I whole heartily recommend this product if you have a little one. I think this may be something I will be putting in baby shower gifts in the future.
I was skeptical at first when looking at options other than the snot sucking hard bulb to help my baby breathe better during his first cold, probably because this device has you (the adult) suck, like literally suck, the snot right from their nose into the bulb of the device via a tube connected to your (again the adult's) mouth. The thought is gross to say the least. However, listening to my little guy cough and sputter and try to breathe past the congestion, you kinda just do it. Like we parents do a lot of things, you just muster through it. I read the instructions first, which are fairly easy to comprehend, and went from there. Washing is with hot water and drying completely. You insert the filter and piece it together and there ya go. The most difficult part was using the easy dose vials to insert the drops in my son's nose. But you only need like 2 drops per side. Then the sucking begins. *shudders* (Remember there is a filter in place to stop any, dare I say it, boogies to get through.) I thought this process was going to be the hardest. Turns out my son didn't mind it at all. He held onto the tube but didn't really turn away just kind watched in amazement as the relief from congestion started. We did a second dose of drops afterwards and got any remainders left behind but all was said and done in a matter of 10 minutes. It was simple, and extremely effective. He is now happily playing with his toes and breathing easy. As am I now that I can hear him without the congestion. So to those who have read this far. I give you my praise as I am wordy, but I also praise this product for helping my little guy breathe easy.
One more note; the instructions state to throw out the filter after every use, upon my readings of other reviewers, some suggested that you don't need to as it doesn't get dirty most of the time. This was the case for me. You only get 5 in the package to begin with, but it didn't get dirty. Just the tip of the device was full for us. So I will be reusing. Waste not, right?

We bought this bottle as a last minute try with our 3 month EBF son. We had a funeral to attend and it was not a place for children. So in a matter of 2 days we tried 4 different bottles and nipples and this was the only one that seemed to keep him latched long enough to drink something. He still didn't latch on as much as we had hoped but it was enough for him to make it through 6 hours with only drinking 2 oz out of the 5 oz's that was pumped and ready for him. I would like to try the simply natural bottles and nipples in hopes that he can latch onto it a bit better. He does have a slight tongue tie so I don't know if that was the issue or not either. This bottle was cheap, like $6.99 for a 5 oz bottle and we found it at Independent. So worth spending on to try for anyone with a EBF little one. -

This Roots tent was bought 6 years ago at Canadian Tire. We have used it every year since our purchase. It has a lifetime repair warranty which we have used to repair a broken tent pole. This tent has done us wonders. In these 6 years we have expanded our family with a lab and two children and it still holds room for us all and more. We just had our biggest camping outing yet with a cot, a playpen and an air mattress fitted into our sleeping quarters. We also still had room for a dog bed, and 3 bags of clothing with room to still spare. We did not tarp over the tent and rain did come twice during our trip but still no leak. It's a little worn by the grommets on the bottom to hold the tent poles but aside from that it is a fantastic tent and well worth the money. It has enough room for my husband to stand in the middle and he is 5'11. Set up is easy as long as you remember the teardrop shape on top. We put a tarp under the tent to help with any potential sticks or sharp rocks we missed when picking our spot to set up. Always let your tent of any kind dry completely before packing away to prevent mold. It also helps to store your tent indoors for the winter off the ground. We hope anyone looking at this tent as a family purchase or just for the mere space will enjoy it just as much as our family has. -
I love the chocolate cheesecake with raspberry filling. I have yet to try the strawberry but the cherry is also really good. Its cheesecake without the prep work. Perfect for a tasty treat in lunches at work.

We purchased this car seat for my oldest. Before our year warranty was up we contacted costumer services about the pull strap fraying underneath the seat and catching in the mechanism and not making our son secure in the seat. Customer service was nice and gave us a second seat. However our second seat is doing the same thing and we are going through the same warranty issue. This seat is also extremely bulky and hard to install. I don't recommend it for smaller vehicles. We have a van and its still extremely bulky. The only thing we do like about it, my son likes how tall it makes him feel so he can see out the windows better. -

This has to be one of the biggest purchase and toughest purchase when you have a baby. My biggest advice is to do your research. This is my second stroller with my second son. I did no research when purchasing my first son's car seat and stroller and I hated it. It was bulky and awkward and we even traded in our car for a van to help fit everything bulky. This evenflo travel system is worth every penny. I love the bassinet feature as it comes in handy when we are out and about for extended periods of time. We have been to the beach and family parties with it and it keeps our little one out of a car seat and laying on his back peacefully without being on the floor. The bassinet also turns into a seat when they get bigger with a try and cup holder. You can flip them to face you or to face the world. With the bassinet on and in the seat position you can click your car seat into it and push the whole thing. My favourite feature about this stroller system is that the bassinet is removable from the frame. So instead of constantly using the bassinet when you need to go into the store for a few items you can just click your car seat directly onto the frame and go do things and put baby back into the base in the car when done without baby being woken up with a transfer from bassinet to car seat. It makes it easy on the days where you have multiple places you have to go. The material is rather durable and the basket underneath can hold up to 10lbs. I would recommend this to any new parent and have in person on occasion already. So worth every penny. -

The Haakaa Breast Pump is a simple pump for moms. I bought one when my second was only 3 weeks old. I was sore and engorged and upset about all my milk I had to express by hand either down the drain or into a bowl. I was recommended this pump by a nurse at my family doctors. I did my research and looked into reviews before buying it. Firstly the best part is that if it doesn't work for you, you didn't spend nearly $200 + on a pump. Its cheaper by far. For $20.00 for just the pump and $30.00 for pump and stopper you can't go wrong. Secondly, from the reviews I read some people bought the pump when baby was about 4 months or more. I bought this for when I needed relief. Not to pump exclusively. So using this from when baby was a newborn and my milk had not yet stabilized has help me make a stash of frozen milk. I still am currently using it but not as much as I was in the beginning days. Its nice if you want to pump and put it in a bottle right away for others to feed as well. I will say sometimes I need to help express to get more in the bottle but then other times I get more than I thought I had need to pump. I can usually gather anywhere from 2oz's to 4oz's at any pumping session. I believe in this pump. It's easy to clean, pain free, and no noise. Just be careful if you are breastfeeding baby at the same time. My little one likes to try and kick it off. You don't cry over spilled milk until its breast milk. -

I have had my boba wrap for nearly 4 years now. It has been used with two children and still in great condition. With our first I used it on occasion but loved when I did. With our second I use it so much more. I guess maybe the dynamics of having a preschooler who loves to be outdoors helps with the use. We use it all the time for walks and field trips with my oldest's daycare group. We had the best use for it on the second night in hospital with our second. Everyone is briefed on the second night but never given ideas on how to comfort baby. We used the boba wrap to help keep our newborn snug and safely on our chests in case we fell asleep. The design for the boba wrap isn't just for one gender. It is easily wearable by both and is extremely comfortable when put on. It takes the shape of the wearer's body. I can rave more about this but I think I have made my point. Love this wrap and can't wait to use it with our third baby one day. -

The original DQ cakes have to be a family favourite treat. We buy them for any occasion (sometimes even without an occasion) from either of our local DQ's in North Bay ON. Both services offer great customer service and will contact one another if you desire specific designs or blizzard cakes. Great idea for a cool birthday treat in the summer or if you are like me and have a winter birthday, just have your cake and eat it too. ;) -
