If you are not a fan of the coffee flavor than this is the French Vanilla Cappuccino for you. It is sweet and tasty with virtually no coffee flavor. This is what I used to buy at Tims before I discovered just how much I love coffee lol.

Honestly I did enjoy the book, at least for the most part. BUT there were several times during the book where I was like “Do teenagers really talk like that?!?!” (none that I know of) The way they spoke seemed so absurd to me that much of the book became frustrating to read. I mean it was easy to understand, but just in my head It was harder to get to be on the characters level when to me the author tried way too hard to make them sound wise beyond their years….I don’t mean this in a good way either, it was more like wise in an ancient annoying way that no teenagers talk. And lets not even begin to talk about Peter Van Houten – The author of ‘An Imperial Affliction” that they go visit. >< I was annoyed beyond belief with his entire character.
The beginning of the book was much more interesting to me but then it took a turn. It was still good, but just not as good as I thought it was going to be. There was so much hype created around this book that I truly expected to be reading page to page loving the book, and wanting it not to end.
The characters of Hazel and Gus were great I mean I did like them, I loved how they were openly honest with the cancer they were going through, talking about ‘cancer perks’ and metaphors. But much of their dialogue was forced. Long drawn out sentences with big fancy wording and meaning, that half the time, well….didn’t make sense.
From first when Hazel and Gus started falling in love with each other I could almost call the ending of the book. I knew that was the turn the book was going to head in. So there really was no shocker for me. No big “ah-ha” moment. Just predictable.
But all in all I did enjoy it. I basically read it before my daughter just to see what all the hype was about. I think she will enjoy it. There were parts of the book that I enjoyed a heck of a lot more then the others. But that is a given with anything that we read.

I never knew this book existed until I started seeing the newly released book with the television show cover coming up across my Facebook news feed. At the very same time my daughter was reading Underground to Canada in her grade 7 Language class and she had heard about the television show and book. She came home from school and said she wanted the book. (she is an extremely advanced and avid reader). I ordered the book from amazon and added it to my goodreads to read shelf. I Noticed it had an exceptional rating.
Now as far as ratings go you might love a book that I turn out to dislike, or I might love a book that you may dislike. So I try not to choose a book based solely on its rating. But I have several friends and family members who read this book and said it was well worth the read.
It was very well written. First I should say that this book is a work of fiction, but even though the detail in this book does an excellent job of detailing what life was like as a slave. It is about slavery but even more then that it is about one woman’s journey from being snatched in Africa, to her journey into slavery, through slavery, and beyond.
The story begins in a time where she is an older lady and wants to write her own autobiography. She wants to write it herself because she wants it to be accurate. Lawrence Hill does an exceptional job bringing her story to life with vivid details through Aminata’s eyes.
Aminata Diallo was snatched in West Africa as an 11 year old child and forced to walk for months to sea where she would then board a ship and cross over to become a slave in South Carolina.
Aminata proves to be an exceptionally talented person even from the young age of 11 she was already ‘catching babies’. As the story progresses she becomes more and more literate and more determined to fight for not only her freedom, but the freedom of all slaves.
I won’t go into any more details, don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who has not read this book yet.
This was one of the best books I have read in a long time and more than deserved the 5 star rating I gave it on Goodreads.

Book: Finding Me
Author: Kathryn Cushman
Publisher: Bethany House
This was my first time reading a book by Kathryn Cushman. I have to say I was sucked in right from the beginning. I was only a few chapters in when I realized I would not be putting this book down any time soon.
The back of the book alone would suck someone into picking up this book and begin reading.
What would you do if you learned your life was a lie?
Imagine that everything you know about your current life has been a lie. All the information you have been fed, tidbits of your past, all untrue. The only thing you know to be true is the love of a father to his daughter, and right now you even question the reality of that. Kelli Huddleston only knew her current life, she never knew there was a past one, one that changed when she was just 1. She knew that her mother and two siblings had been killed in a fire when she was an infant, but that turned out to be nothing more than a story.
Her Father and Step Mother were killed in a tragic accident leaving Kelli’s whole world crashing around. While sorting through her fathers belongings in his study, she begins to uncover pieces of a truth she had never known. With the recovery of pictures her father had stored in a safe, and newspaper clippings about a young father and daughter who died in a boating accident, Kelli begins to slowly piece her previous life together.
Kelli decides she must learn the truth about her past. Armed with the pictures and newspaper clippings she begins digging into her past. She suddenly becomes a part of her families lives, but it is unknown to them. As her world is suddenly shaken and falling out from under her feet again she must choose which decision is best not only for her but for the lives of her family.
What would you do if you were in Kelli’s shoes?
I found this book to be fantastic. It was a page turner and I had a hard time putting it down. As I mentioned above it was my first time reading anything by Kathryn Cushman, but I have to say it will definitely not be the last.
Disclaimer: I received this book complimentary from Bethany House to write an honest review. All opinions are my own and I will not be compensated in any way for writing this review.

This product wins, HANDS DOWN.
This collection combines Turkish fig with natural restorative properties of Indian cassia. It boasts returning dull, dry hair to its natural radiance.
Honestly It works. I just shampooed, conditioned, and hand dried my hair a tiny bit and then used the oil elixir, just a squirt, I rubbed it into the ends of my hair and gently through out the length. Then I let my hair air dry the rest of the way.
The results?
Soft curls, without the frizz, shiny.
And a side note: This product may cause random people to sniff your hair!!
Yes, it smells that good!!

Tu-Bees Gourmet Honey is a 100% Canadian product from the golden fields of Saskatchewan. It is creamed with natural flavours using only the finest of ingredients. Tu-Bees is unique in their packaging. Packaged in squeezable tubes.
Tu-Bees is available in a wide variety of flavours. All are naturally flavoured and come in 140g tubes in the following flavours:

Tu-Bees is BPA-free and phthalates free, nut and dairy free. Produced in a gluten-free facility. They also have some kosher certified flavors.
My favorite thing about Tu-Bees is how family oriented the company is. Tu-Bees Food Inc. was established in 2007 by two sisters who were 12 and 10 years old at the time. Together, along with their mother’s assistance and guidance they were able to expand their business over the last 7 years to include western and central Canada.
I have heard nothing but great reviews and comments on this fantastic company, and I myself have given nothing but praise to them. Their products are fantastic, convenient, and yummy.
My favorite flavours are Saskatoon berry and black cherry.

First off the scent was perfect. I love how mild these products are. Nothing too strong.
My initial thought was that this was going to be too heavy of a product because when I took some out of the crock it was heavy and thick on my fingers….
However the product went on very evenly and after a few minutes I could hardly tell that I was wearing a moisturizer. This is important for me. I hate feeling products on my face. So I was pleasantly surprised.
This product kept my face moisturized for the entire day. My face felt great.

As I said above the Gel like texture was a bit surprising, but I really did like it. My face felt great after applying.
I will definitely be recommending this product!

This was actually my first time using Micellar water and I was initially a little skeptical about adding another step to my routine. But that skepticism was quickly resolved when this product did exactly what it claimed it would do. And not only that, but it was so mild on my skin. It might just be my new makeup remover and face cleaner.
It removed the makeup and dirt from my skin without having to scrub. Gentle, gentle, gentle!!
My skin felt very clean and airy after using this product.
The product instructions calls for using a cotton ball, I am not really a fan of cotton balls and chose to use a cotton pad instead and I honestly believe it made the product easier to use.
A++ in my book!!

I love Glosette brand items. My favorite are the chocolate covered raisins. I have to say the biggest positive thing about the Glosette Almonds are how cheap they are compared to gourmet brands and they taste just as good, if not better.
