It does have medicinal ingredients but it doesn't leave that yucky medicine-y taste in your mouth, which is great for girls like me who constantly lick the gloss right off their lips! It also works great as a base under lipstick/gloss. I've only used the original formula but it also comes in mint, strawberry and cherry. -
