The story and writing is a lot different than what I normally read but with that being said it was an okay book. Not sure if I will read anything else in the series. -

I got to say I sorta enjoyed it. For a book of that time period it was pretty descriptive and interesting.
I love how the tin man, lion and scarecrow wants the one thing that they already have inside but they have to still get the great and terrible Oz to give them physical forms of these items when they truly had them all along but were not confident enough in themselves to realize it.
I think a great descriptive book to read to a younger child to help peek their imaginations.

Never before have I read a book where I wanted so much more. My heart aches to know the rest of their story. I need to know.
This book is like nothing I have ever read before. It follows a journey of hundreds of lifetimes, hundreds of years of Daniel trying to find his one true love, Sophia.
The lifetimes do not always cross paths at the right times. For example Sophia could be an old lady while Daniel is a child. So we watch and we read and we wait and we pray that this time is the time that Daniel will finally be able to be with Sophia.
I read through the lifetimes and I could feel his anguish, his pain in wanting Sophia. Instances where he found her but in the worst of circumstances, times when he was dying and he finally told her everything. Times when he was so close to happiness only to have it snatched away.
The book was fabulously written. Ann Brashares certainly wrote with a flourish and way with words like no other.
I enjoyed this book and really hope that a second book is in the makes, because the ending, instead needs to be a beginning to more.

Secretly uprooting their son Robert, changing their names, moving to another state seems to be the only thing Fran can do to free herself from the confines of Bobby.
Frannie becomes Beth Crenshaw with a new name, a new home, a new job, even a new birthday. She manages to have Robert keep his first name, but he too got to keep the secret of where he really came from and who he really was.
As readers we get a pretty in dept view of what it is like to live the life of a battered woman. How she was happy, scared, hurt, and sometimes still in love at the same times. How emotions ran high and hurts ran deep.
I really enjoyed this book, the writing was fantastic and the story line was something that kept me interested from page one to the end.
Definitely recommend.

We have purchased these markers on several occasions. The first time was a couple of years ago when we were making a Halloween costume. The markers did exactly what I needed them to do, they did not dry out and the color was amazing.
The next couple of packages we purchased were also great.
But back in September I bought a large package with lots of colors and some of them were very runny and actually made lots blotting and the ink ran into the covers while some of the others dried up without ever being used.
I am hoping that it was a bad package, as I said it was a larger package that was available with their back to school stuff rather than the small package that I normally purchased.
I would still purchase them to try again.
The price is fantastic, and they are very effective with bright colors.
