When nails are not an option
I have used these and 3M velcro hangers in places where hammering nails into the wall is not an option (when there is electrical behind the drywall for example). They work perfectly on the aluminum siding of our trailer - which is one wall of our sunroom. Very strong and easy to remove if needed. I tried other knock-off brands but the quality is no where near the 3M versions.
No more tools
I have been using these to hang pictures around my house. I love that I don’t have to worry about hammering nails into my walls. They include extra paste strips which are useful if you have to readjust (which I usually do). I haven’t had any damage yet from removing them so it certainly lives up to its name. I do find them a bit expensive but they are definitely good quality.
Hit and Miss
I’ve been using these to hang EVERYTHING lately and will continue to buy them. But. In the last couple of packages, I’ve had strips that have lost their adhesive. Thankfully I haven’t had any pictures fall and break but I’d recommend testing them before letting go and stepping away from your picture.
Not easy removal
I have had issues since day one with this product. Just like I have seen removal is a pain. Pieces of wall come off with it. I though living in an apartment this would be great but I would rather hammer a hole in the wall and fix it after. Terrible product.
Save your Walls!
3M has saved my walls! I use command hooks for hanging everything! Whether it's stockings and garland at Christmas, or hanging up my children's artwork or school pictures, Command Hooks are a life saver!
Damage Free? I beg to differ
I've been a loyal and happy customer of 3Ms since fall of 2015. I loved their "damage free" plastic wall hooks. I also know how to read and follow instructions. Well...recently I applied their big hooks on my wall to hang a picture. I had to remove the hook after for readjustment. When I went to remove it...by gently pulling the gummy glue like material like I always have for 3 years now. It took a chunk of dry wall with it. I was outraged because I rent an apartment and now I have to pay for damages when I move. I emailed 3M and told them what happened. They replied with condescending instructions on how to remove the hooks and a refund on a product I bought a few years ago. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt.
Great way to hang things!
I bought 3M command hooks to make a Christmas photo tree. I didn’t want to put holes in my wall, when they would only be up temporarily. They stuck really well to the wall and were very to put up. They’re still on the wall now. They’re a great price as well. I would definitely recommend them for hanging items without making holes in the wall!
meh
I do not like these at all. All the ads say they wont wreck your walls and they are 100% safe, which is a lie. Its just not a good feeling when a company straight out lies. My roommate was using these in our kitchen at the house we used to live in, and they ripped the paint right off the wall. They were on the wall for less than a month.
Good item
I'm not allowed to hang pictures with nails or tacks at my apartment so these were really useful for me. They're pretty quick and easy to use. They've held up my pictures with no issues except that the hook itself is a bit big so you can only hang up certain kinds with them, but i suppose that's an easy fix, just an extra step. Unlike cheaper brands they have a strip you can pull down on so they don't leave holes when you try to remove them. Best kind I've found so far.
I love these. Particularly for use in my apartment where I don't want to put holes in the walls that will need to be fixed later. I was skeptical at first thinking they would fall down but they have been staying strong for months now. What an ingenious product. I have tried knockoffs to the 3M products trying to save money but they did not work as well.
