I liked the finish of this powder and found that it set my makeup will giving it more of a ‘finished’ polished look. As a matte powder, I was surprised to see it gave a subtle glow to my face and because it’s powder it helped keep the oil at bay on my oily areas like my nose. This is ideal for oily skin types, but I wouldn’t recommend it for dry or aging skin as it can cling and settle into fine lines and flaws.
One thing I didn’t love about it was the packaging. I’m not a fan of powder you must tip up and out through a ‘holed’ lid, I find a lot of the product gets wasted. Since there’s no way to take the secondary lid off (the one with holes), you can dip your brush in this powder and there’s no puff included.
Since I personally prefer to apply setting powder with a brush, I was a bit disappointed at that, so while I love the finish, I prefer a powder that can be brushed on!

My skin is extremely white and I’m ghost pale (I was born in Scotland and look like it!) so the first unfortunate thing I noticed about this concealer is that it was a tad too dark and yellow toned for me. It’s the palest shade available, so it seems they really don’t have a good concealer for those with super pale skin. The Light Ivory shade should suit most people with pale skin, but if you’re ghastly pale, like me, it might not be light enough.
One thing I did really like about the Can't Stop Won't Stop Contour Concealer is the liquid format. I’m used to using stick concealer and I found the liquid concealer is much easier for cut crease and use around the eyes than my usual format.
However, I did find it far too drying. Matte formulas can unfortunately tend to lean towards being dry and thick and this suffers from that problem. If you don’t blend it immediately it will become so hard to move, so do a little at a time as opposed to applying all over different spots and then blending. I also wouldn’t recommend this for people with dry skin, but for oily-skin ladies and gents, this concealer might be ideal.
Overall, I liked the liquid formula and matte finish, but didn’t love how dry and thick it was. I would recommend it for those with oily skin who are not overly pale, but I probably won’t use it again as they don’t have the right shade for me.

When it comes to whitening, keeping my teeth clean and not irritating, this does as good a job as any of the Colgate Total formulas; which is to say a very good one! I’m particularly impressed because this is a ‘repair’ formula that doesn’t taste terrible. It tastes like that old-fashioned chalk candy, maybe wintergreen with a bit of aniseed, hard to pinpoint, but not unpleasant.
Like many of the Total’s this does get a bit foamy (more-so when using a manual toothbrush), so I find I can use less than with other toothpastes.
Basically, I couldn’t find any downside to this! So if you’re looking for a daily toothpaste that does it all, repairs and doesn’t taste bad, this is a brilliant option!

These are apparently designed and work well for places that require clear trash bags. I don’t live in such an area, but I found these are great for tossing things that you want to give away for ‘free’. The world of garbage picking is a really interesting place and you could even use these on your regular bags to prevent garbage pickers from having to open them to see what’s in there (if you don’t mind the privacy issue!).
I like that they’re clear, so I can use them on old stuff that still has life on it and when it’s raining it helps protect the item. That way if anyone passing by wants it, it can be clearly seen!
They are a big size, thick and good quality and have the four curvy bits that make it easier to tie a knot. Overall, they’re what you expect and do that job just fine!

Not much to say about these! I have three cats and they all like them, so it’s an interesting and popular treat to feed them as well as increasing their liquid intake, since we feed them primarily dry. I usually give them wet food twice a week to make sure they’re getting enough water (as well as fountains running for them) and simply replaced the wet food with these.
I do think it’s important to be careful feeding these as your cat could easily pile on the weight, so if you’re using these as a tasty supplement, make sure to look at the nutritional info and subtract the relevant calories from their regular feed.

Hair type: Short (pixie), thick, naturally wavy and greying brunette.
I’m surprised that I didn’t like this, I’ve loved some products in the past from R + Co, but I suppose hair products are always hit and miss. Mannequin’s descriptors are everything I would love ‘messy, matte, sexy styling paste’ with a ‘flexible hold’, basically for messy hair, but I didn’t find this was true to reality.
I would say it’s matte-ish, that’s the only thing I can give it. I still find there was a little too much ‘product’ look in my hair, matte products usually look more natural than this did. I found it was difficult to make it look messy or naturally texturised. I could make my hair stand straight up, but not much else. I was hoping this would allow for a textured messy look that wasn’t just spiked up, but that’s not the case here.
For me, the deal-breaker though was the scent. It’s described on their site as ‘Orange, Rhubarb, Cardamom, Juicy Fig, Guava, Blonde Woods, Amber’ but to me, it just smelled like grapefruit (a scent I hate). I guess maybe it’s the guava, but I couldn’t stand the scent.
I do like that it's vegan and cruelty free, but it just didn't work well with my short hair.

