I've read the other review ppl have provided and I must say, I'm shocked by the amount of problems. Windows 8 I will agree is not the greatest but that has nothing to do with the laptop. I've never had a problem with mine. Touch screen works great, love the backlit keyboard and it does everything I need. I only with the battery life was longer

I bought my Acer Aspire laptop 4 months ago and experienced problems within the first week. The keypad stopped working, the cursor disappeared and I had to buy a mouse to be able to continue using my laptop. Also, it is supposed to have a long battery life but like every other computer, it dies within 2 hours even if you charge it all day long. I had no further problems until a month ago when my speakers started to fail, and my computer would slow right down if I had 2 or more tabs opened. I am still on a quest to find a good laptop.

Touch screen makes the display like a mirror. Unable to use in any time of sun light. Windows 8 is a nightmare.
To end on a good point, the keyboard lights up.
