Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

This has a cult following for a REASON. I’ve used this for years and even when I try something new, I still find my way back home to it. This is the only setting spray I truly trust for ultra hold in the sweltering heat (I do appreciate and love summer weddings but man, I get sweaty watching nuptials out in the sun!) and I feel like I’m less likely to need a touch up when I use this spray. If you’re looking for a dewy or matte finish, this may not be your best option but I feel like this gives a neutral finish which is so versatile. Glowy base? This isn’t messing around with it. Matte to the nines? No problem, we’re just setting and forgetting. Even if I venture out to try something new (in the name of testing!), I will always find my way back home to this setting spray.

I am soooo picky with blushes. I do gravitate toward cream or liquid blushes despite them having a learning curve so I wasn’t sure how this one would fare for me. I’m happy to report that this blush is gorgeousssss. I received colour 50.5, Rosy Peach, and while it isn’t the shade I’d choose for myself (I’d prefer 31, Vivid Coral), the undertones were there and it looked beautiful, plus it was my entrance into a more “pinky” blush that everyone loves and I’m nervous to try out. This was sheer enough that I can build it up to my desired look but it didnt’ look patchy, plus it didn’t dry down in seconds which was great for placement and blending purposes. Overall, I was super impressed with this and the packaging is superb, I love the doe foot applicator! It is pricy but because it lasts for EVER (literally, I can do my makeup with just a few dots so this won’t be used up any time soon) and it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all once it dries into a gorgeous glow, I would definitely use this daily. Saving my pennies to grab Vivid Coral

I don’t often wear foundation, generally reaching for skin tints but I was really excited to try this waterproof foundation out. It boasts 24 hour wear and I don’t really know why I’d need that but I will say it held on strong for 8-10 hours despite having a decently oily t-zone. I love that this includes niacinamide because functional makeup is always a plus in my books and the dropper is perfect for a mess-free application! I picked out shade 13, light medium cool olive and I think it was a perfect match, though I wish I could test a couple others to compare.
I love that this is a “self-setting” foundation and it truly did feel like I didn’t need a setting spray (one less thing to use or pack!) This feels so lightweight – the reason I avoid foundation often is they tend to feel heavy (which is why I opt for a skin tint when I need to even out my skin) but this isn’t heavy at all and offers a medium coverage. I experienced best results smoothing it over my skin with my fingers and then following up with a blending sponge to smooth everything out. Love the way this looks but I especially love the way it feels!

Oat Repairing Lotion✨
I’ve tried a few lotions from Aveeno before and this is right along with how I feel about them – excellent, simple and nourishing. I absolutely love that this is in a pump bottle and the size is huge! I use this on my eczema-prone child after a bath and it helps soothe her skin. No scent here whatsoever which is fantastic. I do feel like this may not be protection enough for super dry skin in a harsh Canadian winter but it’s really lovely for the summer months!

Body Wash✨
I was not expecting this to suds up the way it did but I’m so glad! I used this while experiencing a pretty gnarly stress rash and it helped calm my skin super well. It’s fragrance-free which I’m grateful for and I am so happy it’s in a pump bottle because I like giving my kids the autonomy to use this in the shower – this is a fantastic way by just explaining to them they can only use one pump of soap. I love that this works for the whole family, even my youngest with major skin sensitivities. Definitely a win in my books!

The formula on these lipsticks are SO creamy, I was thinking they were chapsticks because of it and was impressed by the colour payoff but these are indeed lipsticks and so incredibly glossy!
Sometimes lipsticks like this will feel glossy but dry up quickly but the texture didn't change for me at all, keeping my lips super hydrated.
The two shades I received were:
🔹150 - a warm pink nude
🔹44 - an iconic pink nude
I felt that 150 was better suited to my skin tone and I love that it has little sparkles throughout. 44 was a pretty bubblegum but doesn't work as well for my skin tone.

Say goodbye to redness and irritation with this steroid-free cream! This is much more like conventional eczema creams in terms of texture – this is thicker and leaves a bit of a protective film. Absolutely no scent detected with this and it’s full of ceramides and different parts of avena sativa, as well as well loved glycerin and panthenol. As a result, this leaves my skin so nourished for an entire night. My daughter’s dry eczema patches have been loving this one, improving her skin symptoms. This doesn’t leave her itchy the way some other products do – absolute repurchase for us!

This is right up my alley, as someone whose skin leans toward oily and eczema products tend to be geared toward super dry skin, it’s hard for me to find products that work well for my skin type. This texture is so soothing while still being super light. I wouldn’t call this “scent-free”, the ingredients do offer a scent but there are no added fragrance which is in line for eczema-prone, sensitive skin. This is steroid-free and avena sativa (kernel oil and extract) is included in this formula to help with skin barrier issues while offering moisturization. This didn’t soak in super quickly which led to more softness, which I loved! I didn’t feel like I needed to reapply. I’m going to hold onto this for the summer for my daughter – it may be hotter but she still needs constant moisturization and this will definitely fit the bill.

I’m so happy to see a night time moisturizer like this in the PanOxyl lineup! This is full of healthy barrier promoting ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide and feels so soft when you apply it. I love that it’s not super heavy which is excellent for oily/combo skin and for me personally, it felt like it took a decent amount of time to soak in, leaving me feeling moisturized longer. I especially love that while this is formulated to be in an anti-acne lineup, there’s no “active” ingredients – this is purely a synergistic moisturizer for PM routines that will keep your skin happy, healthy and hydrated. I think this is my favourite PanOxyl product I’ve tried so far!

Let me start by expressing my sheer excitement to see an SPF (albeit, SPF moisturizer) added to a regimen! This is a mineral sunscreen base and while I’m usually hesitant on zinc SPFs, this one is a good option for someone who isn’t looking for a dewy finish and wants non-chemical filters. It does give me the slightest white cast and the formula feels a bit gritty, so it does pill a bit for me. I’d likely pass on this next time around but I love that it’s available! This also gives one of the best matte finishes as far as a sunscreen goes. I’d be very curious to see how this does on a hot summer day!
