I picked up this set of three Mariposa gel nail polishes with top coat for $3 at Dollarama, curious to see how it would compare to other no-light faux gel polishes.
The colours are fairly blah, neutrals with a little bit of shimmer that is barely noticeable on the nail but they certainly lived up to the long wear challenge. After 10 days, there was a little tipwear but no chips and I am hard on my nails. They did lose some shine over the 10 days, so adding a shiny top coat later may be a good idea.
Picture is shown on day 10 of wear!

With long thick hair that takes forever to dry and style, I have tried a lot of dry shampoos to get that extra day between washes and batiste will always be a favourite.
Batiste Blush has a light floral scent that lasts but is subtle throughout the day (although smells quite strong when first sprayed) and doesn't suffer from that white powder look of some other (even high end) dry shampoos. Who wants to trade in greasy roots for dandruff looking ones? The one for dark hair is my go to, but if I have to pick from the scented regular ones, Blush is my go to.

This one really does depend on body chemistry though, I know someone who wears it and I disliked the smell of it on her, but after trying a sample, loved it on myself

I have a Micropedi and another no-name brand electronic foot file so I thought the Amope would be just like them and have never really given it a second thought. When I received the Amope from ChickAdvisor to review, I was shocked at how much better it performs. Without the lip of plastic that the others have, it is easier to get calloused areas near the toes and the fact it has 4 batteries not 2 like the others means it is much more powerful too.
While I used it as soon as I got my hands on it, I put it to the test on his horrible feet. After a week of daily use, his thick callouses are almost gone completely.
While I thought my feet looked pretty good after using the MicroPedi, so much more skin came off using the Amope just the day after.
Amope found a customer for life with this product review opportunity!

This worked well for a drug store brand of sunscreen. I often break out using sunscreen on my face and did not while using Coppertone Sensitive. It also did not leave my skin feeling greasy and looked ok under makeup unlike some that are too white or do not absorb well.
I had no issues using it either, my skin is semi-sensitive, but sunscreens tend to be the worst for sensitivity for me so definitely an added bonus as I hate trying new ones only to deal with rashes or breakouts for a week or more afterwards.

Vichy's Idealia Life Serum really works for my skin. It is hydrating, has helped minimize the look of pores and looks great under makeup. The slightly pearlescent/opalescent look of the serum gives your skin a dewy radiant complexion. I noticed since using it that more people have commented on my makeup looking great etc.
The only downside to it (apart from the price) would be that find it pills slightly. Maybe it just doesn't mix well with my moisturizer and another lotion would work fine with it, but I have to scrub slightly with my fingers before applying moisturizer and makeup.

I truly love this stuff, and once my freebie from chickadvisor is done, will be buying it again. While it is on the expensive side, it works better than many more expensive night creams I have tried.
My skin looks and feels so much better after using it for two weeks.
The only downside to it, is that it is a little greasy when first applied. I don't find it makes me oilier, but it takes a while to absorb so you have to put it on a little before bed. With my hectic schedule, it is not always possible and I am lucky if I remember to put on a night cream some days. The gel-cream formula is great though, it does not feel as heavy as some night creams and smells great without being too strong.

I love this stuff. I was sent Vichy ProEven Night by mistake as part of a Vichy Daily review from Chick Advisor and while I found the daily stuff decent and it has helped my skintone, I love the ProEVEN night.
After a few weeks using this as a serum nightly and a mask once a week, my dark spots are still visible although they do seem to be fading around the edges. My skintone, however, is brighter and more even and my skin feels better. While I am not sure I would buy the daily cream again, I would definitely buy the nighttime so am really glad they sent it.
Compared to other dark spot products, I find this one less harsh so am willing to wait longer for results, I did not have sun sensitivity after using it and it feels high end, I love using it as a mask. I didn't notice a next day difference as promised by Vichy, but over a month, my skin looks so much better.

In fairness, I have not used this long enough to see any dramatic results and do not not expect huge changes from a non prescription product in just two weeks. That being said, after the first use, my skin felt better and after a few days of using it, my skintone looked more even. The individual dark spots were still there and did not look lighter, but the overall look was better. I think the edges are fading as the dark spots are starting to look smaller.
The Daily Dark Spot Corrector works decently as a moisturizer too, I needed more in dry areas, but if you are blessed with "normal" skin, you probably don't need much more.
The price point ($48.50) would probably stop me buying it, but if I see more impact after using the full tube, I would likely buy it again.

I received all seven of the Baroness chocolates to test and review and this was my least favourite of the collection, mostly based on personal taste rather than Tantic Tiger being faulty or inedible in any way.
Semi sweet chocolate always makes me think of raiding the baking supplies when I am low on regular chocolate which probably colours my opinion of this one a little but I am just not a fan of Tantric Tiger (despite the amazing name).
The ingredients in this one are generally not ones would go for (I do like sea salt but the cranberries and semi-sweet chocolate I can do without). I am sure if you are a fan of cranberries you would probably like it. Like some of the others, they have opted to put the cranberries and almonds inside of the bar rather than sprinkled on top as shown on the packaging. While I am a huge fan of the Baroness Chocolates brand, I don’t ever see myself buying this one but I do recommend it if you like cranberries and semi sweet chocolate.
