I already have a Polaroid tripod that I use for my mobile photography and I have to say that this tripod impressed me as well, the only difference is that it's a little shorter. If you plan to use this for photoshoots, you should be aware that fully extended, it will be looking at the subject (if it's a person) from a 'below' angle. So make sure you don't need a taller tripod, this depends on your photography needs.
As a 55" tripod, this is great. It has every feature that my Polaroid tripod has and they all work well. It's very easy to use and adjustable, simply unlock the plastic locks and slide the legs out and then relock them in place. One thing I really liked about this that my Polaroid tripod doesn't have, is the rotating feet. It makes it really easy to set it on an unstable surface, without it tipping, so that's a big bonus for outdoor photography.
I'm a hobby photographer and tested this primarily with my cellphone. It has a standard plate on it with the standard size screw, so you can use most accessories for tripods, such as a cell phone holder. I also like that it comes with a little portable bag for easy carrying.
Just a good, all round tripod that's great for those on a budget!
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Has comparable features to higher end tripods.
+ Adjustable length.
+ Easy to lock, unlock and change leg length.
+ Lightweight.
+ Comes with carry bag.
+ Feet are great for using on unsteady surfaces.
+ Has a hook for weighting it so it doesn't blow away when it's windy.
Cons
- None.

A while back I was looking for a stylus with a fine tip to practice my digital drawing with and couldn't find one with anywhere near this fine of a tip. It could be that technology has caught up since then, but either way I was very impressed by this stylus. As an amateur artist, I find it pretty difficult to train myself to draw digitally and this stylus really took away the stress by just being simple and easy to use.
Protip: Try the Sketchbook Xpress app!
I used this both on my Android phone and my Apple iPad without any issues whatsoever. The stylus transmitted without errors or leaving gaps and even when drawing the only issues I had were issues caused by the transition from classic drawing to digital (i.e. the eternal struggle!). The button is placed in a way where it doesn't accidentally get pressed and takes a simple press to turn on. The stylus is heavier than a pen, but still pretty light.
The only difference between this stylus and a drawing tablet, is that computer tablets and mobile phones can't read pressure sensitivity. This is much handier to draw with as you don't have to sit at a computer and open photoshop, you can do it on your ipad or phone. It also works great for writing or taking notes or just as a regular stylus.
The only negative I could say is that 10 hours battery life isn't a huge amount if you're drawing for hours at a time, so I'd recommend using a rechargeable AAA battery. (Don't forget to remove the packaging from the battery section).
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Super easy to setup, remove the battery packaging and you're ready to go. No fuss, no muss.
+ Connection works great both on android and apple.
+ Never had any problems with it not drawing correctly or misreading.
+ Lightweight considering. (Still heavier than a pen).
+ Very fine tip, easy to see what you're drawing!
Cons
- Battery life could be longer.

These noise-cancelling headphones provide very good audio quality with a few extra useful features, but they come with a few drawbacks as well.
First of all, the cord that comes with these headphones is very long, probably 50% longer than my other headphones. This is a good thing and a bad thing, depending on your situation. If you like to have a long cord when listening to music, these are great, and I can see many scenarios where I’d be happy for that extra cord. But I use my headphones almost exclusively with my phone in my pocket, so the extra cord was wasted, and actually became a major annoyance as it constantly got tangled into itself.
Having to spend a few minutes untangling them every single time I wanted to listen to music was a huge pain. These would benefit from a cord clip!
The noise cancelling feature works very well, and helps to cut down on background noise. If you’ve never used it you won’t notice a huge difference at first, but when you turn it off or use other headphones you’ll suddenly notice just how much background noise is being filtered out by this feature. It’s turned on and off by a switch on the cord, but it does NOT turn off automatically when unplugged. As a result, I was constantly forgetting top turn this feature off, draining the battery much quicker than necessary.
The in-ear wing design is very comfortable, and didn’t require any fiddling or adjusting for me. I just put them into my ears and right away they fit me very well, which was a concern of mine, as other in-ear wing designs have given me trouble in the past. By contrast, these stayed in during exercise and while running, and never felt loose or uncomfortable.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Long cord.
+ Noise cancelling works very well.
+ Very comfortable in the ears, and easy to slip on and off.
+ Great audio quality.
+ Stays secure while running or exercising.
Cons
- Cord is so long that it got tangled constantly.
- Very easy to forget to turn off noise cancelling and drain battery quickly.

