A couple of weeks ago I was asked to review Sensodyne® iso-active® toothpaste from SheSpeaks.com for a total of 14 days. First let me begin by saying that my teeth are not ultra-sensitive. However, it seems the older I get, the more sensitive they become. Quite frankly, I’m concerned that in the next ten years I’ll be making every attempt to stay clear away from cold products so I’m trying to enjoy my ice cream while I can.
When asked to do this review, I obviously jumped at the chance to so I could see if this would help my teeth become less sensitive. Upon my first try I was a little leary as it looks a tad bit different than regular toothpaste, but in a few seconds I went full throttle, and began my Sensodyne® iso-active® journey.
The picture gives you an idea of what the dispenser looks like. You simply pop the cap off, turn the can in a 90 degree angle, squeeze the small button, and the toothpaste comes out. At first I was using a bit more than I should have, but I did learn over the course of the following days that I only needed a little dab to get the job done. It was a different taste. Not minty whatsoever which, for me, wasn’t necessarily a good thing, but it didn’t deter me from continuing. I suppose the best way I know how to explain it is a mild baking soda taste; definitely not overwhelming by any means.
I make a habit of singing the “ABC song”, twice, before I stop brushing - I know, I’m silly, but it works The teeth felt very clean afterwards and there was no filmy residue. In fact, my teeth felt really clean all day long which was an unexpected bonus!
My only real complaint, about this particular product, is that a tiny amount of toothpaste oozed from the dispenser so the next time I went to use it, I had to wipe it off…or use it to brush my teeth with; that wasn’t happening. To be completely honest, it’s not a big deal. Not enough to stop me from recommending it.
If they could fix that and give the toothpaste a slight minty taste to it this stuff would be a dream. Fact of the matter is, it did precisely what it claimed to do, which is truly wonderful. Not a lot of products, these days, hold up to thier products claims; Sensodyne® iso-active® certainly did! My teeth are absolutely less sensitive than they were before and I appreciate that. I do intend on using this product for a longer period of time. Besides, if it allows me more time with my beloved scoop of ice cream now and then… who am I to complain?

This thing is amazing; to put it honestly. I’ve never wanted to invest in one of those expensive thermometers as they are exactly that… expensive. Now ReliOn has come up with an excellent alternative and at a very inexpensive cost. Anyone can use this - it’s not just for newborns or children. Yes, I’ve tested it on myself. Honestly, who could resist?
I truly like the fact that there are no germs exchanged. You simply turn it on, wait for it to beep twice, place the end with the sensor on it on your temple and viola; 6 seconds later you have an accurate result!
I can imagine this will prevent the feeling of guilt that I have had in the past when waking up my daughter to check her temperature… I no longer have to do that now. Sincerely, that is a huge relief to any mommy.
