I found the bar to be quite sugary as I would prefer a bar to taste a bit healthier, when it contains healthy ingredients. It was a bit hard to eat the entire bar just because it was so sweet. I did find that the bar did make me feel quite full and I was able to go without more food for a while. I don't think this would be considered a meal replacement as I was hungry again in half the time it would take if I had eaten an actual meal. It's a good snack to eat when you're hungry and in a hurry. I just wish the bar wasn't so sweet.

I was sent this product free from Chick Advisor to review. The bar tasted really great and was very filling, as someone who are it when I was hungry I found myself full afterwards. The only thing I found was that the bad contained a lot of sugar and if this could be reduced it would be better. However I would definitely recommend this product to others!

Although this bar didn't taste like a decadent brownie, it definitely works as a meal replacement for sure! I didn't care a ton for the texture of it, but it still tasted fairly good for being a meal replacement bar. It came in super handy when I didn't have time to eat breakfast but still had to take my kids to school and do all the fun adulty things I need to do in a morning. Overall, I found this kept me full for a super long time which no other meal replacements have. I would for sure recommend this to a friend but I would wait for them to be on sale or look for savings off coupons because these seem to be a tad more costly than a regular meal replacement bar.

Chick Advisor sent me these bars to review, for free. The taste of these bars were excellent. It tasted like eating a rich decedent chocolate bar, instead of a meal replacement bar. Even though this bar is a meal replacement, they're very high in calories but I guess if you eat them for the intended purpose of skipping a meal it isn't that bad. I price of these bars are average. Most energy bars cost about $2- 3 and these fall right in the middle with a price of $2.49. They're great if your on the go and can't or don't want to stop for fast food. I would recommend these bars to those who are looking for a good energy or meal replacement bar. I wouldn't purchase them unless they're on sale though. The price is a bit more then I want to pay.

I received these bars to try for free from ChickAdvisor. I really love the taste of these bars, so delicious. I felt like I was having a treat, even though the bar itself was not sugary. It was incredibly filling, though it was not too dense, as some meal replacement bars can be. It had a good texture, easy to chew and digest. It kept me full and also gave me a pick me up.

I had the privilege of trying these bars as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I've used meal replacement shakes and bars before and was ready to critique these bars. First, these bars are quite "meaty" and big, which already gave the impression of a filling meal =) They're also quite nutritious based on the % nutrition information. Most importantly, the taste won me over. Other bars and shakes often have a mediciny taste to them, but these were not only good, the rich chocolate tasted like a treat. The weight management aspect of these were a big bonus. A great job on the overall product, nutrition and taste!

I am ALL about convenience-but I'm really all about eating well. These bars are what I would deem 'your standard' protein bar. Dense, solid. It tastes good-I'm not dying over them and they aren't a must but they are a NICE to have. I love popping them in my work bag so when my 3pm vending machine craving kicks in, I can suppress it with this. Thank goodness I'm a chocoholic-these work for me. Will I purchase them again? Quite possibly. I usually eat 1/2 the bar as a snack. Thanks to the product review club for sending to me!

I received this product to test and review from Chickadvisor. I must say these actually taste pretty good! I usually skip breakfast because I just don't have the time or an appetite in the morning. Ii have tried several meal replacement because I don't want to starve myself but they taste really bad so I ditch them pretty quick. These bars actually taste pretty good so I think this might be my new on the go breakfast. They do help me stay pretty full for a long time. (which is great) maybe it will help me shed some pounds. :) I would recommend this if you like chocolate and don't always have the time to eat a full meal. This will help you get through the day. :)

I received this product for free as part of a ChickAdvisor campaign. The bar certainly has some heft to it in size. I was quite surprised how heavy it felt when I lifted it. It also had a definite and enticing scent of chocolate which did appeal to the chocolate lover in me. The outer milk chocolate coating is of good quality and definitely tasted delicious. I also loved the texture of the inside of the bar. It reminded me of fudge mixed with crisp rice. The main issue I saw was the quite obvious after taste this bar has. If you consume a fair bit of protein products like shakes with protein powder, you may not even notice it as an issue. If you are not someone who consumes such products this after taste may be unappealing to you. I would liken it to the sort of after taste many products that contain protein powder have. The product was effective at satisfying hunger for approximately 2 and a half to three hours for me. You should budget in healthy snacks to go along with this if you use it as a meal replacement as it may not lasted four or five hours till your next scheduled meal. Overall it is a decent product with a taste that did appeal to my chocololic tendencies but may not appeal to yours if you are not a regular user of these sorts of health products.

The first few bites, I wasn't pleased with the taste. It was a bit overpowering with its chalk-like cocoa flavour that didn't exactly remind me of "decadent" fudge. It took me two full bars to finally convince myself that it was good.
That being said: The bar performed exactly as promised on the packaging. I especially liked the Nutriforme Weight Management Program with the suggested diet meal plan and great health tips. That colorful and really informative sheet found itself a permanent spot on my fridge.
My kitten had major surgery this week to repair a serious and nearly fatal birth defect. All week while tending to him, I haven't had time to cook myself a proper meal. Eating one bar a day in about the mid-afternoon with a tall glass of water really held me over til the late evening when I get the chance to whip up a quick bite while my fur-baby is crashed out on his pain meds. (PS - the sheet actually helped me remember to drink water this stressful week ~ Thanks Adrien Gagnon!)
As a diet strategy or meal replacement tool, I'd totally recommend the Adrien Gagnon bars. They are more filling than meal replacement drinks. Just ignore the part where it claims to be "decadent fudge" and you'll love what the product can do for you.