This messenger-style bag from Leaper is the kind of bag that lends itself naturally to a college student’s needs, or just for a day out. It has several compartments of various sizes, with the largest being big enough for a tablet or small laptop. There’s enough storage space here for a wallet, keys, phone, some snacks and more. This bag isn’t big enough for anything like a camping trip, or to carry a ton of textbooks, but it does work well for a light workday or a trip to the coffee house.
The bag feels easy on the shoulder when wearing it, and it’s padded well so there’s no issue with anything inside the bag digging into your bag. It’s actually very comfortable when you put it on, and you can adjust the strap easily on the fly. It also has very large zippers, making it easy to open up and saving you from having to dig around for the zipper if you’re trying to open it at night or while in it’s on your back.
I found the design of this bag to be very appealing, with a subdued coffee-shop aesthetic that works well. It’s not the biggest bag, and it does have a weird smell when it first arrives, so let it air out for a few days. Once that’s done though, this is a bag that fills a particular niche very well.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Large, easy to grab zippers
+ Very cool, subdued design
+ Easy to wear and adjust
+ Can hold small laptop, tablet, and other odds and ends
+ Great for college or for a day out
Cons
- Smells unpleasant when it arrives, so let it air out for a few days. (Star removed for this)

I used to buy a lot of these silicone molds with the idea that one day I would be an amazing baker and make super cute cupcakes and cakes with pretty little accents. Then I realised I hate to bake. Well, you know what they say about doors closing and windows opening? I've discovered these days I love to work in clay and these molds come in handy for that just the same.
The good thing about silicone is it can survive extremely hot or cold temps, so you can use them as ice cube trays (as I've done here for demonstration), for chocolate molding or for clay or crafts, even for hot glue gun shapes. Just keep in mind that you should never, ever cross contaminate. Make sure you have a set for food and a set for craft or 'chemical' uses with any sort of cooking or craft implement.
The flexible silicone on these is so much better than the stiffer silicone (even though they are easier to carry) as popping out the finished shapes is much easier. I can't wait to use these to craft some cute ornaments and decorations for my custom boxes, but so far they've been working great!
I love the little accent on the heart, which makes it stand out from just a regular heart shape.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Great price points for a set of three.
+ Designs are all a good size and deep enough to show up the grooves and accents (doesn't show up as well in ice due to transparency).
+ Very easy to pop out finished shapes.
+ Great for clay work or food use (don't cross contaminate though!)
+ Can take high or low temperatures.
Cons
- None.

When I first received this mat, I was a little sceptical. I've seen a lot of bathmat's advertised as non-slip when they aren't and that can be a serious problem for people with mobility issues. Well, I'm happy to say that this bath mat is probably the most non-slip one I've ever owned. The rubber backing sticks to my bathroom tile amazingly well and doesn't budge an inch, even when I step heavily and awkwardly on it (and I weigh more than your average person!).
It also doesn't suffer from that problem a lot of mats do where you through it on the ground and it wrinkles up and has to be flattened. The rubber bottom is responsible for this perk too, it's heavy enough and stiff enough that the mat flattens itself right out on the floor easily the first time you drop it. Yet, it's still flexible enough to be draped softly over the edge of your bath when not in use.
It is on the smaller side, but it works great for those with small apartment bathrooms (like me) where an oversized mat can cause problems and bunch up.
I will admit the fibre felt really synthetic on my bare feet...when they were dry. But when my feet were wet it felt lovely and plush and not damp at all. It absorbed the water really well without feeling wet or uncomfortable. I wish it came in more colours or designs, but it's really a great mat (especially at this price point). It can be used as a bathmat, but would really work great as any kind of mat.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Rubber bottom makes it non-slip, didn't slide or bunch up even when stepped on at a strange angle.
+ Easy to place on the floor. (One drop and it positions itself perfectly)
+ Absorbs water well without feeling damp!
+ Feels great and soft on wet feet.
+ Can be used in the bathroom or anywhere really.
Cons
- Fabric feels very fake and synthetic when your feet is dry.

