Keen on Kibble
I received this as a gift for my dog Rascal. Very high quality dog food. He devoured them. Super healthy. No additives or fillers. Highly recommend. I canât specifically comment on the taste, so weâll have to take Rascalâs word đ¶
Good quality ingredients
We have two dogs - one of which is a rescue we adopted as a senior. We have always bought Acana food because it was recommended to us and we have never had an issue with it. The rescue had some skin issues but after switching her to Pacifica they cleared up. Her coat is very soft now as well. I will continue to buy Acana products.
Great Healthy Dog Food!
I really like this dog food because our dog had many allergies and this was a wonderful alternative that was very healthy and kept him in great shape. Now we have another dog and are using the same brand. Highly recommend.
Not sure how I feel.
To be honest, I loved this brand of food for my dog. I read that itâs one of the top dry foods for dogs In Canada, and for the price I figured it should be. My dog is very picky, and I havenât been able to get her to eat just kibble without putting some sort of wet food in it, even with this brand (no matter the flavour).
We kept buying this brand until one day I saw an article on how it had a certain chemical in it which wasnât actually advertised or disclosed on any of the bags ingredients lists, and that completely changed my mind on this food. How can you charge so much, and claim itâs the very best food but not disclose that it has a certain chemical that isnât actually too good for your pets. Mind you I canât remember the the exact chemical because it was awhile ago but I believe it started with a T and was an acronym for something.
The article I read stated that it was found and they admitted it in the US, so I just assumed it was same for Canada because there was no difference in the American and canadian Acana brand.
While every other ingredient seems very good, I canât support a brand that lies and fails to mention the use of a chemical in their products. Especially when they claim to be one of the best, and charge an arm and a leg.
Great quality!
My six month old puppy does very well on this food! She has been very healthy and growing at a healthy rate. She gets excited to eat this food and doesn't pay attention to table scraps because she is so in love with this flavour. I highly recommend this brand and flavour for other dogs.
Confident feeding this to my dogs
Acana dog food is my all time favourite but the Pacifica flavour specifically. We have rescue dogs, and I volunteered for a pet shelter for years. Acana donated food to our shelter pups and were so kind!!! The food is high quality and a decent price point. Being a single mom I find it hard to buy expensive dog food but get this as often as I can (or mix with a cheaper brand). Many retailers offer a loyalty program as well where you get a bag free after buying so many! Go try this today, you wonât be disappointed.
Dog APPROVED
Great dog food! Fits well into my dogs life style since they have allergies so we only do fish based food. Itâs a bit steep when I am feeding two large breed dogs and smells horrible but thatâs come to be expected with fresh dog food!
Awesome Food
If you want an amazing food, Acana is the food for your dogs. After trying a lot of foods for my 2 dogs (1 is 20lbs and other is 45lbs) i tried Acana and have't looked back. Both my dogs love the food, no matter what kind we get them they love it. Its also great to know that it is a good Canadian made brand, one that does't have any recalls.
A favorite for our dog
Our dog has been eating ACANA for 7 years now and she won't eat anything else. She's a Shepherd/Husky mix, dual coat breeds. The Pacifica line helps give her those omegas that her skin and coat need to stay healthy. In the winter months, we even add a little salmon oil for the extra benefit.
It's a stinky dog food (fishy), heads up!
