it prevents moisture loss and I really noticed a difference after using it for a few weeks. I even stopped coating my lips in Vaseline at night. -

I was given this book by a friend and I absolutely adored it. The book consists of ten letters to a young student at a military college in Vienna who wants to become a poet. The student sends his work to Rilke in hopes of getting a bit of criticism, praise and advice. What he got was so much more. He gave life lessons. This book made me think about my life, not only as a writer but also as a person. It's inspirational in a way that few books are, and every letter has some lesson I need to learn to live by. Fun fact: Lady Gaga has a passage from this book on her arm. -

I''ve only been to Yogatree once but I absolutely loved it. The building is pretty, the change rooms are cleanly, and the staff is friendly. As for the class, it is definitely worth it. I'm not an avid yogi, I only go a few times a year, but the instructors make the class accessible to you no matter what experience level. So I kept the moves to a minimum, while others tried a few more challenging poses. It was also my first time trying hot yoga, and I would definitely recommend it. I forgot (well didn't know) that I needed a towel, so I rented one for a toonie. At the end of the hour long lesson the instructor offered a lavender scented oil to the class, I'm not sure why but it did smell good. -

I got this set years ago and still love it. The set comes with three DVDs, a basic step-by-step program for beginners, I used it once to get myself used to the moves, a 20-minute workout, which I love, and an advanced workout, I believe this one is 50 minutes long. I love the 20 minute workout for before or after a run. It's shorter than watching a sitcom so if there's nothing on it can't hurt to pop in a pilates DVD. Mari's videos focus a lot on the abs, which is wonderful because as she says it really helps your posture. The side-kick series if done right can also really help tone your bum and thighs. Mari Winsor's gentle coaching is motivating enough for me to continue through the video. -

I tried this razor for review and I really love it. It comes with two blade cartridges and the holder for it. The first time I used it I was pretty happy with the results. It left my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. I didn't bother using a shaving cream with it, just a bit of my body was and the results were comparable to shaving with a shaving cream. -

I got this camera for Christmas after I broke mine while skating. So I guess the thought was this is a camera that will withstand my clumsiness. But I would not recommend this camera. It is rounded on both ends, therefore you can't stand it up when you put it on timer to take any group shots. It is literally entirely automatic. So I can't put it sport mode when I want to capture quick moments. I can't put it in night mode when I want to take pictures at night. I can't adjust the ISO, I can't adjust to indoor and outdoor lighting. It zooms well I guess though. -
