My skin is perpetually dry but prone to blemishes; I am searching for a moisturizer that quenches dryness while promoting clear skin. The Ahava Smoothing Moisturizer comes in another formula for "Very Dry Skin", but I decided to try this formulation first. My initial results were promising--the scent is nice, the texture light, and my cheeks felt like silk. Within a few hours I noticed that the product had ostensibly resisted sinking in or evaporating, remaining happily on top of my skin. It created an slightly oily appearance and seemed to do very little to truly soften my skin. While it did not cause any blemishes, it also didn't ameliorate dryness. I eventually gave up on this product and am now using the rest of it as a hand cream.

It moisturizes well, leaving skin soft, but without a residue.
