I’m not a big fan of ironing and do whatever I can to avoid it. I buy knits that don’t need ironing and when I do laundry I pull my clothes right out of the dryer once it stops and fold or hang immediately. That being said every once in a while ironing creeps it’s ugly head in to my life. Like when I wash my cotton designer comforter, pillow cases and sheets. Uhg!
The conversation regarding a steamer popped up out of all places at the hair salon. My hairdresser was mentioning that she doesn’t iron but does steam everything. It got my interest for sure and I started my research. I knew if I was going to purchase a steamer then it had to be a good steamer. I didn’t wanted any run of the mill unit because I knew it would eventually end up taking up space somewhere in the house and collecting dust.
When it comes to steamers the name Jiffy was popping up everywhere. The company has been around forever and has a great reputation and nice warranty. Of course you get what you pay for. Their products are not cheap but they definitely have unrivaled quality. My purchase was of the J-2000i model for approximately $279. When deciding on that model I tried to take in to account how often would I actually end up using it over the long haul. I was pretty sure I wouldn’t need a commercial unit. Also I chose the J-2000i because the unit and all the attachments were metal and not plastic.
The steamer heats up and is ready to use in 1 minute. It holds 3/4 gallon of water and that will last about an hour and half. There is a long metal pole that attaches to the unit that has a hook on the top of it for holding a hanger. My first attempt using the steamer I just hung a hanger on this hook and tried my best to steam a pillow case. I realized at this point that I would need a better hanger with some clips to hold my pillow case and also it would make more sense to be steaming next to a wall or flat surface so your clothes would be in a fixed position. Of course Jiffy does sell some extra attachments and accessories that most likely come in handy for this purpose. I just used a piece of spare wood we had and steamed next to a door.
I have to say that I really enjoy using this steamer. Steaming is way more fun than ironing for me. The jiffy did a wonderful job on my white designer cotton pillow cases and when I was done they actually looked amazing. I also steamed my duvet cover with the comforter still in it. As normally the comforter doesn’t get washed all that often due to the fact that I don’t want to ruin it. The steamer is a way to disinfect and refresh your beddings and carpets and things that can’t be washed often or at all. The duvet turned out pretty nice as well but of course being cotton it didn’t last as we do use it for sleeping. I steamed a couple of cotton shirts and I found that it was quite easy and very effective. I don’t believe the steamer can press as well as an iron and might not meet some peoples requirements but I really like the results I get. The Jiffy Steamer gets a very high ranking vote from me.

This fountain pen and the lovely case that comes with it are made of a nice smooth feeling bamboo. I was so excited to write with it then I realized that it didn’t come with any starter ink. It does come with an empty cartridge inside the pen that you can either refill with ink from a bottle or you can replace with ink cartridges. I bought a six pack of International size ink cartridges and they fit perfectly, they were only $3 so it’s a great deal. I just watched a video on the Zenzoi website Click here! on how to install the cartridges and it’s very simple. Just insert and shake downward a bit. Make sure you have some paper towel or scrap paper down in case any ink splatters at the start. It was quite simple and worked perfectly within a second. This pen is a joy to right with. Feels so nice and glides over the paper. Store in the case when done. -

It’s my most favourite way to get scents around the house. One of the benefits of using essential oils is that it’s all natural and not full of chemicals as in some of the aerosol sprays and odour eliminators. We don’t need to breath in more chemicals. The Holan set is very simple to use. The package includes two diffusers, instructions, two measuring cups and two electric cords. Each diffuser has two buttons. One button controls the light. You can choose to cycle through the 7 available colours red. Each diffuser is controlled separately so they can each be a different colours. Works as a great night light too. The second button controls the mist. There are two settings here. With the first setting the mist works on and off for 30 second intervals. With the second setting the mist works continuous. Another benefit of the diffuser is you can add Eucalyptus oil which is very helpful when you have a cold and adds moisture to you air. This Aiho Aroma Diffuser is just lovely. It looks, feels and smells amazing. The diffuser package included the diffuser, cable, measuring cup, and instruction booklet in 5 languages. It’s very simple to use. You just add water and a few drops of essential oil, more if you like. You are able to adjust your timer mode to 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hours or continuous. You can also adjust the colours to 1 colour, whichever colour you like or it will cycle to through all the different colours, I think there are six colours and they are all gorgeous. The steam escapes from the top of the unit in a smoking stream. It is very quiet and not intrusive at all. I really love the way the smell fills the room. -

If we wanted to spend more money we could have gotten a 4K camera drone but really it didn’t matter too much about having the most advanced camera. The 1080 camera does the job just fine. My husband is the one flying it, after all he paid for it, but I have watched him. He is doing a great job and hasn’t had any major crashes. There is no return policy on these at all so if you wreck it you basically throw your money away. The size of the drone is small which makes it easier to maneuver around objects. The propellers fold so if you hit anything you are not going to rip things apart as bad as with a straight propeller. The package comes in a nice foam case and includes 1 battery and extra propellers. The spark does not come with a controller but of course you can order one. Otherwise you are controlling with your phone. It’s harder to control with your phone. For instance, if you are in a very sunny environment and you can’t see the screen very well. Also the controller has better connection for distance as opposed to controlling with just your device. We ordered an extras package that comes with extra battery, controller, and propeller guards.
We took the drone to the beach and so many people love watching this thing fly. It’s amazing especially when you start controlling the spark with just hand controls and take selfies that way too. The photo quality is great and the spark is perfect for taking group photos too. It’s definitely steady in wind and has a 2 axis gimbal, 12 mp camera, 16 min of flight time and crash sensor control, speeds of 50 mph. All in all it’s a lot of power and delivers exciting results! We Love the DJI Spark!

This latest 100% pure natural cleansing sponge made from vegetable fibre and charcoal cleanses as well as exfoliates your skin. These type of Konjac sponges have added clays and charcoal to address several skin conditions such as acne (bamboo charcoal), dry mature sensitive skin (red clay). They are soft and gentle on all skin types, can even be used on babies. Konjac is 100% alkaline so it will help to balance the ph of the skin.
When the sponge is dry it is completely hard and light. You will first soak it in water and it becomes fluffy. Remove the excess water by gently pressing not ringing the sponge then use it on your skin in a circular motion. I recommend putting any cleanser on your skin first instead of directly on the sponge so you will maintain the structure of the sponge and make it last longer. You may also use the sponge without any cleanser at all. The sponge should last about 3 months. Once it starts to degrade it’s time for a replacement.
Once the cleansing process is complete rinse out the Konjac sponge to remove any excess cleansers and then hang it to dry with the handy attached string.
This is my new go to sponge for cleansing. I love the way it makes my skin feel after I have used it. It exfoliates so well and I feel much better using it then using other products that have harsh chemicals and exfoliates that scratch the surface of the skin. Once my skin has been cleansed with the Konjac sponge and I add my moisturizer my skin has a natural glow. Love this product.

They were very easy to apply and came with 28 nails, a file/buffer, cuticle pusher and glue. They have lasted over 9 days and probably will last up to two weeks by the looks of it. I love the way they look. I bought a sparkly ombre natural colour. Less expensive the Shellac at the salon. -
