I spent years trying a variety of different facial cleansers, looking for something that suited my sensitive, combination skin. Some didn't remove all my makeup, some dried out my skin, and some caused eczema flare-ups. Finally, I discovered Avene cleanance gel and my skin is happy! It removes my makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean but not dry. The bottle is a bit pricey, but it lasts for ages. My husband, who has sensitive oily skin, started using it and he loves it too. -

Full disclosure, I haven't met a Nivea cream I don't like. That said, this is my new favourite! It goes on like a dream and absorbs quickly leaving no greasy feeling. My skin has been so soft and moisturized since I started using it. I look forward to using it this winter when the cold weather is tormenting my skin. #gotitfree -

I really like the idea of micellar waters - no soap, removes makeup without scrubbing or rinsing. That said, I've never found one I've really liked. Nivea Micellair is the first that I would consider buying again. It removed all my makeup and my skin felt clean and soft afterwards. It also didn't have any harsh perfume to it and my sensitive skin tolerated it well. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same problem all micellar waters do - I need to use far too many cotton balls to ensure all my (minimal) makeup is removed. If that doesn't bother you though, this is an excellent cleanser. I will keep this stuff around for removing more troublesome makeup, but I will likely stick to my current cleanser for everyday. -

Vichy's after-sun milk spread on easily and felt pleasantly cool on the skin. It didn't give that instant cold relief feeling that other products do, but that's ok because once the Vichy kicked in, my skin felt so much better. Almost as if I didn't have a burn at all! The relief lasted a long time too. The next day, my burn looked minor and my skin felt moisturized. This product is comparatively expensive, but a little goes a long way and it actually works. I will definitely be buying this again.

I was completely surprised by this product. My mental image of Nutribar was the chalk-like meal replacement bars from the 80's. I won some of their Date & Walnut Bars from the new Nutribar Health line, and since they contain only whole foods, I decided to give them a try. They are very tasty! They are sweet and have a bit of a crunch - very satisfying! I love that there is nothing artificial in them; the ingredients are just fruit and nuts. They're vegan, kosher, lactose-free, preservative-free, low sodium, and non-GMO. And bonus? My fussy 3-year-old even likes them! -

Cleansers often leave my skin feeling tight and dry and looking very red. After using this gel cleanser, I felt none of this! My skin was soft and there was no redness or tight feeling. It did a decent job at removing dirt and oil from my face, but it fell short of removing all my makeup. I still had to use a separate toner afterwards in order to remove all traces of my makeup, which was a bit disappointing as I don't wear much makeup. Unfortunately, that always seems to be the trade off with cleansers for sensitive skin - they just can't handle makeup removal. Since it is otherwise a good cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin, I will continue to use it, paired with my favourite toner. #gotitfree -

I'm not usually a fan of moisturizers with SPF. They usually either cause me to break out or they aren't moisturizing enough. Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer with SPF falls into the later category. That said, it's still quite cold where I live, and I believe it may be moisturizing enough once the weather warms up. I liked that it didn't irritate my skin at all and that my (minimal) makeup went on well over it. I didn't find my skin looked any smoother, but my current moisturizer already does a good job of giving me smooth, even skin. I think I'll save the bottle and try it again in the summer when my skin isn't so dry. #gotitfree -

I feel a bit ambivalent about this product. It's not a bad product, but it's also not a great product. The mask goes on smoothly, hydrates well, can be used under makeup, doesn't cause me to break out, and the scent is light and pleasant. Unfortunately, I don't find it lives up to its claims as far as an anti-aging product goes. I have seen no reduction in my fine lines in the week I have been using it. I am also not crazy about how it feels on my skin. It tingles when applied, which I can live with, but after that it feels heavy. I feel like I have a thick foundation on, even when I am wearing no makeup. I will continue to use my sample as a moisturizer at night, but I will not wear it during the day and I definitely won't be buying any. There are more effective anti-aging products on the market that feel better on the skin. -
