No longer the gold standard

Ace lost their mojo long ago. Sure, they still make a decent sourdough boule and multigrain loaf but they destroyed their whole-wheat recipe 2 years ago and their baguette - often frozen and thawed at store - is doughy and bland and lacks snap. Moreover, save some cash - most of Ace bread can be bought at No Frills under their "Boulanger" brand. If you are looking for well crafted bread and a real baguette then: Blackbird Bakery, Petite Thuet and Goute are all heads above. I mean not even close.

I love bread. It's my friend and my enemy but I love it! Especially great tasting bread from Ace bakery. It is always fresh and their baguettes are so good with fresh soup or dipped into pasta sauce. We go through one or two baguettes a week in my home because it is so tasty!

The only kind of bread-product that I eat!

Ever since I tried the ACE Bakery baguette, I have been buying it regularly and it has replaced my other breads that I would previously buy. It's so delicious! I especially appreciate the fact that this is a non GMO product.
It tastes the best on the first day when fresh, but can be easily warmed up in the oven on the following day and enjoyed warm & crispy. Tastes great with jam, peanut butter, tuna salad, cold cut meats or just plain butter!

Omg... these are to die for. I purchased the Aged Cheddar one and they are so yummy. I bit pricey to be buying on a regular basis but they taste amazing.

These are always so fresh when I buy them at Superstore and always the right price, if you come in after dinner time they're usually getting rid of the bread from the day before and you can get these bad boys half price. great with soup, snack with butter, cheese or peanut butter, or plain!

This bread is mmmm.. OH SO DELICIOUS ! I recommend all of their products, especially their olive oil & sea salt bread crisps:)

I am a huge fan of these baguettes, I buy them when I am in a time crunch and don't have time to make bread. It has the most amazing texture crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Good for dipping in a bowl of soup.

I like these baguettes. They're crusty on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and oh so delicious. I like having them alongside pasta dishes.

A great baguette, but could be crustier. Just a bit too doughy for me.

I can't say enough about this superior tasting baguette. The outside is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. It is so incredibly flavourful and airy. It can accompany so many meals and is perfect for spreads and hors d'oeuvres. Well worth purchasing for your next get together.
