I received Acnefree Oil-Free Cleanser for free from the product review club at Chickadvisor. I appreciated getting a full size product to test out.

First off, I don't care for the packaging. I prefer the pump system and AcneFree is a pop up style cap. You press on one side and the opening spout pops up on the other side. I find it takes a lot of force to open. Although this does make it handy for travel as there's no way it can open and leak.

The strength of the benzoyl peroxide is definitely not as strong as other acne medications at only 2.5%, compared to 5% in other acne cleansers. I do like that it has ceramides to help hydrate your skin, but I also think the product should include salicylic acid. Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide combined can be the most effective treatment against acne.

I have very fair skin so I did the recommended once a day application, rather than twice a day. I found the AcneFree cleanser made my skin feel a little bit tight, even after applying Cerave lotion to my face. And the smell is pretty medicinal and smells strongly of peroxide. But I have smelled worse.

I have mild acne that seems mostly hormonal. Since pregnancy and after giving birth I don't find my face as oily as it once was. After using AcneFree Oil Free Cleanser I haven't seen much improvement in my complexion. In fact I had a few new pimples pop up since using this cleanser. So "acnefree" I am definitely not (which is a pretty bold claim anyway for a company to say).

I do like the price point of AcneFree, but I've yet to see it in any local stores (I'm in Ontario, Canada). So I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a hold of if I wanted to purchase it. So while I don't think this is the best acne cleanser, I do recommend it for the average consumer on a budget and interested in a more mild formula with a weaker strength of benzoyl peroxide.

I'll give an update when my husband starts using it as he has more severe acne than me.

I received this product for free as part of the Product Review Club.
I still get adult acne, particularly at that time of the month, and have occasional breakouts or clogged pores on my T-zone.
I like that it's a well-priced cleanser with an amount of benzoyl peroxide (2.5%) that is not overly drying. I tend not to like acne cleansers since they usually strip my skin, but I didn't find that with this product. You do need to be careful and use white/light colored towels since this can bleach them. Consistency is good. My skin has been quite clear while using this and I haven't had any irritation. It seems to be a good maintenance cleanser to keep acne at bay. The only thing I don't really like is that I can't use this around my eye area to remove makeup.

I was one of the lucky ones to be selected to try AcneFree Oil-Free Acne Cleanser as part of the Product Review Club and boy am I glad ! This is an amazing cleanser which has cleared up my stubborn acne to a great extent! And finally I can see my skin n not a crop of zits lol! I have had no problems whatsoever n trust me my skin is quite temperamental! I would definitely recommend this to my friends as if it works on my skin type it would have to be a terrific product!Thank you !

Im really hooked to this product. After using it for about two weeks i noticed the difference my skin looks smoother and softer my pores are minimized and my acne is cleared up.I love the lightness of the formula and its not oily which is a must for me having oily skin i totally recommend this! Thanks to chickadvisor for the opportunity to try this amazing products for for a chance to love my skin again!#

I love this product my son had acne really bad and after using this product his face is clear and he has sensitive skin and it didn't irritate his skin at all.I will definitely be buying this product again for him to keep his skin clear of any acne.

I am very pleased with this product and can see the difference. For a person with sensitive skin this is great. Does not clog pores with the cream cleanser which impressed me, even have my teens loving it. Would reccomend to anyone who asks!

I didn't see any difference in my skin, except that this product made my face feel tight and dry.

I received this product to try for free. I used it for about a week or so now. I haven't noticed any obvious changes in my skin. The cleanser is relatively mild I would say, would totally recommend for sensitive skin. Overall it is an average face cleanser, nothing spectacular.

Unfortunately my skin didn't take well to it. It made it feel tight and red after rinsing. Because of this issue I used it once more to see if it was different, it wasn't. So for me, I can't use it to give a proper review except if you have sensitive skin it may make your skin red and tight. :(

I tried this product as park of the product review club.
I am someone who has tried multiple products for skin care/acne and this is ranked in my top 3 for acne products.
Pro's - I feel my skin is more clear and even has a bit more of a glow to it. I also did not get any new pimples while using AcneFree
Con's - left my face feeling dry. For the first week, I dealt with it; I assumed that it was because my face was crystal clean of acne bacteria. I wanted to give the product an honest chance. Eventually after about half hour of washing my face (enough time for it to air dry) I applied a lightweight moisturizer.

I definitely think I will continue to use AcneFree