I seem to be in the minority, but I simply cannot fathom why people want this water bottle. I mean, I usually think filtered water tastes better, but filters are an extra expense, the bottles themselves are insanely expensive (37.79 at time of writing) and that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my issues with this water bottle.
Read on for a detailed review, or scroll to the bottom for a summary of my thoughts!
----------
Taste
----------
Bottom line, when it comes down to a water bottle that charges through the nose and claims to taste better; does it? Well, no. I wanted to be sure we had an honest experience and so I conducted a blind taste test. First I poured two different glasses of water for my partner, singing to disguise the noise of the water bottles being poured. Fun fact, the Brita is basically impossible to pour and will only dribble out through the hole, not the straw, so I had to serve small drinks. He couldn’t taste any difference.
Next, he did the same for me. I thought I could taste a small difference, but not enough so that I would care and I’m a supertaster (more tastebuds than normal). So if you want to spend this much money on an extremely minor difference of slightly crisper water, who am I to stop you? But I feel it’s a bit mad.
Considering filters costs avg $4 per filter (at time of review, lasts 2 months) you’ll spend $24 on filters a year, not a bank-breaking amount, but kind of insane that it’ll take you more than a year to spend on filters what you spent on the bottle and either way, it’s an extra cost. You can also elect to just not put a filter in, I suppose.
----------
Design
----------
For fans of turquoise, Sea Glass is definitely the prettier colour, but overall the design is good-looking. I do like the ‘press button’ to open the bottle as I frequently drink with only one hand free, but that’s the only good thing I can say about the design functionality.
In terms of functionality, I feel this is a straight up fail and don’t understand the love for it. The ‘chunky straw’ dispenser is made of silicone. First of all, this attracts dust and dirt (on my drinking spout!? It’s more likely than you think). Also drinking from the straw with a sucking motion gives you what? Those of you who answered ‘Gas’ get a bonus point!
Apparently, some people really like this ‘straw’ type of drinking bottle, but it’s a really weird feeling. For a start, there is no option to tip and pour it into your mouth, if you try and tip the water bottle it just leaks out a weird hole behind the straw. Secondly, the straw takes so much strength to suck up very little water, you swallow a ton of air and don’t really quench your thirst. I feel like I’m drinking from a kiddie cup, which in public is frankly embarrassing and I’m not a fan of it in my private life either. I’m also the kind of person who bites straws (I know, I know, I can’t help it!) so the last thing I want on my water bottle is tooth marks.
The other thing I worry about is biofilms. Even with a bottle brush, I feel like it’s impossible to clean in that spout well, not to mention all the casing curves/bends and fiddly bits around the filter. I don’t feel confident at all that there wouldn’t be gunk or germs in there and would love to see a study done on this! It’s probably ok if you have a dishwasher, maybe not even then, but I don’t so it’s a moot point.
--------------------
Summary
--------------------
Overall, this is a big failure in design for me. The water bottle is like a kiddie cup that you must suck from, feels awkward, doesn’t dispense enough water and is generally just not my cup of tea.
Pros:
+ Water is very slightly crisper (from the point of view of a super-taster, and a VERY minor difference in taste).
+ Filters are reasonably cheap ($4 per filter, $8 every 4 months).
+ Design is pretty.
+ Button to open makes one-handed operation easy.
Cons:
- Bottle is ludicrously expensive ($37 at time of writing).
- Silicone straw dispenser attracts dust and dirt.
- Straw is too hard to suck up water; tons of effort, very little water.
- Straw being soft, but firm makes it difficult not to dig teeth in, will leave tooth marks over time.
- No way to pour water out into a cup, or into your mouth even and when tipped up, it leaks.
- Feels like drinking from a kiddie cup.
- Impossible to clean well without a dishwasher. Bio-films and gunk will accumulate in this.
Recommended: No. The cost is far too high and I personally hated it!

I’ve never used a makeup brush with this kind of style before, only the more traditional ones. To be honest, I felt like it was a bit gimmicky from reading the description, but from the second I started using it I was sold. I have massive problems with foundation clinging to dry parts of my skin and as a result I’ve used so many methods of applying. I tried the heavily recommended wet beauty blender method, a makeup drop tool, a regular brush, my fingers; I feel like I’ve tried so much. I was even considering a sonic foundation brush. None of the methods have solved or even reduced my problem, so I wasn’t expecting this to either.
I’m shocked, because this applies foundation so much better than any of the other methods I’ve tried. Basically, you squirt two drops of liquid foundation into the well in the centre and start buffing circularly around your face. I found that it was enough to cover a little more than half my face and by repeating it once I could get an even coverage over my whole face and neck. It barely clung to my dry 'problem' areas at all and seemed to help the foundation cover up, rather than enhance those.
The brush is so soft, bendable and comfortable on my skin. It doesn’t shed at all and I really have no idea how it does it, but it applies the foundation so easily and well. I would actually buy this brush and I’m a bonafide cheapskate.
The only negative I can say is that I did find it quite hard to clean the brush, foundation gets so deep down in the bristles that it’s hard to clean it well, but it’s absolutely worth it for a painless, fast and simple foundation application. Obviously, I’ll report back in the future if there are problems over time, but right now I’ve found a new dream makeup brush!

This is a really straight-forward simple toy with limited articulation. It’s up to you to decide if the price is worth it, but I feel it’s a bit expensive and would prefer 15.99 as a price. It’s a strictly imagination based toy, no gimmicks or features, just a large sized figure. He is a pretty reasonable size, perfect for those around 3 or 4. He’s lightweight and more importantly, extremely sturdy.
Basically, this is a toy that kids will love to drag around with them and play make-believe. If they’re a fan of Power Rangers, they’ll love him.

I love the idea of these, replacing single use plastic fruit and veg bags with something reusable that can easily be washed. These are...well they’re ok and if I hadn’t used another version, I’d probably be happier, but I feel these are a little expensive for what they are and also not as useful as a set that has multiple sizes.
Basically, these ones are long, short bags (like a sheet of paper turned on it’s side) and all the same size. It would be better to have a set with mixed sizes. The other thing I didn’t like was I felt like the top ‘fabric’ was messy and had a lot of loose or poor stitching, so I don’t think they’ll last well over time.
That being said, overall they do the job and can be used for storing fruit and veg as well as at the grocery store. They are lightweight enough not to have to worry about it adding on cost, but I find the price a bit high (14.99 at time of writing) for the quality.
