I have 2 dogs...a chocolate lab and a husky. Both shed a LOT. When we moved into a smaller place, the fur all over became a real problem, especially from the husky.. I think in Latin husky means shed-a-lot. Also, as the dogs don't have freedom to come in and go, they are spending less time shedding outside. So I decided to do some research and came across the Furminator. First thing I will say is that it is Expensive...about $65. I bought it at Petsmart, who assured me I could return it if I was not happy. But happy I was. I simply could not believe the amount of fur it removes, even out of my lab, who was not currently in shedding mode. We started brushing the husky...he was a little sketchy about it at first, but calmed down. The brush holds onto (most of the) hair until you release it. We brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and it kept coming. It removes the undercoat of the dog, unlike most combs or brushes, which only get onto the top. We literally had a pile of fur sitting beside the dogs...one brown and one white :). Just a warning...do not do this in the house...fur flies everywhere, definitely an outside grooming tool. Unfortunately, our husky got to it and chewed the handle...he loves rubber, so we now have a $65 grooming tool with a duct tape, but it's every bit as effective. I would highly recommend it! -

Popcorn is a go to snack for me, and I have always found Orville Redembachers superior to anything else out there. But when I saw Costco sold a huge box, I decided to try it. I have rarely been disappointed with Kirklands quality, and Costco has such an amazing return policy, that I figured if I don't like it, I'll return for a refund. I didn't have to return it, as I am very happy with it. It usually pops almost all of the popcorn, and is still tender. I find I like to add a little salt.. Not the healthy choice, but I do it. Something about the brown bags really tickles me, too. Both of my popcorn snob boys also love it. A fraction of the cost of Redenbachers and we enjoy it every bit as much! -

I bought this for my teenage son, who is experiencing some occasional breaking out. He normally exfoliates in the shower in the morning, but just uses water at night. When I saw this liquidated at SDM I picked some up for him. Whether it was the product, the moment in time, or the fact that he thought it was a ladies product, he decided it did not work. Hating to waste I decided to use it, and found it was a good cleanser, but nothing spectacular. I think we were just not the right family for this green tea cleanser, as it is the first and only St Ives product that has not been super impressive. I am passing it along to my teen nieces, and will update this review if they give me feedback. -

I won a pack of these which I never received, but curiosity got the best of me, so I bought some. I love lov love cherry tic tacs, but they are only ever available as part of a mixed pack...cherry and strawberry (I don't like the strawberry) or the red white and blue Popsicle packs limited edition. These candies start off as cherry, and change to cola flavour. The cherry doesn't last as long as the cola flavour, but fortunately I enjoy the cola too. I have always liked tic tax packaging, because they stay clean in the bottom of my purse, where other rolls, etc, end up collecting purse dust. Still not my dream of cherry only, but getting closer... -

So you start by conditioning your hair. This seems somehow counter-intuitive, but I'll try anything once. The conditioner is quite thick, but spreads evenly to cover your full head. It has a nice light scent. You use it as you
Would any conditioner, apply, let it sit, then rinse. Rinsed easily without too much concern on my end of leaving any in, as I knew I was following with a shampoo.
The shampoo had the same nice scent, and worked easily into a nice thick lather. I got the impression it was doing a great cleaning job. The shampoo also rinsed easily.
I did nothing different than I ordinarily would. Combed my hair, with a wide bristle comb, and went about my day. I had all but forgotten about it, when my son said, wow, what did you do with your hair? I looked in the mirror, and sure enough, my hair had a lot more volume, and less flyaway so. It felt thicker, and looked great. The volume was still there the next morning, and my ponytail was a lot healthier looking than usual. All told, the volume lasted three days, when I once again washed my hair.
I will definitely be buying this when my existing products run out. I don't know the price point yet,
Just a note, I am posting this same review for the conditioner and shampoo, because I think they are meant to be used together. You will see the reviews broken down within the review , but I am not sure you would have the same effect if you were to mix products.

I usually buy dry pasta, but decided to try fresh. Yesterday we had Olivieri Angel hair pasta, with Olivieri basil and cheese pesto sauce. It was a hit for all of us. The pasta was very rich tasting, much more so than dried pasta. It states that it takes 30 seconds to cook...took closer to three minutes, perhaps I was not boiling the water hard enough. You get 6 nests...2 were enough for me, but the boys could have eaten a little more. Next time I will try using some leftover chicken cubes on top, as I think it will match well with the pesto. Still an inexpensive enough meal for three adults, and a super quick and easy meal. -

I believe this is the same Creamy Chicken Thai as Tim Horton's sells on a limited edition basis. It is so good and filling..it has a nice creamy texture, a lot of rice and chicken, and a fantastic lemon grass or cilantro taste. I usually do not like canned soups, so was happy to find some that I can keep in the pantry for this lazy non cook days. A can is more than enough for me for a full dinner, very hearty. Often on sale at SDM for around $2 a can. -

I tried this when I received it in a swag bag from SDM at their Look good feel better promotion. I have tried it a couple of times, it seems to go on quite clumpy on my eyelashes. I do not have a lot of eyelashes so finding the right mascara can be tricky. I also found it difficult to remove, probably due to the clumping. -

So, Day 5 of antibiotics, and my nausea was very strong. I had to work, so a regular Gravol was not an option due to the drowsiness it always brings. I went to the pharmacy and found these natural Gravol tablets with ginger. I figured I would try them, couldn't make it any worse. I was very pleased with the effects...while it did not eliminate the nausea 100% , it certainly reduced it enough that I could work, and was not thinking very much about my upset stomach. Did not appear to have any side effects. I normally use the 12 hour Gravol, but it really knocks me out, which is fine when I am sick, and able to sleep. Definitely going to be a staple in my medicine chest from now on. -
