I decided to try No Frills for my groceries this week because i’ve heard good things and I had just received my free $25 gift card from Sobeys pertaining to the bread price fixing scandal and the card could be used at No Frills. My first impressions were the store layout was good with lots of room to move around. Products were easily found and everything was readily available. Product placement was organized and placed in its proper aisle making shopping much easier. When I couldnt find the washroom I inquired with an employee stocking shelves. He was very courteous and helpful. The washroom was large, fully stocked and very clean. The store itself was very clean aswell. The prices were very competative or lower than other stores. There was plenty of registers with more than enough open leaving myself and other shoppers with little or no line-ups. It was nice that they not only accepted my sobeys gift card but I was able to accumulate more points on my pc points card. The cashier was very friendly. There is only a couple small downsides. Not just this store but many is you have to guess how many bags you will require, you also have to pack them. I assume this is one of the ways they are able to keep prices as low as they do. The other small thing was that there was only 1 washroom and instead of being placed at the back of the store like the majority do it was located at the very front, past the cash registers meaning you either need to park your cart somewhere and hope an employee doesn’t grab it thinking its abandonded, hold it or go before you start shopping. Something as small as those issues wouldn’t stop me from returning. -
