I am always on the look out for a great mascara, and as a matter of fact, my makeup bag is full of them! When I saw the advertisement for Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara, I was excited to try it. I was even more excited when I was chosen to sample this product from Chick Advisor.
Well, overall the mascara isn’t bad – if you take the steps to ensure proper coverage. My first few times using it – honestly I didn’t really care for it at all. I found it time consuming, clumpy, and hard to apply. But I continued using it, and the more I did the more I liked it. Also, the mascara didn’t not flake or smudge – which is a bonus.
The packaging is great – and the spoon shaped bristle brush is unique. It does actually grab onto the lashes and provides good coverage and some lift. I didn’t like the fact that the stem/arm of the brush had a little bend in the middle, which I found annoying. There was no resistance allowing you to pull the lashes up because the stem would move as well.
I found that the mascara is very wet. I had to scrape a lot off of the brush before applying. I found that if you applied right out of the tube, it clumped my lashes because there is too much product on the brush.
I did find however, that one coat is not enough. A single coat will provide you only with a very natural look – which is great because you could use this mascara with your usual daytime makeup. I had to apply about 2-3 coats, allowing the mascara to dry somewhat in between coats to get the look I was hoping to achieve. Quite time consuming, but worth it if you have the extra time. To get an even longer looking, fuller lashes, I would recommend using an eyelash curler before applying the mascara to give you a more wide eyed look. Still the end result did not leave me with “falsie” lashes, but it did improve the volume and length.
Overall – not a bad product. If the formula wasn’t so wet – I believe it would apply better.
Would I buy it again or recommend? Sure, if the price is right, but I wouldn’t recommend if you want dramatic results – it is a good volumizing mascara but you don’t get the same look that you would from false lashes.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that I did not need a separate concealer for the dark circles under my eyes. I prefer to apply with a utility brush instead of the foam pad that is provided... it blends much easier and the coverage looks more natural. This is a little more expensive that your drug store foundations, but worth every penny! -

I received this through the Product Review Club (thank you!). When I read that it contained Babassu oil, I was hesitant to try it at first because I am prone to breakouts (any products that contain "oil" make me leery to use on my face!). Well, I gave it a try anyway and was pleasantly surprised – it didn’t flare up my skin! The serum is lightweight and non-greasy, it also absorbs into the skin very nicely. I did apply my moisturizer over the serum at first, but soon discovered it wasn’t really necessary to use both as the serum was enough. In the winter months however, it may be a different story as my skin is usually drier. The serum was also a great base for my foundation, as it wore well throughout the day and didn’t make my skin greasy. Though I’ve only been using this for a couple of weeks, my skin definitely feels softer and appears to be smoother already. I would recommend this product for anyone wanting to fight the first signs of aging and/or to use alone as a lighter moisturizer during the warmer months. -

I love this shampoo and conditioner! It smells like coconut and reminds me of a tropical vacation every time I use it! The price is amazing... the last 2 bottles I bought were on sale for $2.00. The shampoo and conditioner leave your hair feeling soft & silky and smelling wonderful. I was actually quite amazed the first time I used it that it worked so well on my highlighted hair! I picked up some small travel sized bottles to take with me on my vacation to the Dominican Republic this year. After being out in the sun and in the pool and salt water my hair felt like a dry mess. After shampooing and conditioning with Hello Hydration my hair felt great again, and shiny! I would definitely recommend this product to everyone... it is comparable to my salon brand products - and costs a whole lot less! -

This foundation is great! I received this through the product review club and am so glad I was chosen to try this new product. This foundation gives a natural looking finish and blends very nicely. I like the creamy/whipped texture... it dries to a velvety finish leaving my face feeling soft. I also like the fact that the foundation is unscented. The color I received was ivory, and it matched my skin tone perfectly. My skin tends to be on the oily side, and this foundation lasted all day! I've only been using this product for a few days, so I can't really say at this point what this foundation will do for preventing fine lines and wrinkles (I'm only 34 so just starting to notice the change in my skin). But I'm hoping that it will do as promised…. So far so good! I did notice that the fine lines under my eyes look less noticeable immediately after applying.
I also like the dosage-controlled pump dispenser. It keeps the contents clean from contaminants and gives you just the right amount every time. I found that you can adjust the level of coverage, one pump for a natural daytime look, or 2 pumps for heavier coverage (if you need it). Even when I applied more, my face did not feel "smothered".
Overall, I would recommend this product. Definitely one of the better foundations I’ve used.

I set out looking for an under eye concealer that would last throughout the day and not make my "fine lines" more noticeable! I've only been using this product for about a week, and I must say I am pleased. L'oreal promises that it's "clinically proven to significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles". So far so good. My eyes look more refreshed; it covers the dark circles well and the undereye look less puffy. The application is easy, it has a soft tip brush that gently glides over the skin. The formula is creamy and blends easily without tugging at the skin. A great buy at only $9.99!

I tried this foundation mainly because it was on sale. It a little heavier than my regular foundation, but has great coverage for those special occasions or a nite out. It worked great to hide blemishes and undereye circles. Loreal advertises that this foundation can last up to 16 hours. It does last, but not that long (on my skin anyway). The pump dispenser is great, and a little of this foundation goes a long way. I do recommend it, but again for me it is a little heavy for everyday wear.

Another disappointment! I gave this mascara a shot hoping it would give me big beautiful lashes, but I ended up having clumped, flakey lashes! The masacara is fine with one coat - but unfortunately one coat isnt enough (to get the look they promise anyway). When you apply multiple coats, the lashes clump and stick together, leaving you with "spidery eyes". When you apply oh so carefully to avoid the spider-eyed look, I found that througout the day the mascara flaked leaving little black spots under my eyes.
Also suprisingly this mascara had a very strong odor.... very "floral-y". Scents do not bother me but someone who is sensitive I wouldn't recommend that you try this mascara as it lingers for awhile.

This works just as good as some of the salon products I've tried but costs a whole lot less! Love the smell of the product too. I use this in my towel dried hair and style as usual. It tames the frizzies and keeps hair smooth. Its great on dry hair too to to control static. -