At this price point, this speaker's audio quality is acceptable, but I've seen similarly priced speakers that do a much better job, sadly. The audio quality is pretty good, though at the loudest, it's probably more suitable for indoor use as the audio isn't loud or clear enough to sound good in a larger environment.
It's easy to use and pair as well, but I had a few design issues with this little speaker.
1. It doesn't come with an audio cable, so you're limited only to use bluetooth, most come with the option to wire it if you need or want.
2. You have to hold the power button for a ridiculously long time to turn it off. Like more than 7 seconds. I kept thinking I was doing it wrong.
3. The silicone section ends up getting very dusty and looks messy compared to the sleek plastic.
4. The audio on calls is far too quiet and can't be heard clearly even at close range.
In general, I'm not really a fan of the design of this speaker as I feel it's clunky and old fashioned, but I do like that it has a clip, which is something not all of these bluetooth speakers have. It's IPX4 waterproof (against splashes) so would work for the shower as well.
Overall, the speaker quality is fair for this price point and while there are a few design flaws, it's not bad, but there's certainly room for improvement.
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Has a clip.
+ IPX4 Waterproof (splashes)
+ Colour is nice and bright.
+ Audio quality is pretty good.
Cons
- Works better in smaller rooms.
- Call audio is too quiet to be useful.
- Silicone picks up dust.
- NO audio cable option, bluetooth only.
- Power button must be held far too long to turn it off.

I'm loving the recent trend of mermaid blankets! As with other mermaid blankets I've seen, this unfortunately is not fully enclosed at the bottom as the 'fin' is open. I still think it would be better to have the bottom closed off, or to allow the feet to sit in an enclosed fin section, but so far I haven't seen a design like that.
When this arrived, mine did have a little bit of an unpleasant smell from the plastic bag it was in, but after a quick wash it was totally fine and I can also confirm that it can be washed on a 'delicate' setting with no problems or damage to the blanket (please never tumble dry wool).
My favourite part of this blanket is the way the wool is actually knitted in a 'scale pattern', it really gives it an authentic mermaid look and the fin even has a different pattern. The quality is great and mine didn't have any issues of pulled or ripped threads. It is quite snug if you're wearing pants, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're on the top end of the plus size scale, but for normal to curvy people, this blanket works great.
Please enjoy the pictures of my husband mermaid/unconvincing Ariel cosplay!
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Soft.
+ Gorgeous colors.
+ Great 'scale' stitching pattern that makes it really look mermaidy.
+ Warm and comfortable.
+ Can be washed in the machine on delicate.
Cons
- Blanket had a manufacturing/plastic smell on arrival and needed to be washed.
- Bottom of the blanket is not closed off for maximum cosiness.

This wireless gamepad from Telmu is a great addition for anyone who plays games on PC or even on their Android smartphone (or tv box). You can plug it in via USB and use it wirelessly with your PC/tv box, or connect it via bluetooth. Either way it’s very simple to set up, and once you’ve done it once you can reconnect with the push of one button. I tested it on mobile (android), but over my time spent with it so far, I've been mostly using it for Steam.
The one annoying part of setting up this controller is that it requires updated drivers, which are offered via a MediaFire link in the manual. I was not comfortable using a mediafire link to download these files, but with a little bit of searching I was able to get my computer to update the drivers on their own. However, I feel the company should include a small CD or put the drivers on their own website to put customers at ease.
This gamepad is rechargeable, which I love, and the battery lasts several hours between charges. I've been playing for a week so far, 3-4 hours per day and it has yet to need charged. It has separate modes for android and for PC, and you can switch between the two with a quick button press. The wireless connection was very stable and I never had any trouble with it disconnecting or failing to communicate.
Once I set up the controller with my PC, I did notice that the triggers on the gamepad were a little sensitive, but after I calibrated it that issue was resolved as well. For this price, I think it’s a great option for a wireless gamepad and I like it just as much as my wired xbox controller for Steam games, but this has the added benefit of being wireless!
SUMMARY
********************************************
Pros
+ Works with PC, smartphones, and TV boxes
+ Great for PC games
+ Charge lasts for several hours and has an auto-sleep function
+ Works via USB or Bluetooth
Cons
- Updating the drivers requires some work
- Control triggers are very sensitive without calibration

This canvas backpack from Leaper is great for anyone going to school or college. Not only is the canvas comfortable and strong, but it also has a ton of holding space inside. It has several compartments, including ones for water bottles, tablets, phones, and some larger ones for your books/clothes/laptop.
The overall design of this bag is a really nice, simple rustic look that would suit a man or a woman. The material is really strong, and the stitching and detail on the bag are all great. Inside, the bag isn’t particularly padded, but it does have a sleeve that you can use to hold a tablet or laptop. I wouldn’t worry about damaging anything inside, as the canvas provides good padding on its own.
When you wear this backpack it sits comfortably on the back, and I didn’t have any issues with books or my laptop digging into my back. The adjustable straps have a lot of range, so the bag can fit people of various ages and sizes without any trouble. I found this bag to be easy and comfortable to use, and very flexible for whatever kind of day you might be planning for.
