This Taotronics humidifier is great and it’s ideal for anyone who wants a large, simple humidifier that does one thing well. Basically, it lasts a lot longer than smaller humidifiers. Running it on low, the water it can hold, easily lasts around 3-4 days. On med-high a little shorter, from 2-3 days. That means less refilling. There is a downside to this in that the tank is pretty heavy when full, but one neat feature Taotronics has that my other large humidifier doesn’t, is a handle. As someone chronically ill and pretty weak, I really appreciate the carrying handle as it makes it easier to transport from sink to base.
I also think it’s pretty cool that it has such a discreet look. It’s all white and simplistic looking, like any normal household product. At first I was worried I couldn’t check the water level, but there’s a transparent strip on the side that works great for seeing how full it is.
My one small complaint is that there’s a big yellow warning sticker telling you not to use oil. Not a big deal, just tear it off, right? Wrong. It sticks like the dickens and once removed leaves a big ugly sticky patch. I can easily use Goo-B-Gone on it, but I would love to see Taotronics use an adhesive that allows for mess-free peeling of the sticker in future. It’s a tiny complaint, but it does annoy me a little!
This is probably one of the quietest humidifiers I’ve used, in terms of mist noise, it’s basically undetectable. However, like all humidifiers (but especially the style that dispenses water downwards from a tank, like this) it does make a bit of a bubbling/glugging noise when sending water down. That could definitely bother some, but I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t make that noise. The mist output is turnable, but does shoot straight up so it's not firing out at your furniture as badly.
Another really neat feature is that the cleaning brush has its own place inside the base, so you won’t lose it. Genius!
The mist it gives out is really cool (as in cold), it doesn’t need a filter and it works great! On top of that the large tank gives me more time without refilling; what more could I ask for?!

My skin tends to do very well with Retinol, so it’s important to make sure you are not sensitive to this ingredient, if you plan to buy. I’ve never had problems with it. This cream promises results in just a week, but to be perfectly honest (which I always am), I didn’t see those promised results. I always take before and after pics to make sure the camera is confirming what my eyes are seeing (sometimes it doesn’t), but I didn’t really notice any change and the camera didn’t either. It’s possible some very small lines directly under the eye were affected, but I don’t feel there were ‘visible’ changes in my week’s use.
With all that being said, it’s not unpleasant to use. The cream absorbs easy, a little goes a long way and it’s not terrible to use. It could very well be that it would take longer than a week to show results, but that’s just not the claim they’re making. I didn’t love the smell (kind of a bitter treacle smell), but it’s not strong at all and is barely noticeable unless you stick it up to your nose.
Overall, I didn’t see results, but it wasn’t unpleasant to use so I’d consider giving it a longer trial in the future.

I’ve never been a big fan of serums and while I’m not sure this one will change my mind, I do think my skin looked more glowy and a tad fresher while using it. It’s pretty subjective, that is to say I didn’t see any major improvements after a week’s use. However, I did enjoy using it, especially compared to other serums.
I find most serums are quite thick, sticky or unpleasant in some way. This is a pretty watery serum, almost more like a gel and that suits me just fine. I think the little balls inside give it a cool look that always makes me smile (as weird as that is). A small amount of this serum spreads well, but not as well as other serums I’ve used. You don’t need a ton, but it’s less spreadable because it absorbs crazy quick, so as long as you are fast at putting it on, you can get away with using less.
I do really love that it absorbs within about a minute. On top of that the scent is nice and fresh, a little strong, but overall good. It’s pretty painless to add this to my beauty routine and I saw some definite improvements, but nothing major. I imagine over a longer period of time, there’d be more changes.

I was more impressed with these than I expected to be. A lot of alternate wipes I use are too dry, I like a moist wipe and find it cleans better. While these are not as moist as my usual brand, they are still plenty wet and do a great job. I’ve been using them in my kitchen and bathroom and the results are comparable to my non-natural brand. Even though they are not anti-bacterial, I find them good for daily use and every couple of days I just run a bleach wipe over to get the germs.
I also loved the scent. It’s not overpowering and it definitely smells natural, like an essential oil. It’s a subtle, pleasant mint smell that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome.
The only thing I didn’t like was the packaging. The wipe dispensing part is weird. It splits into three sections and isn’t clear how to load it. When I first loaded it, the wipes kept coming out weird, but after a few times it worked like a charm, I just wish that was easier.
Overall, despite some minor problems with dispensing the wipes, I was really happy to have a natural alternative (especially for the kitchen) that did just as good a job as my old wipes!

