The first thing I noticed about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen SPF 50 is the great texture. Unlike typical sunscreens, this one goes on super smooth and absorbs quickly leaving behind none of that usual white streaking that can happen. It didn't leave any tacky feel on my skin. I had no problem using this on my face as well because of the light texture and quick absorption. I have fairly light skin so the SPF 50 is great and so important in keeping my skin healthy and youthful. Price-wise this product is maybe a little bit on the higher side but given the great quality and again, the texture and feel on your skin, I think it's well worth it. It doesn't have a particularly nice scent, although it's not offensive, just that standard sunblock smell (and the lack of fragrance addition is probably a good thing, especially if you have any skin sensitivities.)
I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is concerned with sun protection and needs a product that has a lighter texture than the average.

I've been using the Tresemme Micro Mist Hair Spray level 1 for the past week and am very happy with the results. It definitely provides a nice, gentle level of hold to my waves without being sticky, heavy or obvious. It sprays neatly and uniformly. Basically, this product provides a nice smoothing quality and helps your style stay put but still looks very natural. It made my hair feel really soft which was a great bonus!
My only complaint would be the scent. It's not a bad smell necessarily, but it's nothing special, it kind of has that typical, can't quite figure out what it's supposed to smell like aroma that so many hairsprays have. It does kind of mellow down to a nicer scent after a while but to me anyway the slight chemical type smell remained present.
Overall, as a product rated level 1 I felt it did what it was supposed to do, provide the lightest level of hold retaining a natural, laidback look.

I had the opportunity to try Dove Sensitive Skin Unscented Body Wash and I loved it! The product is super gentle and mild and left no feeling of dryness or tightness on my skin like some products can. It's unscented but does to me have that slight, identifiable Dove odour (which is pleasant). It rinsed away perfectly.
I definitely recommend this product for anyone who prefers a body wash to bar soap but finds many products too harsh or drying for their skin, this body wash is as gentle as they claim!

I was lucky enough to get to try the Shea Butter and Sandalwood Moisture Body Wash. It's definitely a new favourite! I absolutely adore the scent, it's so soft and woodsy, I'd even describe it as cozy, perfect for shower or bath time before bed. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh and bathed in that lovely warm fragrance. My skin was left with no sign of dryness or tightness. I used a little as bubble bath as well and it made my bath time feel very luxurious.
As with the other products, the packaging is also lovely (and 100% recyclable material!). And the ingredients are amazing, there's nothing harsh to harm your skin.

I had the opportunity to try the Shea and Sandalwood Purposeful Hydration Conditioner and was very happy with the results. The product has a wonderful Sandalwood scent and you can detect a little bit of the shea in there as well. The conditioner itself wasn't overly heavy and was easy to distribute through my hair. It leaves a lovely, mellow, relaxing fragrance that is a little different than the strong florals these products often have. It left my hair feeling soft and manageable, I was impressed with my hair after using this and the shampoo.
This product is vegan and ethical which makes it an even better choice. They have been very conscientious about the ingredients used. I will enjoy continuing to use these lovely products!

I love the scent of sandalwood and this shampoo did not disappoint. From the very start the pretty packaging was super appealing. I thought that a sandalwood scented shampoo was quite a unique choice. The shampoo itself is quite thick and develops moderate bubbles. It left my hair feeling soft and clean. I didn't detect a lot of the sandalwood scent after rinsing but that isn't such a big deal; the scent was quite enjoyable during the washing process.
I found it easy to rinse out and I didn't have to use too much of it. I will definitely enjoy using the rest of this product again and again. A big plus? It's vegan and ethical, very important to me in my product selection. The ingredients are definitely better than your average drug store shampoo.

I was selected to try the Breyer's Delights Vanilla Bean flavour. My first impression was that it had a strange after taste; to me it was kind of like a really weak vanilla flavour and the texture was hard, much, much harder than regular ice cream. I suspect the after taste I detected was due to the sweetener used. The texture just seemed like ice cream that had been in the freezer too long, it was really hard to scoop out of the container. This definitely needs a good amount of thaw time before trying to eat, probably at least 15 minutes.
For the price of these, (over $7 locally) I didn't enjoy it enough to buy again. I have been reading good things about the chocolate flavour though and will definitely be trying that one!

I really enjoyed this flavour of the protein snack bar. As with the cashew bar, this one was a little on the sweet side but I found it less intensely sweet than that one. I find the calorie count in comparison to the nutritional value a little high for a snack type product but I would definitely eat these in future as an occasional snack. Overall the texture is great, chunky and substantial with no weird texture like some protein bars seem to have. The almond and dark chocolate combo is delicious. I didn't find the sea salt very prominent.
I would recommend these as an occasional, healthier snack.

I really enjoyed this protein bar. It's definitely more like a dessert/sweet treat than a protein bar (they can often be heavy, chalky and lacking in great flavour). Having said that, this bar is a little on the sweet side so if you don't have a sweet tooth you might find it a little less to your liking. It has nice dark chocolate flavour though, it's the caramel that I think is a bit oversweet. There is a good amount of cashews (which is a nice change from the peanuts or almonds that many bars include). I would certainly take these to work for a mid-morning snack, a great, healthier alternative to a candy bar and a nice change from the usual granola bar or gritty protein bar. For me the calorie count is a little high for a snack food, but it does provide 10g of protein and seems to keep me feeling full for awhile. -

I received the Pure Leaf Matcha Tea Sachets for review. I generally drink green teas and matcha is a favourite; it can be quite a ritual to prepare and consume. These are a simple way to experience the deliciousness of matcha green tea. Compared to some of the matcha powders I've purchased and prepared these are milder (I don't want to say weaker since the flavour is there, but they aren't as full bodied as a more expensive matcha powder is). You definitely want to whisk this as directed to prepare it properly.
I found these particularly convenient for making matcha lattes (hot and chilled). I just foamed a little milk and whisked it into the prepared tea, added a little whipped cream on tip and YUM!
I would buy these again especially to take to work. It makes having a more special drink a snap and it's a LOT cheaper than buying a fancy drink at a coffee shop.
