I tried the Voila by Sobeys delivery service today. Before I begin this review, I would like to say since Covid started, I have bought all my groceries through online services, ranging from Amazon to shopper services like Instacart, and respective grocery stores deliveries as well. Voila is the 7th major delivery service I tried in the past 4 months.
It was a decent service comparably, the app was easy to navigate, items separated by aisles and easily searchable. Discount items were likewise easily browsable and would appear at the top if available. The idea that it lists how much you saved from buying their sale items at the end of the receipt gives you a good feeling too.
One thing I noticed though is that it does not have a substitution option. At moment of check out (or choosing time slot), it told me directly if something was out of stock (despite listed available while browsing), and asked me to change my basket instead. I liked this, since buying with substitution options sometimes give me the sense of not knowing what I'm getting until it is delivered, and not always what I wanted either.
The delivery price was one of the cheapest I've come across as well, a flat rate amount, cheaper than Walmart, no extra fees and charges. The delivery person contact you by phone before they arrive, and is easily contactable if anything goes wrong during the delivery, which is good too since my house was not the easiest to find.
Of all those good things, there is major downside: that being Voila prices are on the pricier end of grocery shopping. Sale items were fine, but anything ay normal price would likely cost more than the same item at places like Walmart or No Frills. But perhaps due to this, I find they have more stock available, and things which get substituted or refunded from those stores are still available here.
As a note: I received a coupon by Voila! in exchange for an honest review. This coupon facilitated me to try Voila, but in no way influences the content of my review.

This product says it's an exotic spice mix and the ingredients certainly suggests so with ginger and pepper, but honestly it just tastes like cinnamon. But we're not talking about cinnamon flavor, but like you've been chewing on a pure cinnamon stick for an hour. You taste some of the hotness groom the other ingredients, but none of the aroma and that's after the incredibly overly thick sweetness from the cinnamon. It has so much cinnamon in it that I can probably make 2-3 cups with one tea bag, mixed evenly, before I drink. I love spicy teas but I don't think I'll get this one again. -

I got this product for a nominal review price and tried it for a few days. Firstly, I should say I have a problem with scalp eczema, which was why I'm very interested in trying new hair products that could help either control the condition or three dandruff it causes. After trying it for a few days, I have yet to determine if it's actually effective for the condition, but it controls dandruff okay.
The product is essentially scentless, smells like shampoo, without all the added fragrances. It also does a wonderful job of removing dandruff without having to go through several rinses. It foams up well and although some got into my eyes, it didn't sting or turn my eyes red. The only thing I can't say for sure was whether it's scalp care effects was truly useful, but as a dandruff control, this shampoo seems to work well.

I received a few product for the review. It's a great apple sauce fruit snack. It says + fibre, but no one in my family noticed the difference. Although it says tropical, I noticed it's mainly just pineapple flavored. Maybe because pineapple is really strong, but it's not as preferred. It's also quite sour for a tropical flavor. Still, it's perfect for early breakfast. -

I received a free product for the review. It's a great apple sauce fruit snack in raspberry flavor +fiber. It says + fibre, but no one in my family noticed the difference even though they have picky tastes. The raspberry flavor is slightly sour, more so than expected for a flavored snack. Even with no sugar added, I expected it would be less sour. Still, my family likes it and we'll consider it again for a portable, quick snack or apple replacement. Great addition to between meals or breakfast even since its quick to eat. -

Newly played this game at a board gaming meet-up and found it is a fun geeky card game that has simple to understand rules that requires some strategy and simple math. Plays up to 2 to 4, good for a family. Players choose two random card themes from the provided right, mash them together to build a deck to fight against one another. Simple mechanics, much easier than most trading card games out there. -

I have tried several of their brand items and the normal syrups are excellent. I've used a lot of sugar free items for years, but this one is simply horrible. There's a mechanical aftertaste, the foam comes out like watery soap, and the worst part, it smelled like plastic gone bad. Maybe it was a bad bottle, but I returned it instantly where I bought it. -

Tried a few flavors, the almond one was rather bland though, barely tasted the almond before it became too sweet. Good to use as simple sugar replacement. -
I buy a lot of yogurts for smoothies, and this one is definitely a good one. Very smooth, not too overpowering. Easy to use. Not a fan of their squeeze and pour packaging though, I feel like I'm wasting a lot at the end.

I really loved the seasonal spices. It has a well blended combination of cinnamon, ginger, chicory, and a touch of lohan for natural sweetness but not too spicy such that it burned. Really hit the mark with the theme. Loved it!
