OPI is a great polish brand - cute names, great color selection, and always on trend but with some classics!
The polishes are typically good quality with a chip rate similar to other comparable polishes (e.g. Essie, Sephora, Chanel). Niec brush applicator and colors tend to go on evenly. I like to pick up some of the trendy colors collections such as the Muppets series and to keep a few classics around like Lincoln Park After Dark.
The mini polish sets are a great way to get a few of the current season's colors without getting stuck with a bunch of colors that you will no longer wear once the next color of the moment appears. Highly recommended.

I am always on the lookout for good foundation products and I was THRILLED when NARS finally released their version of a tinted moisturizer this year!
It had been getting a lot of buzz in the magazines and I'm a huge NARS fan, so I headed off to Sephora to check out the new product! The color selection is good but not great for fair skinned people. I have light to medium Asian skin and am a NC35 and matched to St. Moritz (medium 1) which is just a smidge darker than I am, but definitely wearable.
No oxidation, light coverage and feels quite natural. It's not marketed as BB cream but it's definitely one of those multitasking products - it has titanium dioxide for SPF 30 protection, is oil free, and supposedly moisturizes and reduces hyperpigmentation as well. My skin is combination and tends to break out. Since my skin has been better lately, I've been using a lighter foundation (Armani's face fabric) with good results, but I wanted to try something else (and save a couple of bucks too!)
I've been happy with this overall but it has a slight tendency to sink into my pores... it doesn't "float" over quite as well as Armani's face fabric. However, it provides a nice natural coverage with built in sunscreen and I haven't had any issues with breakouts on this. I don't know if it really reduces hyperpigmentation... I guess I'll have to keep track of that over time.
I definitely prefer this to Laura Mercier's and am happy to add it to my foundation rotation, but it's not quite as "finished" as I would like. Best for skin that's already quite good but just needs some evening out.
Slight lemony smell, but not noticeable after you've applied it.
Retails for $49Cdn.

It's amazing - creamy chocolate and hazelnuts creamed together for a delicious spread on bread? Mmmm. One of my favorite treats on my toast, or even just straight out of the jar! Totally worth the calories :)

I have such mixed feelings on Hershey kisses... I love the packaging and the cuteness of them for holidays, but I absolutely despise the chocolate inside!
The original silver kiss is the worst, where the chocolate is incredibly rough and cheap. It leaves a terrible sugar aftertaste without any richness. The dark option isn't great either. There are some of the striped holiday ones that are a little creamier and passable if you're in a bind and can't find anything else. For me, I'd rather eat good quality chocolate if I'm taking in the fat and calories, so the Hershey kisses are a pass for me.

I love the combination of the firm chocolate shell and the softer, creamier filling inside. I love how they've increased the variety of flavors over the years, and I find the combination boxes are great for the holidays since there's something to please everyone - the foil colors make it easy to know what you're going to get... red for milk, dark blue for dark chocolate, gold for white, dark green for mint, brown for hazelnut, etc... the list of flavors just goes on!

I was able to try this as part of the Product Review Club and thought it was a decent shampoo. I didn't really like the smell (I can't quite identify it, but it's not one of those kinds where you just want to keep using it) and it doesn't suds up as much as I would like, but I find that it does clean well. I had minimal issues with product residue (I did wash with an alternate shampoo once a week during this trial though).
It cleaned without stripping my hair, and particularly when paired with the masque, my hair had a nice texture with no flyaways over the last couple of weeks (middle of winter) but it wasn't weighed down.
It does what it's supposed to do... a bit steeper than what I normally would pay for shampoo, but I was happy with the end result. (I have an oily scalp and dry/normal hair).

I was thrilled to get this as part of the review club since my hair gets really staticky and dry in the winter. This is a good product - not mind-blowing, but it does what it's supposed to do at a price comparable to other salon brands. There is minimal scent for me and I found that it was easy to apply on the hair, and after rinsing, it left a slight residue that keeps the flyaways at bay. No change in hair shine. It doesn't seem to wear down my hair, and I've been using it every other day. I would often use Fekkai's glossing cream at this time of year, but I haven't had to since using this product.
My main dislike is the packaging - I don't like the tub container. It's hard to open and keep dry in the shower, so I would suggest switching it to a squeeze bottle package to preserve product integrity.

I was a blackberry curve girl for years. Briefly switched to the iPhone, then went back to blackberry, but I'm now back with the iPhone again after blackberry wasn't able to keep up with the fun features on the iPhone in the years my contract was going on.
One big plus about this is the sturdy construction. The curves are built to last and the only issue I ever had with the older models are the need to clean the trackball every once in awhile. The newer curve models that got rid of the trackball worked even better. The buttons make it easy to text and reply to emails so the blackberry is still great for business users. But the limited selection of fun apps and the lack of convenient navigation from websites to contacts to messages made me go back to Apple again.
Hope blackberry is able to get things together again since I would be willing to retry them again after years of being a loyal curve user.

I started using an iPhone back with the 3GS, and interestingly back then, the lack of buttons drove me nuts and I went back to blackberry for a few years. When the iPhone 4 came out, I was in love and decided to switch back. I love the fun apps, style and ease of use of the iPhone. Great features like visual voice mail are great add ons to your phone plan, and the built in GPS and camera are super convenient when you're on the go and lost, need to upload pics, etc...
The only downside to it is the lack of compatibility with Adobe flash websites, which totally drives me nuts. Autocorrect also has a tendency to correct to embarrassing or totally non-sensual words. But that being said, I'm an iPhone convert.

Excellent brand of floss! It's a bit pricier compared to some of the other ones on the market, but I am really happy with the quality. It does what it's supposed to do, slides easily between the teeth even if you have tight areas, and it doesn't shred as much as some of the other brands. -
