I received Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review.

First, let me start out by saying a few words about Adrien Gagnon brand. I am originally from Québec, currently living in Ontario. Adrien Gagnon is a very good, reliable and respected brand that offers all kinds of supplements as well as diet products for what is usually a lower price than similar brands, but without it affecting the quality of the product. I do not believe it is a very popular brand in the rest of the country and I personally have had trouble finding the products in stores in Ottawa. Fortunately, I see that it is now possible to order online from the company's website and I fully intend to do that. I had already tried those bars before, as well as the Super Energex, but was still really happy to be given a chance to try them again since they are a bit harder to find in Ontario.

I have to say I am a big fan of those bars. I used to diet a lot when I was younger and Adrien Gagnon's meal substitute bars were always the best available on the market and I am confident that they still are today. I have also used them in the past when I didn't have time to eat breakfast or was looking for something quick and filling to have at work while working without fearing spilling soup into my keyboard or picking up the phone with salad dressing on my hands. I admit it, I am quite the sloppy eater and I don't see it changing in my 40s so a quick and "clean" meal substitute bar can be a good solution for me when I lack time to eat something more nutritious and less processed.

The Decadent Fudge flavour is a safe bet for chocolate lovers. The bars are quite rich and sweet so some people may want to try other Adrien Gagnon flavours, as these are on the sweeter side. The bars are definitely filling and tasty so they "deliver". Right now, I am undergoing pretty heavy medical treatments and I often find myself unable to eat real food and keep it down so the bars can really help on more difficult days. I sometimes eat one half and keep the rest for later so I think that for people who are going through something similar, these bars could be an option. I find that liquid meal substitutes are not as filling.

Please keep in mind that those bars are meant to be a meal replacement. They are not to be used as a protein bar for a snack during the day to give you a boost of energy, that is just not what they are for. Also, when it comes to taste and texture, I think they are the best. Again, they are the best against other similar products, not against a "decadent fudge" dessert in a 5-star restaurant or a 10-course tasting menu in a fancy French bistro. My point is these are meal substitute bars: yes, they are a bit chalky and a bit chewy, but in my humble opinion, they are a lot less chalky and chewy than most and they taste better. I consider that I give fair reviews by not comparing oranges and apples.

Would I recommend them? Absolutely. I would tend to recommend them more as a quick occasional meal replacement when eating in a rush than I would for a diet. I think that eating a bar is better than skipping a meal entirely, but if you are dieting, replacing two meals a day by bars might make you feel deprived. As far as my needs are concerned, I will definitely order more and in different flavours too because I fully trust the brand.

I got the chance to try the Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars free from the Chick Advisor product review club. I was skeptical that it would satisfy my hunger but it actually did, and kept me hunger-free from lunch until dinner. I did find the bar was too rich and chocolatey to eat a whole one, and in fact only managed to eat 3/4 of a bar. Nevertheless it satisfied my hunger for many hours. Even though it worked I would not buy them because it wasn't an enjoyable way to get my protein, vitamins and minerals. Perhaps if it came in another flavour I would be more inclined to buy it.

I really was excited to give this product a test at this weekends dance comp. We don't get a ton of time to eat especially as a Dance Mom so it was good to know I could have a bar in replace of a meal and still get the vitamins that I needed.

The product taste good and the consistency/mouth feel was much better then most of the other bars like this I have tried. I liked the crunch factor in it... it did feel like I was eating a lot and it did fill me up despite being a 'small' meal... gave me what I needed to keep going and for that I will defiantly buy it again

I was sent this product free from Chickadvisor to try out. Loved the taste of these bars didn't find them overly sweet didn't have an odd after taste or taste chalky. They kept me going through the day working 2 jobs it's not always easy to have meals in between, these bars have been the perfect solution. I would definitely recommend them!

I was sceptical of these bars at first because in my experience meal replacement bars usually either taste bad, have extremely high fat contents or are not filling at all, but not true of these bars! These bars were really tasty, filling, and have a pretty low fat content! When considering the cost of the meals they replace these bars are also extremely affordable! Would definite recommend and I am so glad i recorded as a sample to try!

I received these bars to try from Chick Advisor. I am not usually a fan of meal replacement but being a busy mom during the day to two kids under 4 and balancing working in the evening I don't get to eat supper until 10pm. So these bars are my lifesaver and waist saver as I don't grab drive thru on my way to work. I eat one bar which actually tastes pretty good when I get to work at 4pm and I feel satisfied until I get off work and can go home to eat. It curbs my need to snack on vending machine food and fast food so I would say it's a new must stockpile for my work drawer. I hope to see more flavours too!

Having decided to eat one meal replacement bar to see how long I could go without eating again, "shocked" would be an understatement. I didn't need to eat again until 6-8 hours later. So, yes, they will keep you satisfied. Also, having all those vitamins, nutrients and minerals in them helps. Especially the high protein content (as protein keeps you satisfied). At first the taste kind of threw me, it felt like I was eating Styrofoam, however, after the second one, it wasn't too bad after all. Being the chocolate lover that I am, they were a tad bit rich for me. But they were good nonetheless. If the price came down a couple of dollars, and/or they added a sixth bar in the package, I would probably buy these a couple times a month. Overall, this product gets my recommendation to others.

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of another protein bar. The others aren't satisfying, leave me hungry and taste kind of odd. However, I was very happy to keep eating this one! It actually tastes like fudge and doesn't leave you hungry. It was a few hours before I noticed I was hungry again. Love the protein factor. I will definitely buy these! I got the chance to try the Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars free from the Chick Advisor product review club and I wasn't impressed. I found the bars were almost too rich to eat a whole one in one sitting & they tasted a bit chalky. The taste alone was not something I'd buy again.

I received this product for free from Chickadvisor as part of the product review club. The taste was very delicious. I liked the flavour is was very appealing. I used it for a meal replacement and it kept me full for a few hours. I have tried other meal replacement bars in the past and these are much better. I definitely recommend this product to everyone.
