It's a good movie. Some scenes are difficult to watch. Chiwetel Ejiofor was really good.

This was a great movie, but at times it was really hard to watch. They did not shy away from showing the brutality of his circumstances. It is based on a true story, and I am glad they did not gloss over the hardships that he had to face

An amazing film about a free man who became a slave for 12 years. A true story based on the same title as the book. It will disturb some yet it is a moving story. It is an award winning film by English director Steve McQueen not the actor(he's been dead for over 30 years). Really powerful performances.
