    A collection piece

I bought this for myself a few months ago, The falcon has amazing control and stability, The navigation is intricate yet surprisingly easy to operate, When not in use this is definently a display piece I have in the shadow box, Recommended

I would not receommnd this product. Given the price the product is easily breakable and doesn't even work properly. We tried about three times and have had better luck flying paper planes.

I've heard people rave about how amazing Air Hogs products are and I know they're pretty popular. So as a massive Star Wars fan, when I saw this on sale for $15, I had to snap it up. This has been a heartbreaking experience. I went from thinking the review would be one star, to having a blast with this toy, to all the way back down to one star. So let's start with the good.

This toy is incredibly fun when it works. It does take a little practice to fly it without crashing, but within about 30 minutes I was basically an expert and could easily take it from one side of my small apartment to the other. You do have to keep in mind it needs wide turns though and the best advice I could give would be to learn how to do a controlled crash so you won't panic if you're about to crash. There's a moment, when the falcon is hovering perfectly and moving smoothly, where it seems almost weightless and you can see the potential on toys like this. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends.

When I saw the original price of this toy, I almost fell over. The 'impact resistant foam' is actually just styrofoam. My heart tells me they could have covered it with extremely light plastic and made it still flyable, but I'm not a physics major. At the very least they could have given it a better paint job. You can see the little circles on the styrofoam and at several points the Falcon is simply bare, with no paint in the hard to reach areas. As a huge Star Wars fan, I can't mask my disappointment, it's just low quality.

With how fun it was to fly, this toy was on it's way to a 3 star rating. 1 Star for quality, 5 star for fun. However, out of the blue, for no reason it stopped working. Both the controller and the Falcon itself turned on, but they just refused to pair. I had flown it about ten minutes before, no crashes, nothing wrong, but suddenly it refused to function. I tried everything, charging it, changing the batteries. In vain, I even searched their website for support, but they don't even have a section for this toy.

I'm returning it tomorrow. I'm hugely shocked by the failure of this toy. I test a lot of no name brand items, some of which perform well and some of which fail inexplicably. But I purchased this toy with my own money and never have I had a name brand item stop working so quickly and so strangely.

Avoid this. It's a huge shame that this is associated with the Star Wars Brand and the Air Hogs brand and I definitely wouldn't purchase an Air Hogs item again after this experience.
