I would have to say that this is the number one product for cold sore that money can buy.It is very expensive to purchase.Where I come from it costs almost twenty dollare. It is only a very small tube but, when using you only need to put very little on the tip of your finger, and in a couple of days, wholla!!!!!cold sore gone.Use it only two to three times daily.I swear by this because I have tried it and it really does work.Asmall tube like this can last for a very long time so what you pay for Abreva,it\s definately worth it.

I recently got an ugly cold sore on the top of my lips but didn't catch it early enough. I heard really high rating on this product and I gave it a try yesterday and hope it will make a difference. Today is my second day. I hope it will be gone by tomorrow as I heard the fastest healing time is 2.5 days. Still in progress but I'll update later.

Got a good coupon in the mail for this and decieded to try it. I get cold sores about 6 times a year, when I am tired, or sick and just don't have my immune system working they way it should be. If you can get it on when you first feel the tingle it shortens healing time by 2-3 days and, for me, it keeps the sore from drying out and cracking/bleeding...which slows down healing a great deal. I buy it when it goes on sale so I have a tube at work, at home and in my purse. I'll never get caught without it when I feel that first tingleing sensation!

My boyfriend introduced me this, and I was a bit skeptical at first...I get something like a cold sore on my chin once in awhile when I don't get enough sleep or have too much on my plate. I started using this and although it doesn't make it go away right away, it does make it go away faster, maybe instead of 6-7 days, it makes it go away in 4-5.

The price is around $20, if you have an SPC card you can buy it from Rexall for 10%.

This is my go-to when cold sores pop up. If you catch them early enough, it definitely works better. It speeds healing, but it can still take a while for the sore to go away, so I would probably still be open to trying other products if I got a cold sore again, but abreva is the best I've found so far.

Everyone agrees: cold sores are the worst.

I tend to get cold sores once a year and Abreva really helps speed up the process! I try to apply it as soon as I start to feel that tingle, which cuts down the severity. It's fairly expensive for such a small product, but it works and should last you a long time.

Just before Christmas I received an unwanted early Christmas present in the forum of a cold sore, YUCK! I haven’t had a cold sore in years and couldn’t believe it was happening to me at this time of year. I happened to have a coupon for $4 off of Abreva, so even though I don’t like spending this much money on something I’ve never tried before, I bought some. The tube is only 2 grams in size, but you use such a small amount that this should last you a long time even if you do get cold sores often. Abreva contains 10% docosanol that helps to protect the surrounding healthy cells from the cold sore infection. Its FDA approved to shorten the healing time and the duration of your symptoms such as tingling, pain, burning and itching. I noticed a difference in the feel of my cold sore right away. All of the awful symptoms I just mentioned seemed to stop and I felt much more comfortable. The next day I could tell just by looking at it that it was starting to heal and not get any bigger. With in a few short days it was well on its way to being gone for good! Even though Abreva does cost more then I normally like to pay for products like this, I was definitely happy that I did this time. If you get cold sores often or one just happens to surprise you one day, then I’d definitely recommend you pick up some Abreva at the first little tingle you feel. It truly did work for me and I’m sure it will help you as well.
