In my honest opinion, this particular formula isn't suitable for my normal/dry skin tone. While the pigments are super sheer and feel comfortable on the skin, it does not offer me the coverage that I need. I had to apply a primer -- to help absorb the excess oil in here -- concealer -- which I hardly ever use -- and apply a dusting of powder. Normally, I don't do all that, I just apply serum, foundation, sometimes a setting spray and go. The thought of having to add excess steps to my routine makes me feel like I'm wasting time. However, the new shade Alpine Rose, is a decent match for my fair, yellow skin tone. It's slightly on the pink side but the pigments did blend in without any reddish beige streaks. I feel if you have super, extreme dry skin in need of extra moisture and you're without any blemishes, then this would be fabulous for you, since the formula is really creamy and wet. Also, the amount of product inside the sponge doesn't seem like it would last as long as a liquid or cream foundation. The compact is gorgeous and complete with a large mirror. I love that you can buy a refill and pop it in without any problems. This helps save the gorgeous compact. I also love the feel of this make-up and the use of natural ingredients, it's just not something that I feel works on me.
