Gain is an inexpensive detergent and I've bought it a few times over the years, but not currently. It cleans ok but not great and I find the fragrance quite overpowering. Although the scent is strong, it still leaves the body odor smell in the armpit area after a wash :( I wouldn't recommend it other than for towels. -

You won't know in advance if your baby will like swings, so ideally try to borrow one before buying! My baby wasn't a fan of swings but we had this one lent to us for a few months to try to help him sleep/nap in the newborn phase.
I had the plug in version which I would strongly recommend if you buy this. The battery version that other friends used drained batteries like crazy!
It has a basic front to back motion and 6 speeds to choose from. It's easy to put together with a mobile and tray that you can attach. Personally I found the tray really silly. At the age when they're using a swing, the tray just gets in the way. I much preferred it with the seat belt alone and it was easier to put baby in or out without the tray flopping around. The fabric is okay but not very plush or luxe (I'd splurge on a nicer brand if your baby likes swings).
The speeds offer nice variation and the swing gradually increases speed if you pick a higher one.
This has a huge footprint so you'll need to have the space for it in your home.
It didn't work for our little one - at most a 30 min nap in it and he wasn't particularly entertained by it.

This is average mascara. I found that it was a bit thicker than what I like but it did seem to give my lashes more volume. I did get a bit of clumping with this brush. It was easy to apply and I did not have any irritation to my eyes when using it. This is not waterproof so you do have to be careful about smudging and tears. Given the huge selection of mascaras on the market, I don't really think this one stands out in any way.

Powder eyeshadows tend to flake on me but this one is creamy and goes on smoothly with the pencil format. I like that it's easy to apply with the pencil and you don't really need an eyeshadow brush unless you want to do some smudging. The pencil format gives good control and the shadow itself applies nicely. It wears well and did not crease or flake off as the day went on. The colour intensity was good and easy to adjust by layering. No eye irritation with use.
The purple colour that was provided for review is very nice on brown eyes and has a slight shimmer.

I used to always skip primers but I started using them about a year ago and realized they really do make a difference with how my makeup wears, especially in the summer or when it's humid out. I have combination skin that gets shiny in the T-zone.
I was excited to try this one out but I think it's quite average and I would not buy this again. This is a powder type primer that can also be used as a finishing powder. You need to apply this with a light hand. I found it did seem to keep the shine at bay, but I prefer the liquid format type of primers for smoothness. I also like my products to do double duty and there are others on the market that include SPF/sunscreen so it saves a step and offers extra protection. The GOSH one does not have that benefit.
Given the selection of other primers on the market, I don't think this one has any major advantages so I would not personally purchase this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product! It looks like a nail polish so the brush is quite short and takes some getting used to when applying it to the lips. I like the sponge applicator tip and the colour I received is a bright shocking pink that is true to the bottle colour.
The staying power is quite good, leaving a light stain on the lips as the day goes on. It applies smoothly and is nicely pigmented. It did not dry out my lips. It seems to combine the sheen of a lip gloss but with a thinner consistency, and has the intense colour of a lipstick.
Overall, I was pleased with the lip lacquer!

Britax is consistently one of the top rated car seat brands. I bought the Marathon for my little one because of the good reviews and it was reasonably priced for the features it offers. (Retails for $300).
Easy to install, plush materials and easy to adjust the seat belts as your little one grows. Rated for 5 lbs and up, so I started using this from birth onwards in one of our cars as opposed to using an infant seat. There is an infant positioner that comes with the seat that you use until your little one hits 3 months. My only small complaint is the tethering that the manufacturer recommends you use even when rear-facing. Not all cars have floor tethers, so it can be difficult to maneuver your little one around the tethers in that position. It's not an issue when the seat is installed in the front facing position.
This is quite a wide seat so you should make sure it works for your car. It's best for those with one child IMHO. If you have multiple kids that require car seats, I would probably go with a narrower seat.

This is a great inexpensive body wash! I find St. Ives is a great balance of cost and quality. This body wash fits that description well. I love the light apricot scent and it rinses easily off the skin. There is some graininess to the body wash so some people may not like that. It does not do a particularly good job if you need deep exfoliation (like rough patches on your elbows), but it's fine for general skin maintenance. -

I'm a huge fan of this topcoat sold at Sephora. I used to use Seche Vite but I found that it got blobby quite quickly and even though I tried their product thinner, it never worked the same. I bought this randomly as I was looking for another quick-dry replacement.
I've been SO happy with this. I've been using the same bottle for almost 1.5 years and it's still the original consistency (not blobby at all) and does exactly what it says it will - fast dry, high gloss finish.
The Orly Bonder base coat, plus 2 coats of my choice of polish, and the Nails Inc Caviar topcoat is the perfect trio for my nails!

It's hard to find, but it's worth the effort. The application is quick and gives a very thin and smooth matte base. It's lovely for getting your polish to adhere to your nails and it's smooth and definitely reduces chipping. Stain prevention is average, but the chip reduction/enhancing polish wear is way above average. I can often get my pedicure to last for 3 weeks, and it's more the issue of new nail growth that leads to the polish change as opposed to chips!
Love this!
