I was chosen to test these from the product club along with Nutrisse hair colour. I was a little worried about using Fructis, I have become a loyal Everpure Sulphate Free user. But I was pleasantly suprised when it left my hair feeling very soft and easy to blow dry / straighten.
I am not sure the colour will last as long with it, I noticed more fading already than last month but that could also be connected to my shampooing my hair after colouring this time to get rid of the crunchy feeling. However, I am sure it does work better than most shampoos (it seems very gentle, yet has a lovely scent) and lathers well.
But as far as value for money for a reasonably priced shampoo and conditioner, it is great quality and I will definitely use it on the occasions when I can't find my regular brand

I was chosen to review this alongside the Fructis Color Shield products as part of the Chick Advisor Product Club was so excited since my hair needed colouring
I love the non drip formula, it was easy to work through the hair and one box was enough to cover my fairly long and thick hair, although it does have quite a strong smell which seemed to stay past rinsing. A big plus for me was the latex gloves, I hate those huge plastic hands ones. Like some others have mentioned in their reviews, despite rinsing for what seemed like forever, it did not rinse completely clear and that may be part to blame for the 'crunchy' feeling it left my hair, even after using the conditioner that came with it. However once I washed and styled my hair the next day it was back to normal.
I picked Blackcurrant and I love the colour, I have some grey around the part in my hair and I found those to be bright pink for a few days but they soon toned down and so many people commented on the colour.
On my second colouring, I left it on for a little less time than advised and after the water ran mostly clear, I shampooed and no crunchy feeling, so I would definitely use it again now that I have the timing for my hair worked out

Like some of the other reviewers, I would love if this had a higher SPF rating as my review is also affected by my having to use sunscreen with it as SPF15 is not strong enough for me in summer. I did find that it left my skin a little greasy (the norm with sunscreen) but by using sunscreen as well as the moisturizer my skin was quite greasy, which I do not find with my usual day cream and sunscreen. However, on a day when I was not leaving the house and in need of SPF30 it worked well and I did not find the same level greasyness.
I didn't notice a change in the fine lines, but I do find its a good moisturizer, it is thick but absorbs well (especially for one with added sunscreen) and would certainly consider it for winter when my skin tends to be very dry but not for summer when I need sunscreen as well unless it had a higher SPF version.
The one major plus was that its hypo allergenic, my skin can be fairly sensitive, especially with sunscreen and I had absolutely no issues with this, which was amazing.

I usually use l’Oreal hairdyes so this is my first time using a Garnier one, the instructions seem the same, until you get to the 10 minute development time. Usually its 25 – 30 mins and I leave it on an extra ten because of my dark hair so 10 is a little disconcerting (it says I should leave this shade on for 15 though inside the packaging – it pays to read well).
My first complaint however, if the gloves, maybe I have been spoilt with the gloves my regular hairdye comes with, the typical latex gloves doctors use etc but this one comes with those flimsy plastic giant ones that don’t conform and get the hairdye stuck in the creases to leave a large blob somewhere.
The dye has quite a nice scent, probably due to the lack of ammonia as stated on the packaging, matching the bright purple of the dye once the two cream coloured liquids mixed – it reminds me of those cheap childhood candy things. I did find it was a little harder to mix them well compared to my usual brand and the bottle got quite warm as they mixed – not sure if that is normal.
Application was the same as normal, use on dry hair, work through all the hair etc – sit for 15 mins wondering is this really long enough, rinse and condition. The conditioner is thick like a restorative mask for your hair and left my hair feeling really silky, and despite not being permanent, after quite a long time, the water did run clear.
The colour, while my hair was still wet looks good, I can still see a few greys but it seems to have covered up most of them, which is great – although how long that lasts remains to be seen, when dried, some of the greys were quite orange so I shampooed and conditioned and it is much better.

Secret Flawless Touch with Olay - Silky Tropical Scent - Conditioning Solid
I am a huge fan of Secret products but this is not one that impressed me.
The claims:
Strong protection - pretty much
Goes on clear - no
Smooth & Lightweight - partial
Olay Skin Conditioner - yes
Continually refreshing fragrance - yes
First, this is not a solid, it has a consistency that is thicker than body wash but not by much and does not seem to dry well when applied unless you stand with your arms in the air to dry it, even an hour after applying, it still feels like grease.
The Olay in the formula does work, leaving much smoother pits, and it does not sting after shaving, however it does not go on clear and does not pass the black clothing test, leaving a white mark (this may be more to do with the fact it does not dry well and when it does it goes white and almost gritty)
I will admit, I did not smell BO but the scent is quite strong, probably stronger than my scent free workplace allows for (deodorant is usually ok but the scent is strong enough that people may question whether its just deodorant)
Overall, there are much better products out there, even Secret products, and they are slowly moving away from this product in favour of Smooth Effects themselbes

I love this foundation, it is cost effective and spreads well when applied leaving an even finish that is not too shiny nor dull. I found it a little difficult to find the right shade despite having pale skin (usually I can just go for the lightest, but it had a yellowish tint so I went to the next one up which was pinker). Despite the drip nozzle, I still find it applies best with a sponge applicator, but unlike my usual cream foundation, it doesn't have a tray to keep it in so I find it hard to keep it with me and I usually have to reapply before leaving the office so have to keep the sponge in a ziplock bag in my makeup bag (to keep it clean_ which doesn't let it breathe. But overall I love how it looks and feels on my skin -

This is by far my favourite blush, I have very pale skin so it can be hard to find a blush that looks natural and the mousse does a great job of this - it blends well for a really natural look.
The fine mousse means it spreads well and does not leave a thick / gunky feeling while still leaving a nice spread of colour which lasts all day - it just looks as if I had been in the sun for the day and not overly made up but can be layered further for evening use when you want to look more made up
However, I find that the container is a little small to get a decent spread of the blush on your fingers so I use a small sponge applicator meaning I waste some each time I use it and once you use more than half of the container it can be hard to get the correct amount because of the size and shape of the jar

However I find it is not stocked in many stores so is not on my general buy it list

I too have a love hate relationship with mascara, many mascaras tend to irritate my eyes and I did not find this with Colossal Volum' Express and I do like the brush, but I did not find it any more volumising than most other mascaras. Like mentioned already, it does have a strong smell to it which isn't very pleasant.
For me, it did live up to its claim of only needing one coat, non clumping and staying in place but was tougher to get off than it says but and takes a while to dry
But overall, it is a great everyday mascara and I keep one in my purse all the time

I was really surprised by this, many cleansers made for breakouts dry my skin but this foaming cleanser seemed gentle on my skin, although really tingly, leaving a fresh and clean feel to my skin without dryness - which is amazing for combination skin.
Within 3 days all of the spots have gone and my skin feels soft and clear
I also love that it has left the harsh chemical smell of Noxzema behind for a fresher citrus scent, and two pumps goes a long way so the bottle will last a long time
