AVEENO Restorative Skin Therapy Repairing Cream provides a silky barrier between harmful environmental elements and your skin. The moment you use it for the first time, you can almost feel your skin sighing in relief. It goes on smoothly, and doesn't leave a greasy or sticky residue. It may take some time to repair the seasonal eczema on my hands, but I believe that this will do the job! It is free of added fragrance (which is a blessing when you have scent sensitivities!), and has a faint clean smell. This sample received from ChickAdvisor will be used up within a day or two, but I will absolutely be buying a bigger bottle. #tryAveenoRST #chickadvisor -

I have been on the hunt for an effective natural deodorant for a couple of years now, and I can honestly say I have tried at least two dozen. I saw someone in a Facebook group recommend Schmidt’s line of deodorants, so I decided to give them a shot. After trying a couple of different formulae, I found the most effective one for me was their Rose & Vanilla formula. It may seem pricey if one is moving away from drugstore brands for the first time, but it’s well worth every penny, and a little goes a long way. I find that I have to apply it a little more often than drugstore brands, but I am okay with that! I highly recommend this product! -

I really appreciated the opportunity to review this product. A little goes a long way, and leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and radiant - which is a great result for 50+ skin. The scent is a little strong, but no unpleasant - it is a clean smell. The cream goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly, leaving a lovely glow on my skin. I have noticed a difference in the elasticity of my skin, so the product does work.
One thing that prevents me from giving this cream a complete thumbs up is the fact it's not classified as cruelty-free. I really wish they would do away with animal testing, and would also love it more if they used more natural ingredients.

I was excited to hear of a product that was specially designed to target the lip area - one of the spots on the face that tends to start showing signs of aging before the others. As a woman over 50 who hasn't always properly looked after her facial skin, I had started noticing fine lines creeping in on my upper lip area. So to have the chance to review a product for this problem area was an opportunity I couldn't overlook!
I love using this product, especially when my face feels overheated from the sun/humidity, as it really does have a cooling effect. It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and glowy. After using it for a few days, the fine lines around my upper lip and under eyes are much less noticeable. The scent is nice and light, a huge plus for something that is applied right under my sensitive nose!
The only thing preventing full endorsement is the fact it's not cruelty-free. If Vichy's parent company (L'Oreal) could go cruelty-free across the board, I think they would gain even more customers!

First off I have to say that I was thrilled when Schwarzkopf got into the at-home colouring game with their amazing lines of hair colour – available in drug stores, etc. Then when I found out they had created a root retouching spray, I was very excited and hoped I would get picked for a chance to try and review. I was so happy to have been selected, but when I received the colour I had chosen, I had to wait a couple of weeks as I had just had my hair coloured the day before I received it. I ended up selecting the dark blonde shade, as they didn’t offer a colour for red hair (hopefully that will change soon!). I went with this shade because the Schwarzkopf professional hair colour my stylist uses is a dark blonde intensive red copper.
While not a perfect match for my hair colour, the Dark Blonde Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher applied amazingly, and instantly covered my grey regrowth. Extremely easy to use, no fuss no muss (although you definitely want to drape a towel over your shoulders when applying it). It doesn’t make my hair feel tacky like other root retouching sprays have, and it lasts until you wash your hair. It rinses out exceptionally well, with no residue. There is no cloying scent, so it’s safe for those who are sensitive to fragrances. It doesn’t overly dull your hair either, as I have experienced with other products. The ease of use, the quality of coverage, and the Schwarzkopf name are all really good reasons to give this root retoucher a try. I have tried many different products for root touch-ups, and this is the best one by far. I would absolutely buy this, and will definitely be recommending it to my friends, colleagues, anyone who will listen!

The chocolate had a nice, smooth taste – not at all chalky, and very satisfying. It definitely gave me an energy boost and sustained me for several hours. It is great to see more health-conscious drinks available now, that aren’t laden with sugars and/or chemicals – with little to no nutritional value. Premier Protein definitely packs a lot of delicious protein in a small but flavourfully rich package. I highly recommend their protein shakes as part of a healthy lifestyle. -

ChickAdvisor sent me these free protein shakes to try, and to provide my honest review. They sent me two each of the chocolate and the vanilla. Even though Premier Protein cautions that their shakes aren't a meal replacement, they definitely satisfied me for a few hours, and gave me the energy I needed to power through the day. I can definitely see the benefit of drinking one before or after a workout (whichever works the best for your body). The shakes are delicious, and definitely don't taste like the protein shakes of old. They are smooth, rich, flavourful, non-clumpy and non-chalky - just thinking about them has me craving another, so I will definitely be looking for these in the store. It is great to find a premixed protein shake that is not only convenient, but it is packed with healthy nutrition and a taste to leave you wanting more. I highly recommend these (either flavour) as part of a healthy lifestyle. -

Good & Simple chocolate chip oatmeal muffins.
What I liked about these muffins: individually wrapped for optimum freshness and ease of grabbing on the fly or tossing into a lunch bag. The taste was good (although there was a bit of an - odd to me - aftertaste), and the chocolate pieces were delightful.
What I wasn’t as fond of: while I think that Good & Simple are on the right track with these muffins, I think taking them to the next level of healthy ingredients would be something worth considering, i.e., using cane sugar instead of sugar (17g), and maybe adding quinoa and/or chia seeds.
Overall though, I think they are good value for the money, and you cannot beat the convenience!! I would recommend them to others, for sure!

What I liked about these muffins: individually wrapped for optimum freshness and ease of grabbing on the fly or tossing into a lunch bag. The taste was good (although there was a bit of an - odd to me - aftertaste), and the berries were fresh and plump.
