Make sure you choose a colour you want, as it will not dilute, and apply carefully. Once you get the colour and technique down, this is a shadow with excellent staying power. Needs eye make up remover to remove. -

A little more pricy than average, this is still a great eye shadow choice. I love the way that it easily blends, doesn't crease and lasts all day long. I would add that you need eye make up remover to get it off, and suggest against a white face... +

I picked a jar of these square peanut butter filled pretzels up by accident, and I love them. They are a great, healthier snack alternative for the whole family. They are salted just right...not too much, just enough, and there is a dollop of peanut butter in the middle. Wouldn`t be a great choice for school snack, but if you have an allergy free home, these would make a nice on hand snack. I love that they come in a plastic jar, and so they stay fresh, and don`t end up crushed. -

I was so excited that Ottawa got our very own H & M .... my Montreal trips used to include a quick visit, but now I have my very own to love. Situated in Bayshore (which I do not like for it's difficulty in getting from floor to floor), it is huge, and has a very large ladies boutique, and a men's off to one side, and children's off to the other. The prices are amazing. I asked for gift cards for Christmas, so I was lucky to have also benefitted from unbelievable boxing week sales, but even the regular prices are very fair for most merchandise. I have always found the quality very good, especially considering that I buy a lot of trendier items which are not investment pieces. The essentials are a great price, too, and you can buy long or short sleeve tee-shirts for around $10. Nice thing is that there is something for every age group...I am 49 and love it as much as my 14 year old niece. -

The blog post about brushes inspired me to rave about this find....I bought this detangling brush at Sally Beauty Supply, and it is the best brush ever. Goes through tangled hair, wet or dry, with very few pulls, ouches, or broken hairs. I use it immediately after shampooing, which used to be an ordeal, but is now SO easy. I brush, then add some aragan oil to the ends, and brush again. My hair has become thicker because of so much less breakage. Inexpensive at around $10, I bought a second to make sure I always have one handy. -

Now, the question is, is it still available...often when things are at the dollar Store ($3) they are being discontinued, and I have found several awesome Garnier products there that I couldn't find again. Or, perhaps they are changing packaging...sure hope so because it is a great drug store moisturizer! -

I was very lucky to have purchased a whole bunch of dermaglow products when my SDM was discontinuing the line. I love each and every one. This cream is quite rich, and takes a few minutes to absorb, but definitely worth the time. I use it after my bath, while my face is still warm, so that helps it absorb quicker. I haven't tried it in summer, but suspect that it may be a little too rich for the hotter Canadian months. -
Dermatologica - Active Moist
Definitely not an inexpensive product, but so efficient. It absorbs very easily, doesn't leave a greasy feel on your face, and even throughout this brutally cold winter, my skin has been nicely moisturized.
