Kenzo's Amour is pretty pricey as far as fragrance goes, but I love it! It smells like cotton candy, but in a grown-up way. Slightly floral and slightly musky, this perfume has it all. I have worn this fragrance for the past three years and get compliments every time I wear it. I love that it makes me feel pretty every time I wear it. And it lasts. I fell in love with Dolce and Gabbana's Blue when I was in Rome many years ago, but it only lasted until I walked out the door. Kenzo's Amour only needs a spritz or two and lasts the rest of the day without overpowering your (or other's) senses. -

I was very excited to be chosen to review Breyers' new Smooth & Dreamy ice cream, as I will fully admit that the members of my household are addicted to ice cream. I chose the Dulce de Leche flavor and everyone in my house was pleased. This ice cream is as creamy as any other full-fat brand I have tried before. I like that they included thick ribbons of caramel into the ice cream as well. I, however, like a previous reviewer felt that something was a bit off in the flavor. To me the ice cream tasted a bit like butter, and that wasn't what I was going for in my ice cream. The other members of my house didn't seem to notice this, and were content to go in for seconds. The price of the ice cream is a major contention point for me. I would not pay almost $9 for ice cream, I don't care how good it is. I would definitely be willing to try another flavor of this brand should they go on sale (their website shows a much larger variety than appeared in my local grocery store). -

I was very excited to receive the Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Serum in the mail. I am a very big fan of the Body Shop's body products, but had never tried any of their facial products until now. Having sensitive skin, I appreciated the naturalness of the product. I loved the way it smelled! Each pump gives a generous amount of product (I accidentally pumped three times out of habit from my usual serum). While this product went on a bit sticky for my liking, once I applied my moisturizer on top (I live in a very dry climate) I found my skin very soft and supple. I think that two weeks is a short amount of time to see any longer term and significant changes in my skin, but I definitely notices an improvement in the feel of my skin. Even my husband noticed! On that note alone I would recommend this product. -

I was very skeptical when this arrived in the mail. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know what to expect, but I was surprised to find that the brush is soft and malleable. I did have some difficulty the first few time I used the product. I found it difficult to squeeze the face wash onto the bristles. But once the cleansing bottle was in the locked position it worked like a dream. I didn't think that such a soft brush could cleanse so deeply, but it does. I am very please to have such clean skin without any rough or harsh exfoliates. I do appreciate the light scent, as my skin can be sensitive. What I don't like is having to put the lid back on the wet brush. I'm not a big fan of water collecting in the lid like that, but there isn't anything stopping me from drying the brush before I close the cleanser. Overall, I was very surprised by this product. I'm not totally convinced that I would buy it again, but it is definitely worth a try if you are looking for a deep clean without harsh scrubbing. -

I was very exciting when the tube of Biotherm Celluli Laser D.Code arrived in the mail, but was completely disappointed on first use. First of all, they claim that the product has no residue once applied, but I found the back of my legs and rear sticky after repeatedly rubbing the product in thoroughly. I wasn't too pleased about repeating this process twice a day for four weeks, but I did. The smell of the lotion is pleasant enough, but I could not get over the texture. After four weeks of using this product, which is the recommended time for seeing results, I saw very little improvement. I am a very active person and my cellulite is very much genetically related and unfortunately this product, despite its claims to fight genetics, did little to improve my cellulite. I say fugheddaboutit! -

I cannot say enough good things about this lotion. I live in an extremely dry climate (ie. every time you wash your hands, if you don't put lotion on your hands are chapped withing five minutes). Using this lotion makes my skin soft and smooth. It is non-greasy and the fragrance is minimal. I would recommend this lotion to anyone who suffers from dry skin or lives in a very dry climate. -

I was very excited to receive this product in the mail. I have to admit I am getting older. Lines around my mouth are minimal, but my lips lack a certain Jolie-esque quality, shall we say. I liked that both products, the filler and the plumper, were in the same tube (on different ends, of course). Two weeks is a small amount of time for line reduction, and as I mentioned I don't have many (yet), so I didn't see much improvement in that area. What I did like is that the cream is not too heavy or overly fragrant for my sensitive skin. I did like the plumper. I found that my lips may not be super plump, but they were a bit fuller. I would recommend this product for that aspect, and will have to wait and see about the line reduction. -

I received the two scents (wild rose and nature fresh) as part of the Chick Advisor review. I have always been a fan of Dove anti-perspirant, and these did not disappoint. I am usually not a fan of scented anti-perspirant, but both scents I found to be light and unoffensive, even the wild rose (as I am not a big fan of floral scents). The anti-perspirant kept me dry and did not stain my clothing (which is always a good thing). I found my hair to be softer after two weeks of use, but did not notice it to be finer or less. We shall see with time if the appearance of hair diminishes significantly. I highly recommend this product as an anti-perspirant, but not so much for any hair reduction. -

Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight before has come across the importance of keeping a food diary. We all know that weight loss comes down to calories in vs. calories out. Well that process has now become easier and more convenient, at least for those who own an iTouch or iPhone.
Lose It! is a free application that enables you to easily track your energy consumption (calories in) and expenditure (calories out) wherever you go. This requires you to know your base level of calories required (what you body needs to function). Lose It! allows you to create a custom profile, with daily calorie requirements calculated on your weight, height, gender and age. Your requirements can be adjusted depending on your weight loss goals, with options for maintaining your weight or losing between a half and two pounds per week.
You can enter food and portion size easily through a searchable database, including hundreds of brand-name products and restaurants (many of them are US specific). Lose It! also has nutrient information linked to each food which gives you the option to track daily fat, protein, cholesterol, carbohydrates and fiber intake. I find this part useful in the weekly overview section to see if I am eating more fat than protein and things like that. I also really like the custom food application that allows me to add foods from the grocery store that are not available in the database. Lose It! also has a feature that allows you to add recipes. I love this feature! It allows me to accurately count the calories that I consume from a home cooked meal.
The great thing about Lose It! is that you can add exercise information from an extensive list of activities including running, walking, yoga, and even things like housework. You can also add custom exercises by adding information from the machine or a heart rate monitor. The calories burned during exercise are automatically subtracted from your daily total.
Lose It! also graphs your weight loss progress over time and monitors your daily and weekly calorie intake. This makes it easy to see how many calories are left during the day, but also how many you may be under or over for that week.
I really like this application. It has allowed me to lose about a pound a week over the past month and gives me the confidence that I can keep going. No longer do I have to have a pen and paper on me at all time, or try to remember at the end of the day what I've eaten. Because I have my iTouch with me almost all of the time, I find it very easy and quick to add foods and exercise to my log. They have also recently updated the application to link up with a website that allows you to sync you iTouch/iPhone logs with their website to keep track online. You can also add friends and share information with them.
Overall, I think that this is an easy and effective way to keep a food diary to help anyone who is trying to lose some weight, or just to keep on track.

I received this product as part of the product review and I have to admit that I was quite impressed. I have been a devotee of another mascara (L'Oreal Voluminous) for years, but this mascara has made me think twice. I found that the product definitely lengthened my lashes as promised. The long, narrow brush helps me to get all of my lashes, even the tiny ones at the corner of my eyes. I found that my lashes were definitely longer, but the look was not a very dramatic one. So I've become hooked on this mascara for my daytime makeup routine and my Voluminous is now saved for evening and special occasions. My only complaint about the product is the packaging. For some reason, the mascara comes with an extra top (the brush comes in the package, but not attached to the tube of mascara). I find this extra piece of plastic wasteful, especially when I am trying to reduce my use of plastic as much as I can. Other than this packaging waste, I was very pleased with the results of this product and am excited to recommend it to others. -
