I love that light coconut scent that banana boat has for their products...this is an oil though so it doesn't absorb well or anything like that. I only use this on a beach when I'm tanning and it cuts down my tanning time by 1/3 of the time and I get as nice a tan or even a nicer tan that I would without it. -

I think after using Biosilk Silk Therapy, I've pretty much tried the vast majority of leave-in hair serums on the market (well, except for It's a 10).
I only intended on trying out Biosilk Silk Therapy because quite some time ago one blogger commented that she loved Biosilk as a leave-in serum. Hmmm well I have to say I am disappointed with the product and that it's just mediocre at best. It doesn't stand out from a crowd of others on the market - it does a good job as a detangler after washing my hair but any other serum will do that. Once my hair air dries with this stuff in it, it doesn't seem to have any lasting shine or manageability. I much prefer CHI Silk Infusion or my favourite, HANA Shine Shield Thermal Protectant (both which I reviewed on Chickadvisor and on my blog).

Even though I have been through a few bottles of the Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil, I'm not sure if it's helped my skin dramatically. I think it has helped a bit. At one point when I was using the product regularly, my bf had casually mentioned to me that the backs of my thighs/butt looked a lot better than it had previously (a month or two prior). The only thing I can think of that I was doing differently was applying the Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil regularly at night. So maybe it works!
I know a lot of people love the Weleda Body Oils but I personally don't think they absorb very well.
I don't think any oil absorbs well into my skin and the same goes for this Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil.
I have tried applying the oil while my legs are still damp from a shower but that doesn't seem to help very much with absorption. So I just apply it in the evening and give myself 10-15 minutes before I get dressed or sit down in hopes that a bit of it absorbs before most of it rubs off somehow.
One thing to note is that like the other Weleda Body Oils, the Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil is in a glass jar so you have to be careful not to drop it. That can get tricky if your bottle is oily so I just wipe my bottle if needed.
So what do I love about the Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil?
I love the scent and that it's made from all natural ingredients. It has a really fresh citrus scent that is slightly herbal. That's probably my main reason for having repurchased it and judging from my bf's previous comment I think it has helped my skin's texture as well.

I really like the Nexxus Round Brush! My bf bought me both the Large and Jumbo sized round brushes and both of them are great for my long hair length. There isn't too much difference in size between the Large and the Jumbo brushes. With that being said the Nexxus Round Brush has great grip on my hair but it doesn't yank the hair or rip it - it glides very well through my hair and for me that's what makes a great round brush. -

I'm sort of mixed on this product on whether I'd recommend it or not.
It's a lightweight spray (non-aerosol) that you spray into your roots and then blow dry to achieve volume. Unlike the Got2b Fat-tastic Collagen Root-Boosting Spray (which I have reviewed) I find that I can't achieve volume from just blow drying the product without using a round brush.
The Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift does make a difference to my hair (I have before and after pictures on my blog if you'd like to see) although not a huge difference.
What I like about it is that it doesn't accumulate in my hair too much - it just leaves a bit of tackiness.
In comparison to the previous voluminizing spray I used, Got2b Fat-tastic Collagen Root-Boosting Spray, the Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift doesn't leave as much residue. That's great because I'm not obligated to wash my hair that same day in order to rinse out the residue from the styling product. However, considering that the Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift is twice the price of the Got2b Fat-tastic Collagen Root-Boosting Spray and it didn't give me more volume, I'm not sure if I'll be repurchasing the Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift right away.

Nothing will replace my basic Sally Hansen La Cross Eyelash Curler.
But with that being said, I missed having a heated eyelash curler. I've only had one heated eyelash curler previously which was the Eyecurl II
What I missed about a heated eyelash curler was that it could reach lashes that my conventional lash curler couldn't reach and it also gave a natural curl. So instead of repurchasing the Eyecurl II online which I loved but it broke down on me very quickly, I decided to look for a heated eyelash curler that I could buy in store. There aren't many heated eyelash curlers I could find in store - in fact, I could only find one heated eyelash curler in store which was this Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler.
When you switch the heated lash curler on a small indicator light turns on, which I like.
But unlike the Eyecurl II there is no indicator to let you know when the wand is hot enough and ready to use. I miss that indicator which the Eyecurl II had. With that being said, the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler heats up within a couple of minutes.
So the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler heats up nicely but it doesn't heat up to nearly as hot as my previous Eyecurl II. I personally didn't find the Eyecurl II uncomfortably hot at all - it was hot enough to work efficiently with it. I find that it takes me quite a bit longer to curl my lashes with the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler, which is a let down. If given the chance I would definitely repurchase the Eyecurl II instead of the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler and just hope that the Eyecurl II doesn't break down within the first 10-15 uses like it did on me the first time!
The main upside of the Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler is that you can easily purchase it in-stores at Sally Beauty Supply whereas I'm not sure where to buy the Eyecurl II - I think I'd have to order the Eyecurl II online which is not as convenient.

This reminds me of a great tasting clear lip gloss! And for that purpose, I love it.
In terms of moisturizing it's not bad (it reminds me of The Body Shop Lip Balms), but it definitely doesn't do as well of a job as my HG Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
One thing I do like is that it tastes so yummy!
The Jack Black Lemon & Chamomile tastes like a lemon tart to me and I always love having good flavoured lip balms around.
A bonus is that it has SPF25 for sun protection, which is one up from my HG Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm that doesn't contain any sunscreen. As an aside I have used the Burt's Bees Sun Protecting SPF 8 Lip Balm but I really don't find that white overcast that it gives my lips very attractive.
One thing I wanted to note is that the Jack Black Lemon & Chamomile reminds me of a nice lip gloss. What I mean by that is that it gives my lips a lip gloss type of shine. I don't mind that at all, but Jack Black products are marketed towards men and the men I know don't sport glossy lips typically.
I would definitely repurchase the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF25 with Lemon & Chamomile because I love a good tasting lip balm and it's great to carry around in my purse since it has SPF. But if my lips need a good moisturizer, I go right back to my HG Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.

Hands down this is the best lip balm for me. Even my boyfriend and my Dad have been convinced after they tried it on my recommendation. I love the minty flavour - it's really fresh and slightly tingly. It moisturizes so well (the best I've tried and I've tried many) and I don't have to reapply it nearly as often as other lip balms. -

Here's one moisturizer I'm not fond of: Bee By The Sea Sea Buckhorn and Honey Body Cream
It retails for $25.95 CDN, which to me at that price, it better perform at least half decently.
My friend Dale picked this body cream up for me at Angel's Gate Winery
There wasn't a tester bottle around (not a good sign) and I really wasn't interested in this body cream....but my friend insisted on getting it for me and beat me to the cash register for it.
Overall rating: Not Good.
The scent is somewhat of honey but it has a slightly unpleasant undertone smell to it.
It's not very thick for a body cream and when it's applied to the skin, it actually spreads like a watery lotion. It wasn't moisturizing enough for me and it doesn't stand a chance in terms of moisturizing power when I compare it to my HG Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
While I appreciate the thought as a gift, there was nothing I liked about this body cream and it's long gone in the garbage.
