This product is actually one of the better acne systems I have used. It works and the price is affordable compared to other top brands! Only thing is I usually have to use a little extra moisturizer but that's okay :)
Move over Proactive, the AcneFree 3 step system is just as good (if not better) and for a fraction of the price! I suffered mild to moderate acne from the time I was 9, until I started using the Acne Free 3 step system at 30. It takes a couple weeks for you to really start noticing a difference, it needs time to get all that deep down yuck out of your skin and for the acne you already have to clear up, after that it's perfect skin 100% of the time!
My daughter got this for Christmas and had very horrible acne. After a couple of days you could already see the difference and she loves this. It don't leave her skin feeling icky and it smells pretty decent (her words not mine)
I bought this kit because it came with a free cleansing brush. Also I got the sensitive skin one, so it has less benzoyl peroxide than the regular one. The scent isn't too strong, and I feel like the acne medication really does work without overdrying my skin. The downside is I have to wear the same shirt to bed every night because I end up with bleach marks from the benzoyl peroxide.
My face has decided to go zit crazy lately and I was desperate for a complete system to stop the pimple madness! I decided to try Acnefree as I had heard it was similar to ProActive but cheaper. (Always a bonus).
The pros of this system are that it worked for me after about a week and a half of using it! My complexion has cleared up immensely.
A couple cons were that it dried my skin out BIG TIME. Even though it comes with a moisturizer I still had to use another one on top of it. The other thing I didn't enjoy was the burning sensation for the first few days as my skin got used to it.
I paid $26.99 for it and even though there were a couple things I didn't like about it I would still recommend this to anyone who is sick of acne issues! It did the job for me :)
I tried the Acne Free system (Normal Formula) a while ago thinking it would have the same effects as Proactiv, but at a cheaper price (I paid $30 CAD). I wanted to get rid of blemishes that would appear in the T-Zone, so I decided to give it a try. It is a three step system which contains the ingredient benzoyl peroxide which is supposed to help eliminate the acne and impurities that lie underneath. The kit comes with a Purifying Cleanser, a Renewing Toner, and a Repair Lotion.
I used this product for the duration of approximately 3-4 months without seeing any significant change or improvement. I still continued to get breakouts and it actually made my skin feel itchy and very dry. I did use a moisturizer to hydrate my skin, but I expected the repair lotion to do that. The Repair Lotion smelled so bad I could not take the chance of applying it to my skin before I headed out the door every morning. Therefore, I would have to apply it at night, but I still noticed a lingering odor on my skin the next day. I also found the bottles to be very small in size.
If you have moderate to severe acne, this will not get rid of it (especially if you have cystic acne). I regret not having purchased Proactiv to begin with. I won't be considering this product again. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
I am 22 years old and I have has bad acne since I can remember. I have tried so many different brands of acne systems from Clean & Clear to Neutrogena. I was about to try Pro-Activ, but I came across this system on http://www.well.ca for $30. I decided to try it because you don't need to join a club like you do with Pro-Activ. I'm so glad I did. It's amazing! Nothing else have cleared my acne this well. I've been using it for about 6 months now and I have NO acne! The price is a little steep, but it's worth every penny!
This is truly a great product. I switched from Proactive after 6 years and found this to be just as good but at a better price.
It kept my skin clear and didn't dry it out.
I only wish you could buy the toner and the cream separately because I use those up quicker than the cleanser.
I have tried a bunch of cleansers and nothing seemed to really work. I didn't want to try proactive because I heard that it bleaches some peoples' faces. This stuff really worked on my skin. I get a lot of pimples sround my chin area and since using the cleanser, toner and cream I have had maybe 2 or 3! I have been using it for about a month. The price however, not the best deal. $30 for 2 small containers and a 3rd that is even smaller. It will prpbably last me 3 months. I don't think its a great price but it works for me so I will buy it again!
i have very dry skin i do everything i can to keep it from flaking this product really helped with the acne but it made my face even dryer so i had to stop using it...... not for dry skin
