Refillery District is a one stop shop for your zero waste shopping needs. You can get everything from food to personal care and household cleaning products all with minimal to no packaging. The items that have it use environmentally friendly packaging. It's a much simpler process than one would think. All of the products I've bought from there have been great quality. It's a great store to visit if you're eco conscious and in the Orillia area. -

This makes my hair feel soft and it leaves my hair with a beautiful natural shine without making it look greasy and it smells amazing, but it doesn't help my hair with frizz. My hair needs something heavier than this product to combat frizz. For this I like to use Argan oil or Dr. Bronner's hair creme. That being said, I do like this product and I have bought it more than once and I will probably buy it again. I think this would be good to combat frizz for someone who has thinner and finer hair than I do. -

I honestly despised this bar at first. I hated the smell, the way my hair felt after using it.. I ended up using it up because I didn't want to waste my money and I'm glad I did. It has turned out to be one of my absolute favourite Shampoos I've ever used. My hair is normally thick, fault coarse and frizzy, but this bar works well with my hair. It's never been this soft, shiny or healthy looking/feeling. Frizz isn't a huge issue for me anymore, which I appreciate and my ends feel soft. I still haven't used the entire bar up, but it's been about 3 months since I bought it and I think I can still squeeze another month from it, so the longevity of this product is pretty good. I wash my hair about every second day and it's about an inch or two past my shoulders. The key is After you're done, make sure that you put it in a dry spot until its next use. Would 1000% recommend this to others. -

This bar is SO much more user friendly than any of the other Lush solid conditioners. I really like the Jungle bar, but I will admit that it can be quite a daunting process trying to get the product off.. The product on this pressed conditioner bar comes off so, so much easier and It just feels completely different than the other bars, it's softer and you can feel the oils in it when you pick the dry bar up. You absolutely need to make sure that when you are done you are letting it dry fully, I think this bar will be more prone to melting if not dried or stored properly. I had to pat the excess water off, but I did leave it in a spot that got some spray while I showered, so maybe it was just my fault. The smell is ok, it's not something I'm necessarily fond of, but it isn't bad. The thing to remember with these bars is that they won't give you that slippery feeling that a traditional conditioner does, however, this bar left my hair noticeably softer after rinsing. Overall, this is a great conditioner bar. Much easier to use than their other ones. If you've used their bars in the past and found it too much work to get product off you should give this one a try. It also has no packaging, so that's another wonderful thing! -

I am looking at reducing the amount of waste I produce, so I decided to try solid toiletries. I'm still on the fence about this one (I've only been using it for about two weeks), but it gets easier to use every time I use it and I'm starting to warm up to it quite nicely. There really is a learning curve with this bar. As another reviewer stated this is NOT a traditional conditioner, don't expect it to feel slippery or to do any detangling, this is meant to condition over time (so one of the lush staff said on social media and I believe that). I have noticed that since switch to Lush bars I have seen a significant decrease in the amount of hair I lose in the shower. My hair feels just as good as when I use bottled products, so i will probably buy this product again. -

I really wanted to start being more conscious about the waste I create so, I decided to dive into solid toiletries. This is my first real attempt at using a Shampoo bar and I have to say that it has not been a bad experience. It has a great lather and it smells amazing.. Haha makes my whole bathroom smell like it constantly (if you don't like scented products, this is not for you, I repeat this is NOT for you. It has a fairly strong fragrance), so it's a good thing I enjoy the scent. I might try some of the other bars just to see what they're like, but I really enjoy this one and would 100% buy it again. -

Initially I went into Lush to get a Shampoo and conditioner bar, but then I wandered over to the facial cleansers and one of the staff there gave me the run down about what it was and how to use it. I decided to give it a go because why not? Turns out I actually REALLY love this product! It leaves my skin feeling cleansed and moisturized, while also helping to keep my acne at bay. So, if you're into oil cleansing or want to give it a go and have acne prone skin, give this a try, it's really great! Bonus: it's package free! -

Then you should look into Tree Hugger Cloth Pads. I was interested in trying cloth pads for at night because I use a cup during the day and I stumbled across the Tree Hugger website. After reading all the information available on their website I settled on the Bamboo Night pad. They're great, I'm so happy I tried them out! They're very absorbent and easy to care for. I feel like it did a better job than most of the disposables I've used. The one I bought is black, so I can't speak to staining or anything, but that's not really something that would bother me given the nature of the product, but they do sell stain remover. I haven't had any leaks yet and my periods aren't light. I would recommend taking the leap if you've ever been interested in cloth pads, it's worth it and the Tree Hugger Cloth Pads are well made and good quality! I feel they're fairly affordable when you take into consideration how much usage they'll get. I've already placed a second order because I love the first one I bought so much! -

I was looking for ways to further green things up period-wise and I stumbled across the Tree Hugger Cloth Pads website. The website has a lot of useful information on it about how to choose the right cloth pad for your needs, like pros and cons of different fabrics, how to care for them, what makes them so absorbent, etc... There are different three fabric types to choose from, there is a wonderful selection of prints to choose from and they make pads for all flows and also for incontinence. Tree Hugger also sells nursing pads and wet bags, also stain remover. The owners are super friendly and are quick to respond when you have any questions. It's just a great family owned Canadian company that's worth checking out. -

I love this tracker, BUT DON'T BRING IT SWIMMING (until this point I've taken it off every time that I've had showered and swam). It says swim-proof up to 50M, but I brought it into a pool when I was visiting my in-laws at their hotel and after that it seemingly just died. I contacted fitbit support and they suggested I put it in rice to try to dry it out, but I shouldn't have to do that at all if it's truly swim-proof, I guess I will see if it will bounce back.. Anyways, with the exception of this, it's a great tracker. I love that I can get my Notifications and silent alarms on it! -
