I was massively sceptical before I tried this product. Previously I would only remove makeup with some kind of a scrub to get that really "clean" feeling on my skin.
My bodyshop rep recommended that I try this as I was complaining about my skin being dry & tight. I wear 24hr long stay full coverage foundation & waterproof mascara, there was no way it was coming off.
So, the product. It comes in a tin which I like. No plastic and I reuse them for storing & making scented candles. You can also recycle them. It is a good size too, so far they last me a few months at a time, used every day. It has a really mild, fresh scent which I like too.
When you first open the tin, the product looks and feels like wax. You simply scoop some out (you only need a little, it goes a long way) and rub it on your face.
The cleansing butter melts on contact and with it, it melts ALL your make up. I mean all. If you want to test this (and I did) just try it on one side of your face. All traces of foundation, waterproof mascara, eye shadow and even the 12 hour lipsticks that stick like glue and usually leave you tinted like you've been eating highly coloured ice pops, all gone.
Once you have literally rubbed the butter all over your face just wipe it away. You can buy a special cloth from the Bodyshop for this but I just use a damp cloth or sponge.
Have I mentioned eco yet? This also saves water as there isn't lots of rinsing plus I feel better about not sending more microplastics down the plughole.
You skin is left clean soft & moisturised. No tight dryness.
I've been recommending this stuff to everyone who even mentions makeup to me. It is amazing & everything you can want from a cleanser in one tin. It is £11 for 90ml so not the cheapest around but you can get frequent discounts in store, or with a rep if you have one, & I tend to stock up then.