I love citrus scents and this is straight lemon with a hint of herbiness (the bergamot perhaps?). I’m a big fan of this odour and find it not too strong and not too weak. Despite claims of a burst of freshness, I found it was nice and subtle unless I lift my arms. The stick is the soft cream type that glides on easily and while it did have some clumping, it was small enough to be negligible.
Overall, it did the job keeping me dry and smelling good for 24 hours, with a scent I loved!

I was really disappointed with the scent of this. Tangerine is my favourite scent and I lean strongly towards favouring citrus style scents. However, though I don’t see any mention of grapefruit here in the ingredients (parfum is listed, so not sure what scent that is) that was all I could smell. It didn’t smell lemony or tangeriney at all to me. I’m not a fan of grapefruit so I didn’t enjoy it.
I usually love St Ives as well, so this is a rare departure from that for me. The foam is good, it spreads well, my skin felt fine, but I feel like the value here is less than the regular St Ives. That and the grapefruit scent, meant I just couldn’t enjoy this much.

This seems like a good quality food, as far as my experience will allow me to tell. With salmon and yellow pea at the top of the ingredient list (the highest item has higher quantity in the food) and the important addition of taurine, this is a complete food. Lacking grain means not only is it better for most cats, but it will be extremely beneficial to those with the sadly common grain sensitivity or allergy. I love that they have a transition guide here. It’s important not to switch too quickly.
I have three cats and they all really enjoyed this food. I can already see the difference in their coats from the cheaper food I was supplementing with. Though one of my cats requires specialist urinary food from the vet, to save money I was told I could mix no more than half of another food and have been using this for that.
One thing I noticed right away is that it has no smell and their breaths seem less stanky, so I’m really enjoying that.

This is a really good day cream for hydration for very dry skin. I suffer from normal skin which gets dry in the harsh winters and my partner has very dry damaged skin and we both liked this. It’s a good cream for day time or during work because it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy after application (like many do) so you can go on working after. It was really effective at softening both my hands and my partner’s dry elbows equally. I really do love the consistency and how quickly it absorbs. It feels somewhere between a cream and a gel and a little really spreads a long way, which makes it good value!
My only negative would be that I do find the smell a little intense. It has a fresh, sweet smell that I overall like, but it’s far too strong. I can stand it only because I like the smell, but I’d be happy if they toned it down like 50 percent. It’s also quite feminine, something to pay attention to if you don’t like feminine scents.

I didn’t rate this fibre lowly because of the effect, mostly because of the value. Fibre in the diet definitely makes a big difference (though start slow as it can cause an upset stomach when first increasing) and will change your life if you are low on fibre. The insane thing is the amount of fibre in these pills is totally negligible. The pills are quite big and you have to take 4 per day, just to get 2mg of fibre.
An adult person is recommended to get 25g (women) or 40g (men) of fibre a day. So even to get half your recommended for men, you would need to take 40 pills a day. Yes, they’re a supplement and not intended to give you large amounts of fibre, but it’s kind of crazy. For comparison, my fibre gummies (half the price per month) give 10g for four a day, or a fibre 1 brownie gives you 5g. So just enjoy a low calorie dessert and you can stop swallowing four pills a day.
The cost is also insane. For a 30 day supply it’s 23.99 (at time of writing), but for the amount of fibre you’re getting that price is very high. Per gram of fibre, they cost almost four times as much as my current, much more pleasant method.
For that reason, I really can’t recommend them. Of course, if you eat a lot of fibre and want a small supplementary amount, they’ll do, but I feel there are better options.

As with the other GHD products which lack the ‘Ultra-Zone Technology’ I find these slightly worse off for it. Again, it kind of depends on what you’re looking for though. These are a less extreme straighten and will require maybe two strokes for perfect flatness. With one swipe, you’ll get a natural straight look, similar to someone who has straight hair without the use of a flat iron.
Like the other GHD products they are also good quality, with great safety features and guarantees on a long life, as well as being talked up by celebrities and stylists alike. It somewhat comes down to personal preference and I still think that it’s worth the extra $50 to get the Platinum Plus (my personal favourite out of all the straighteners I tried), but this does a great straighten too, especially when compared to cheap brands or even mid-range ones.
I personally prefer a different design, I find the shiny parts make it look cheaper, but I’ve always been a matte fan. I do like the gold plates a lot and these glide comfortably like GHD always does. These plates are more of a chunky thickness, meaning you can do more hair in one go, so a good choice for those with really thick hair, or just a lot of hair.
I have a tendency to pinch my finger in the hinge at the end of this, so I do prefer the wishbone design offered by platinum plus, as well as the press button. This one has a slide button that I think looks cheap and flimsy, especially given the luxury price tag and reputation of the brand.
Overall, it’s another great straightener from GHD for those who want a natural straighten on their thick hair, but if you have an extra $50, I still fully recommend the GHD Platinum Plus line over this!
