My kids were SO excited to see this come out of the box, and I was SO excited to give it to them. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations.
The concept is fun - a vehicle that converts to a rescue station that launches projectiles. As a adult, I don't know where launching projectiles fits into the Paw Patrol MO; it's a little more aggressive than we're used to seeing from the fun and friendly pups. But that's a minor philosophical issue for another discussion.
My kids seemed to find that the trailer didn't open smoothly. They have to manhandle it and the final position is awkward for even their little hands. Storing and loading the projectiles is easy if you can work around the top of the trailer. My girls desperately wish it came with a few more projectiles (what are they, anyways? Balls? Darts?) but I'm sure more can be purchased conveniently online or at major retailers (eye-roll).
At the end of the day, my kids (ages 6 and 3) will play with it alongside their other Paw Patrol vehicles, but it's never going to become a favourite.

Becel Salted Plant-Based Bricks

I want to start by saying that we love butter and I can't see us fully swapping it for margarine. That being said, we would choose Becel bricks if we ever did make the switch!
I tested this in some our favourite ways to use butter: for baking, spreading and cooking. I made a batch of our favourite cookies with the Becel, and we loved them just the same. The taste and texture were virtually identical to our regular recipe made with butter. We also used it to top waffles, spread on toast, and prepare our grilled cheese sandwiches; each without any discernible difference in flavour! Lastly, I used it to lubricate various pans for frying eggs and potatoes. With liberal use, it worked just as well as butter and, in one pan, even better than olive oil.
The first time I used the Becel Plant-based brick, I spread it on toast and licked it off my butter knife. I did not like the mouth-feel; I found it more oily than butter. I did enjoy the taste of it on my toast, however. My favourite feature of margarine compared to butter it the out-of-the-fridge spreadability. The Becel bricks did not disappoint in this way.
I will definitely purchase this again. As a matter of fact, I can see myself keeping it on hand. It is a great alternative to butter, and more cost-efficient, too! And - bonus! - it's suitable for vegan applications, which we dabble in.

Applesauce is a staple in our house. We eat it straight-up, as well as adding it to smoothies, oatmeal, and a few recipes. We have tried many different brands and flavours. This one really stands out. Our three-year-old says it's the best ever! The Tropical flavour is different, and we appreciate variety! We found that it tasted mostly like pineapple, which we love.
If I had a complaint, it would be that we came across a few pineapple seeds. Not really cause for concern, though.
We will definitely be getting more of this!

I mixed this with some cold brew coffee one morning before a hockey game when I didn't want heavy proteins like bacon and eggs (breakfast of champions!) weighing me down. It has an impressive 30-gram dose of protein, which, along with a bagel, got me through my game without hunger pains.
I did try this straight at first, and though the chocolatey flavour is good, I didn't love the thickness and sweetness. It is *generously* artificially sweetened. Personally, I would rather have it half as sweet, and made with real sugar. Diabetic consumers may find it suitable, though.
I didn't find it chalky, which I liked better than some powder mixes I've tried. Also, who doesn't love a grab-and-go snack?? Just make sure it's well-chilled!!!
Would I recommend it? Not for frequent consumption, due to the artificial sweeteners. But occasionally, for a pick-me-up before or after exercise, sure!

I pounded this after a fast, physical hockey game and I honestly think it helped me refuel quickly. With 30 grams (!!!) of protein, I had the strength and energy to relieve my husband of my two small children and take a few moments to hang out with them when I got home, before I got a proper meal together for the whole family.
In terms of taste, the caramel flavor was good and overall, didn't have that strong "meal replacement" taste. However I found this drink to be *very* sweet. And because it's a creamy drink, I found that the sweetness stuck in my mouth until I rinsed or chased it away. Offputting, to say the least. I would have rather had half the sweetness from real sugar, than overdo it with artificial sweeteners. That being said, it could be an option for diabetic consumers. Alternatively, you could mix it into milk or cereal or a smoothie to help make it more palatable, if artificial sweeteners don't bother you. And definitely drink it cold. The colder, the better!
Would I recommend it? Not for frequent consumption, due to the artificial sweeteners. But occasionally, for a post-activity pick-me-up, sure!

The oil feels silky smooth and spreads nicely. It absorbs within a few minutes without leaving any shine or grease on the skin. It moisturizes well and you can apply makeup over it with pilling or caking.
It's a little pricey but most anti-aging products are, right? A little goes a long way with this product, though, so maybe the cost will balance out.
I wanted to #TryNeutrogenaRapidWrinkleRepair for wrinkle prevention. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to truly rate its effectiveness for a few years. But I've enjoyed testing the products and can see myself continuing to use them and hoping for the best! I love a face scrub! This is a nice cleansing scrub that is gentle enough to be used twice daily as recommended. I love the concept of prepping your face for the retinol oil treatment by scrubbing away debris and dead skin.
However... this cleanser cannot pull double duty as a makeup remover - I had serious raccoon eyes compared to my regular one-step cleanser, which removes my mascara and eyeliner cleanly.
Also, I would characterize this cleanser as having a rich composition - which is my nice way of saying that it doesn't rinse away easily to leave my face feeling bare and "squeaky clean." I would expect this from a good moisturizing cleanser... but I cannot really comment on this one's moisturizing ability because I always followed it with the retinol oil.
I'm looking for a wrinkle prevention regimen. Only time will tell if this lineup is effective, but I've enjoyed using the products and can see myself continuing to use them and hoping for the best!

My family loved this applesauce! My toddler will gobble it up any time of day. My husband likes adding it to our smoothies. We often buy Mott's Fruitsations applesauces and really enjoyed this new flavour. It's got great flavour - even unsweetened. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the added fibre, but I can appreciate the additional nutritive value.
I did have trouble tracking this new product down in my town, but hopefully it'll be on my local grocery store shelves soon so we can get more!

It provides looong lasting moisturization for my skin between showers. It's lightweight and non-greasy. It's fragrance-free, which suits my scent-sensitive husband well. It spreads nicely and you don't need a lot (I use slightly less than my usual body cream to cover the same area). I #gotitfree from ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club a week ago, and my skin has felt hydrated ever since. I'm even nine months pregnant and prone to dry skin, and I haven't seen a single scratch mark or dry flake anywhere I've been applying this miracle gel! Repeat customer after just a few applications!
I'm looking forward to trying the face gel of the same line when I finish my current bottle of facial moisturizer.
