Not worth the trouble

First off, the battery life is super short! A full charge only lasts a few minutes. You have to use indoors or the thing can just fly away on you! It’s pretty loud and can be super annoying! The concept is good, a drone you can control with your hands, it’s just really poorly executed.

Did not work and no returns

I purchased this from Robotshop through Amazon for my grandson for Christmas and it did not work. I contacted Robotshop for a return slip and I was told because it was over 30 days they would not take the return. I actually just wanted a replacement. I explained that it was a gift and wasn’t opened until Christmas and was basically told sorry but no return. I as well as my grandson was very disappointed as it was not cheap.

Great fun toy ,

Great toy for kids that can catch on quick and take direction well. Do not use outside or you will likely lose it . the sensors could be better . I feel like it just does its own thing . small battery . we like that theres no controller to use or batteries to replace .

Flew away

I took it outside to fly it for the first time after charging. Started it up. Put my hand under the bottom to push it higher. It starts rising. Within 4-5 seconds it was out of my reach. Expecting for it to come back down, I didn’t take action fast enough. It flew up, over the top of my house. At this point I realize it’s not coming down. I watch it rise and rise and rise until it reaches a point where I can no longer see it. I never heard from it again. Don’t really know how to review this product because I never actually got to do anything with it. Merry Christmas

The Air Hogs Supernova is a cool toy, however, charging it for 45-50 minutes for 5-7 minutes of play is ridiculous and nonsensical. Such high tech gear and they can't manage to make it retain enough power to fly for more than 6 minutes. Not impressed at all! Not sure why other consumers have not mentioned this but I'm sure even my 7 year old son will not be impressed either.

Great fun! Better Laughs!

Finding the right flying toy can be a daunting task. Some aren't responsive enough, some are too complicated for kids to use. That is NOT the case here! This was a toy for our 8yo son and he has loved every minute of playing with it! He has tricks figured out, he is steering it moderately well. It makes us laugh out loud when he steers it wrong and it bumps the wall, or furniture, or sometimes pet! Good thing it has the cage on it, so no harm done to it or the object it bumps! the only thing that is a little bummer is the battery life. But after a good 5 minutes of solid play and laughs, it's plug it up and wait to play again and again and again!

This is quite the fun item.

I have three boys from 18 down to 6 and they fly these all around the house. It took the youngest a couple of days to get the technique down, but now he's a pro. They appear to be a bit flimsy, but they have actually sttod up to some " battles." Great item. Charge isn't letting ng, but it's to be expected for the size and weight.

Fun for all ages

Okay, so I know this is a kids toy, but seriously, this is fun for all ages. Sure, my eight year old loved it and had fun with it, but so did my husband as well as some guests. This is easy to control and manuever. Durability is awesome with this as well. If I said we didn't crash this a lot when learning to fly it, I would be lying. This thing took a beating and still worked as good as new. The battery life on this was okay. I would have liked to see it last a little longer since technically this is a kids toy and let's face it, they do not have much patience for all of that, but other than that, it was a hit.

Good small orb to play

The Air Hogs Supernova takes awhile to get to learn how to use this toy since there are quite a few tricks. I took me awhile and it was hard to control. It is light and easy to charge however I feel the battery does not hold much since it is very small. I wish it charging it was faster too.

I had better luck watching the videos online to get tips. Definitely a toy to use inside the house since it is so small.
