If I feel like having a light makeup day- I will use this for running errands or going to the beach. I never experienced a break-out or irritation. I just personally prefer a full coverage makeup routine to cover my acne scars. I do like the sun protecting benefit. My next plan is to give this to my mom because she uses no make up at all and I feel like this is dipping your toe in the water. It will give you a radiant look. If you're skeptical, buy it when it goes on sale. But definitely think about giving it your mom or older sister- because it's close enough to feeling like a moisturizer that they won't be overwhelmed with a texture or thickness they might not like.

This was my first time purchasing Almay make-up. Truth me told I'm really bad at putting on make-up. Almay has absolutely solved that problem for me with there smart shade line . Works amazing and is sooo easy to use , even for me . Definitely recommend it !

I picked this as a try it free mail in rebate. I find that it matches very well, the coverage is light, so I apply powder. I don't think it is buildable coverage so if you prefer full coverage, this is not for you. I do like it and find this technology vey cool. I think I may be a little old for this type of makeup at 48 , I need a bit more coverage. It's formula is gentle and sent free.

I love this. Obviously it's not actually smart shades but rather neutral shades with colour beads that burst as you blend them.. As it is, this is more of a BB Cream/Tinted Moisturizer type product. It has sufficient SPF to provide UVB/UVA protection and offers light coverage that doesn't settle into my pores. I use concealer or a higher coverage foundation where I need it, but for daily makeup this base definitely works for me..especially when I can get it on sale.

Really disappointed by this. Yes it looks like white lotion at first and when you blend it it turns into a matching pigment to your skin tone. But on my skin I felt like it was so minimal and sheer i can't even tell I put any on. It would be great for someone who wants a really natural look, but It didn't help conceal or improve the look of my skin.

I use this product every day. I love that it doesn't clog my pores and matches my skin colour perfectly! It is a minimal concealer, so if you have dark spots to cover, this may not be the product for you.

This is a wonderful product. I find it very amusing that the colour actually changes to match your skin. It is very impressive. The only issue with this product is that if my hands are hot when applying the product it actually changes to a very dark shade. This is not good as I have very pale skin. :( At that point I must remove what I have applied and reapply after washing my hands with cool water. When the makeup is applied properly it actually hides all of my imperfections very very well. It evens my skin tone and actually appears as though I am not wearing any makeup at all. I do very much enjoy this product and would most defiantly recommend this product to family and friends. The product is a little bit on the pricy side but I find it is very much worth it.

gI wear foundation every day. I really like this one. It is easy to blend and provides long-lasting coverage. Does not irritate the skin.

I like how the product blends in well with my skin tone. I have some unevenness in my skin tone on my face so this product gives me a pretty even tone.

One little perk with the product is that it has 15 SPF. Not very strong but it's a little bit of help. I'm prone to getting freckles on my face so I wear sunblock on my face. This is a little bonus.

Overall this is a relatively good product. One thing thought that you will need is a powder to set it. This foundation leaves skin looking a little dewy. So for a nice matte finish, finish off with your regular translucent face powder.

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price ($17CDN -- my usual foundation is only $7), but after picking the wrong shades of my usual brand a few times in a row I decided to give it a shot, since it promises to eliminate the problem of finding the perfect shade. Well, it works! It's nice on my skin, feels light, and the shade is indeed perfect. I have olive skin which tans really easily in the summer and pales quickly once fall arrives, so having a foundation that will make those subtle changes WITH my skin was awesome. I'd definitely recommend it.
