I read this book when I was 16, and have been a huge fan of Margaret Atwood ever since. A lot of people I know don't really like her writing style, but I love it. I find it's very simplistic and yet complex, and The Handmaid's Tale is no exception. I think what shocked me most about this book was when I came to the end of it and found out that what she had written about was actually based on real events.
This is a definite must read!

Located at 17 Baldwin Street, near Dundas and McCaul, Vegetarian Haven is by far my favourite place to go for veggie food. They have a huge menu with so many delicious things on it - I take forever deciding what to order whenever I go there. Plus they have daily lunch and dinner specials. The prices are pretty reasonable, the food is always delicious (and healthy!), and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I think my favourite thing about this place has to be the desserts. All of them are vegan, but they taste so good you can't even tell the difference. I almost always get the chocolate fudge cake, while my friend I usually go with is a fan of the 'cheese' cake.
The atmosphere is really cool and relaxed - if you go in the summer, try and get a seat on the patio. The inside, however, is just as nice. By the entrance there's a really pretty fountain, and it's decorated in a really earthy, romantic kind of way - brick walls, dim lighting, candles on the tables. I love this place and everyone should try it, whether you're vegetarian or not.

Cassis Rose eau de toilette by the Body Shop smells amazingly good. It's a little bit pricey (at least in my opinion - I hate spending money!) at $17 for a 30 ml bottle, but I love it so much that it doesn't really matter. As the name suggests, it smells like roses, but is not overpowering. It stays on your skin for a really long time, and the smell just makes me so happy!
They also come in a lot of other scents, including their newest one, Rougeberry - for every bottle that's bought, 100% of the proceeds go to HIV awareness/prevention programs. Vanilla and Oceanus also smell really nice.

If you're like me, be prepared to spend a lot, especially if it's your first time visiting - the first time I went I ended up spending $30, all of it on chocolate! It was worth every penny though.
I've been to two locations, the one at Yonge/Eglinton and the one in the Entertainment District - both are equally awesome.

I also love their ice cream - definitely not the best I've ever had, but still worth going back for. As well, they sell a lot of vegetarian stuff at Dominion - pretty pricey in my opinion, but so good that it's worth it! Try the nature wraps (I think that's what they're called) and the chili, and, of course, the nature burgers. -

I usually have a really hard time picking out a perfume I really like, I'm so indecisive and it seems like I can never just settle on one scent. However, that all changed when I bought Ralph. It smells AMAZING! Sort of fruity and flowery, but without being too strong. I'm a total girly-girl, and so usually the perfumes I tend to like, everyone else thinks are way too overpowering (i.e. Princess by Vera Wang). Ralph is perfect because although it is really girly, it's not too strong or headache inducing, which leaves everyone happy.
I bought mine at Sears for about $100, but it also came with a mini sample of Cool, a hand lotion also in Cool, and a really cute watermelon bag.
I LOVE this stuff!

I bought this stuff a few weeks ago, and it is SO much better than what Jergens makes! First of all, it is much easier to put it on evenly, it makes your skin feel really soft, and it actually gave me a natural looking 'tan.' Someone even asked me if I had been away on vacation! This stuff is amazing, and the best part is it's really cheap. I think I paid about $7 for it. -
I bought this a year ago because I hate looking pale in the winter. Let me tell you, BIG mistake. Not only did I find it impossible to put on evenly, even after I had let it dry for ten minutes it still got on my stuff! Oh, and the best part is is... +

Oh, and the best part is is that it turned my skin orange! After using it one time! I looked like a mild version of an oompa loompa - not exactly fun considering I did have to go out in public.

Grapefruit Moon is located in the Bathurst/Dupont area. They serve mostly vegetarian/vegan food, but have some non vegetarian stuff as well. It has a really cool, relaxed atmosphere - everyone who works there is really friendly. The food is super yummy too - great eggs, the vegan stuff is delicious - even if you eat meat you'll love it. My friend who I went there with said the salad that came with her meal was the best one she had ever had.
If you haven't been to Grapefruit Moon, what are you waiting for?

Also note that I said the price is a rip off...I didn't even pay to get in! lol
Seriously, avoid this place at all costs - the whole time I was there I was half expecting to get shot! It's really sketchy.
