These bars are ok. I have had better. They taste a little chalky in my opinion. But it was a definitely a great opportunity to try a new product.

I received this product free from chick advisor to try and I have to say I was excited to try it! Now that I just started to work out I thought this would be a good product for my life style...busy! I had to do some research on the ingredients: copper and sulfate...some mixed reviews. I also wasn't crazy about the taste...after taste yuck! How ever my husband seemed to liked them because it ate the test of them.

I found that these were incredibly filling and in turn I do feel that they live up to their claims about ingesting less calories by using them as meal replacements. However, they taste awful and I would much rather eat a meal or ingest more calories. They are like every other protein bar with their chalky consistency. I would not purchase these again as they are expensive and there are much better alternatives out there.

I did enjoy the bars but found them a little chalky. The bars are a good size and fairly heavy, so does seem like it would be satisfying.... they were!

I unfortunately , could not eat the entire bar in one sitting as they were very rich and filling.

There were to few of them to truly see if it assists with weight loss. Overall, they were satisfactory and I would consider buying them again if I had a coupon and they were on sale.

I don't normally like protein bars but I liked this one!
I had half a bar in the morning and wasn't hungry until lunch time which is rare, lol

I thought the taste was so-so, better than others I have tasted.
Great to keep in purse for a quick snack.

I've never had meal replacements bars specifically, I do sometimes have energy bars or granola bars as a meal on the odd occasion.

The flavour was alright for something that is geared for lower calories. It was chocolaty from the coating, The main issue I had with the flavour is it has an artificial after taste which isn't very nice The texture was not great, I'm not a huge fan of the grittiness that high protein bars have. This one had a bit of the gritty texture due to the protein powder, it isn't as bad as others I have tried but I'm not a huge fan of it so I tend to stay away from protein bars.

In regards to curbing cravings and hunger. Hunger wise I guess it works if you eat it when you are hungry. I usually ate this as a replacement for breakfast and I still got hungry around the same time for lunch so it wasn't different than eating a normal breakfast. I will note I tend not to eat a large breakfast. Fullness wise, I did find it fairly filling. It's quite dense so I did find it made me feel a bit sluggish actually if I ate it too quickly. For cravings, I'm not on a strict diet, I would say calorie conscious in terms of what I am eating throughout the day and not go over 1700cal. Since I don't deprive myself I don't generally have many cravings. Would this be satisfying as a chocolate bar replacement? I guess but honestly most chocolate bars are around 260cal so unless you are doing a low carb diet I would go for regular chocolate.

Energy wise, about the same as normal. I didn't notice it giving me more energy. If I ate the bar too fast I found I felt a bit sluggish since it's quite heavy.

Overall would I recommend it? Not really, the taste wasn't great and it didn't stave off any hunger pains any more than regular food. There is no way that you could replace 2 meals with 1 bar unless you rationed it over the course of the day (but you would still be hungry).

I received these bars as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I was looking forward to trying these as I like to have a back up bar in my purse when I'm on the go. The taste of these bars were just ok, I couldn't imagine replacing a meal with these, I wouldn't be satisfied. The bars are a good size but I didn't enjoy it. I will stick to my usual protein bar that has more protein in it and tastes much better.

I liked these bars, they tasted good and had lots of protien in them. They also had a good texture.

They did not replace my lunch though, I ate one at 1 and was starving and hangry by 4. I think they are great but no way a meal replacement.

They do taste a lot like other bars on the market, I think a bit better. I would consider eating half as a mid day snack.

I was not expecting these bars to be as dense as it was. Take into account that I have never tried meal replacement bars before. I was always skeptical of meal replacement bars, and this didn't help. I wouldn't try again.

I found these to be pretty standard for meal replacement bars in terms of taste, and texture. In other words, there's that funky taste that I can't quite pinpoint, and they're like chewing a rubber shoe. Also, they were quite large, and it was a pain to have to eat that much.

I don't feel that they were very effective in terms of appetite suppressant, nor adding energy. I was left rebounding and craving sweets to make up for whatever was lacking in the bar, vs. my normal meals.

Overall, with the pricepoint, not particularly tasty, not particularly unique, and not so effective, I would not recommend these bars.
