As someone who typically just uses a plain ol' bar of soap for shaving, thinking it was sufficient, this shave gel made me realize how much better it is to sometimes buy a product for the purpose it serves. This gel lathers into a thick rich thin layer of foam that dissipates down in seconds so that you can see what and where you're actually shaving. It's soap-free, pH balances, and made without parabens, dyes, fragrance and silicones. The ingredients list is minimal and pretty much 100% safe! Most of the ingredients are emollients, including coconut, olive, and jojoba oil, leaving your skin incredibly moisturized post-shave! -

This is such a unique product and I can't say I've ever tried anything like it. It’s a liquid rinse-out treatment that is applied to hair after shampooing (avoid the scalp). Leave it on for only 10s then rinse out. The idea is that it soaks into the hair to form thin layers called lamellas. It advertises having no sulfates, silicones, DMDM hydantoin, parabens, or phthalates. Which is all great until you read the ingredients list and it contains one of the worst baddies of all - ALCOHOL DENAT. This alcohol is very drying and should absolutely be avoided. It also contains about four perfuming agents, including two of the worst - linalool and limonene. I feel that this would've been a great product and I'm not sure why they had to ruin it with those three terrible ingredients. I had a good final result, but I think if I used it consistently, my hair would suffer over time. -

This was a pretty good product for my hair because I have a hard time figuring out what to do when I get frizz. I can't add any heavy oils because it instantly weighs down my fine hair and just make it look greasy rather than hydrated and shiny. This formula nourishes dry curls and adds shine without any weigh-down. The feature ingredients are Plant Keratin and Argan Oil. Some other emollients include soybean oil and candelilla wax, stearyl alcohol (long-chain alcohols are safe), and propylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate - all great moisturizing ingredients (which may sadly be countered by the alcohols - read on..)
Some negatives: This product is very scented and contains a lot of perfuming agents. I personally like that it has that signature Fructis smell - but this might not be ideal for those with sensitivities. Lastly, this product contains isopropyl and benzyl alcohol, which are both very dehydrating, making hair brittle and can lead to hair loss.

I'll be honest, I've always had such low expectations for these kinds of pre-applied wax strips. I never imagined they could get warm enough to work, but low and behold, these worked amaaazingly! I heated them under a hairdryer for a few seconds, peeled it open, and applied one strip to each side of my bikini line. I finished the whole process within like 2 minutes! I've never been able to wax my bikini line this fast and from now on I'll always keep these handy for when I need a quick wax! It also comes with a 5mL spray bottle of Ultra-Soothe Oil, which smells and works so well! -

This is SUCH a neat concept - basically you microwave the bottle for 20s, turn it upside down so the sugar flows to the roller, roll it straight onto your skin, then apply the strip over top. I couldn't believe how well the roller applied a consistently thin layer of wax! So much better than scooping and applying wax with a flimsy popsicle stick! I also tried it on my armpits, which I've been terrified to try due to some past waxing trauma (lol), but it was so easy and only painful for like 5s after ripping off the strip! The only downfall with this wax is that the sugar drips out of the roller after a few applications. But all I had to do was unscrew the cap and rinse it under warm water and it melted away! -

This lotion has been a staple in my childhood home for as long as I can remember, and it is now my main go-to body lotion that continues to be a fixture on my bathroom vanity. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn't tried this lotion at some point in their lives! I feel like this was one of the first minimal-ingredients body lotions made for dry and sensitive skin. It contains only 9 ingredients, most of which are emollients, making it a great product for dry skin but not so much for oily/acne-prone skin. I use this lotion daily after every shower and find that it keeps my skin moisturized all day and I also love that it's unscented. -

This Aveeno body wash made especially for sensitive skin is super hydrating and smells amazing! It has a rich creamy texture that lathers nicely but doesn't strip your skin of any moisture. The scent is really fresh and subtle - I usually don't buy scented products but I really like this one. I did a thorough check of the ingredients list and really liked that the list is pretty minimal and that it doesn't contain any parabens, alcohol, or silicones. It isn't sulfate-free though as it does contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), but I wouldn't be too worried - this is a mild sulfate that is not nearly as irritating as SLS. I also saw a few skin conditioning ingredients in the list, such as oat extracts, soybean oil, and sunflower oil, all of which are pretty ideal for dry skin, but may be triggering for oily and/or acne-prone skin. -

I was selected to test and review Colgate Total Advanced Repair and Protect Toothpaste as part of a review panel for people with sensitive teeth. I've always struggled with weak enamel, and despite my efforts to thoroughly brush and floss my teeth, I still get at least one cavity a year or so. Toothpaste made for weak enamel is a MUST for me but usually these toothpastes don't have any other added benefits like whitening. I was really grateful that Colgate created a toothpaste that was both gentle enough for my sensitive teeth while also providing whitening benefits!
I thought the texture of this paste was great and I'm so happy it's not a gel paste (I hate gel toothpastes!). The flavour is minty but more on the mild side compared to toothpastes I've tried in the past. Lastly, this paste left my teeth feeling so squeaky clean, more so than my regular paste that I buy. Without a doubt this has become my new favourite toothpaste! #tryColgate

The Blemish Clearing Serum is a Salicylic Acid serum that also contains vitamin C, B5 & E, CoQ10, willow bark, green tea leaf, aloe, algae, sage, and fruit juice extracts. This serum aims to exfoliate, unclog pores, reduce breakouts, and provide your skin with antioxidants. I generally have quite clear skin but do get pimples around my nose and chin sometimes, so just like with the cleanser, I use this 2-3 times a week and it works with the cleanser to keep those pesky random pimples at bay! -
