After seeing similar products advertised on TV, i set out to find a peel off charcoal mask that I could buy locally. I decided to give Life Brand a try, and am so happy with the outcome. It is a little messy to apply, but the results are worth the clean up. My skin feels softer, and looks much cleaner and clearer after using it twice a week for 2 weeks. Especially on the forehead, nose and chin, where my pores tend to get blocked, it is clean and smooth. Totally effective for me, and at around $6 , very affordable, too. -

We really enjoyed the nutty flavours, and that the bars were moist, without having that over wet texture, but we're still substantial enough to not end up in crumbs once added to a lunch bag.
With the perfect amount of natural sweetness, these bars make a great mid morning snack and are filling enough to get you through to lunch, even when lunch gets delayed.

I usually make my own muffins, because I find the affordable ready made ones just do t taste that great, and the ones I like are rather expensive.
I was delighted to get an opportunity to try Good and Simple Fruit and Fibre muffins free in exchange for my reviews from Chick Advisor, I chose the banana bran variety because the maple syrup I was selected for we're not available.
The first thing I really liked is that the Muffins are individually wrapped, making it very easy to add to a lunch bag. The s cond was the taste..they tasted fresh and were nice and moist without being too much so. A nice strong banana flavour, and the texture was just right.
I have already bought more of these, in other flavours which I will be reviewing separately.

This moisturizing gel leaves your face and neck feeling nice and cool. It absorbs quickly, and has a nice fresh scent.
The effects do not last all day, but it's a great freshener for in between if your skin is needing hydration. I do not wear make up to work, so can apply moisturizer freely, but I can see how this would ruin a made up face.
It did leave my skin a little sticky, but worth it to me for the cooling effect it gave my skin.

While I try to make most food from scratch, our schedules do not always allow the luxury. I had discovered Knorr scalloped potatoes and we all loved them. Of course, they soon disappeared from the shelves.
So, while grocery shopping this weekend, I spotted Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes and picked up a couple of boxes. We tried them last night, and loved them.
They are so easy to prepare...add boiled water, milk, and butter, bake for 20 minutes, and you have a really nice side dish. The potatoes are soft, and very tasty. Some may find them a little salty, but I was very pleased, no need to add table salt.
I will absolutely keep a couple of these on hand, for a quick side that actually looks like you've put a lot more effort into it!

As I had a high value coupon, and a sore back, I decided to give Aleve a try. I normally take Advil (Ibuprofen) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) but when I saw Naproxen I thought it was worth a try. I do not have any drug sensitivities.
I bought the liquid gel kind, although there are 4 less is a bottle, as I have always found gel caps to work quicker and with less stomach problems. After about 20 minutes, my back was much less painful, I was able to change positions with far less discomfort. After an hour I was able to take the dogs for a walk, fairly comfortably.
I did find it a little misleading that they claim to help with pain for 12 hours, but recommend pills every 8. In my case I had relief for about 6 hours, which is very good, just thought it is worth considering.
I will definitely buy these again, as a third option for my chronic pain.

I love Yankee Candle..it is my absolute favorite treat to myself.
When I saw that they had a new product, basically an auto freshener, I was excited.
It is basically a silver bangle that goes on your rear view mirror. You can personalize by adding charms, and there is a larger charm to add fragrance disks, so you end up with a very pretty decoration. However, I had really hoped to have a nicely fragranced car, which I did for about 4 days. The fragrance disk was rather powerful for a couple of days, then almost completely disappeared. My first one was a Christmas tree scent, and I had already picked up a coconut disk. When the pine scent died, I switched disks, and sadly, the same experience...beautiful scent for a few days, then nothing.
I love thunder, I love the look of the bangle, but it is rather disappointing, not to mention quite expensive, to have scent for so little time.
Car fragrance rarely lasts as long as I would like, as I am a smoker, and have a large car, but given the price, and the quality I expected from Yankee Candle, this is not a product I would recommend.

I have never really spent my time on my eyebrows, with the exception of plucking them...that is probably revealing my age :-)
I received this beautiful gift from Chick Advisor Premium. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to use it as I was a little confused. After figuring it all out, I went ahead and painstakingly created my new eyebrows.
The product is easy to use and surprisingly created a nice frame for my eyes. I filled in my brows per instructions, and was pleased with the diffrence it made in my look. My eyes seemed to stand out more, and I received a compliment at work, so I am now inspired to re-create the look more often.
As I wear glasses that tend to obscure my brows, this is not something I would do everyday, but will definitely be an addition to my special look days.

After trying another scent thanks to Chick Advisor, I saw this on sale at Walmart and decided to treat myself. I chose peach because it is different from the floral I usually choose. The scent is very nice, and peachy. I find the gel very effective in making me feel clean, and the scent lingers for a little while. It makes a great suds when I apply to a bath pouf, and the rich gel cleans but is easily rinsed off. I would definitely try some other scents, this is a brand I am very happy with. -
